I had just the most amazing time with Cy and Debs at their beachfront lighthouse. The beach is clean and most always empty, the sunsets are incredible and you get to watch them from either your sea view balcony or from the top of your very own lighthouse! A little difficult to find but the rustic Bototito sign even adds to the feeling of being in your tiny pueblo with all the space in the world, though we had a few nights in the party town 20 minutes up the road. Big, clean swimming pool, gorgeous grounds, a lighthouse and two of the loveliest guys ever.

After visiting Quito, Otavalo and Cuenca we were looking forward to a little 'downtime' at the beach prior to our return to the us; we were not disappointed. The beach house was spacious, clean and well appointed. Our hosts, Deb and Cy were gracious, available when needed and highly respectful of our privacy. With a pool outside our door, the beach outside our yard and an incomparable view from the tower, the only thing that possibly could have made it better is an afternoon's read in a hammock - oh, wait - we had that, too! Though out of town, bus and taxi service is readily available but this is a rural community with a little, bustling, tourist town nearby; you will not find city excitement here. Thank you, Deb, Cy (and andrew too) for opening your home to us and for providing us with a week that will always be special in our hearts.
