Alexander's Inn has evolved from a Santa Fe Bed & Breakfast of 9 rooms to a unique and much smaller operation. We cater to the guest who seeks more than a vacation rental in Santa Fe yet prefers the autonomy and privacy not found at other inns.

This Casita, located in the historic east side and just five blocks from the Santa Fe Plaza, offers a cozy and traditional Santa Fe residence. With a small sitting room and kitchenette downstairs and a beautiful king bedroom nestled in the trees on the second floor (accessed via a spiral staircase), you have all you need for a short visit to Santa Fe. Each arriving guest is welcomed with a basket filled with homemade cookies, fresh fruit, coffee & teas, chips, salsa and bottled water. The rate also includes a full breakfast at our nearby Hacienda Nicholas Bed and Breakfast, just three blocks away.

Guests rave about our heavenly beds, made up with fine linens, down comforters and feather pillows. For your utmost comfort and convenience, we provide daily maid service, concierge services, luxuriously soft robes, phone, wireless internet access, an iPod Speaker System, cable TV, DVD & CD players and air conditioning.   At close to $2,000 for a week this rental needs improvement. These photos are of the one bedroom casita where we stayed - it's not two bedrooms. Look out throught the door in the photo and you can see the 4 patios slab "Patio" surrounded by a coyote fence which is part of the parking lot. The "kitchen" is along one wall of the living room. It has no oven, only a mini fridge and minimal utensils. Also there is no table to eat at so it's either on your knees, or share a side table. The bathroom is downstairs - a rea inconvenience. Need it in the night and you have to go down to it, take a shower and either your clothes have to be taken down, or you have to go up and get them afterwards. Aso it opens right on to the living room at the wall with the kitchnette on it - far from sanitary particularly as it has no window that opens to vent it. The spiral staircase to the loft bedroom is shaky and potentially a real danger as it only has a partial rail around the top of it.
  Best that can be said is that the bed is good and it's air cooled.

  I am puzzled by this review as the guest's complaints pertain to the cost being almost $2,000/week, yet we charge only $1,136/week. The other complaints pertain to the layout of the rental, though we go to great lengths to describe the Casita as having a kitchenette, a cozy sitting room, and bedroom accessed with a spiral staircase. This is both written out and shown in the five various photos of the unit shown on Flipkey.
  
  I can only assume she thought she was renting a different unit. In addition, our written description mentions the availability of a large garden space for guests to enjoy (lawn, gardens, large trees, wicker furniture, glider swing), and there is also a note by the Casita front door inviting guests to enjoy this garden space. The small patio, which is flagstone (and not slab) is indeed right off the parking lot, separated by a coyote fence, and is small. This is why we offer the larger and prettier garden setting.
  
  We have photos of the kitchenette, the sitting room, the spiral stairs (securely bolted!), and the bedroom. In no way are we attempting to mislead anyone into thinking they are getting a full kitchen, a large living room, or two bedrooms. Clearly it does no good to misrepresent a property, so we go to great lengths to describe the Casita so there are no unpleasant surprises.
  
  Our other rentals (Cottage, Juniper and Pinon) are far larger and have full kitchens and dining areas, though they do cost a bit more. Our rates includes daily maid service and daily full breakfasts for two at our Hacienda Nicholas B&B. Perhaps this guest thought she was renting one of the larger units, though when the confirmation is sent out it too includes a description of the Casita.
  
  Lastly, there is a note in each rental encouraging guests to please let us know if there are any problems whatsoever, as many can be taken care of within minutes. It is most unfortunate that we were not alerted of this particular guest's dissatisfaction, as we would have done our utmost to move her to a more suitable accommodation.

  Spacious, well designed apartment with all conveniences

  My family of four, including two daughters ages 12 and 16, absolutely loved this apartment. We often cooked in the kitchen and it had everything we needed. There were two bedrooms with king-size beds, each with firm matresses for a very comfortable sleeping experience.Close enough to walk to the plaza in 15 minutes, the hill was not as bad as I expected.(That said, we are from NYC and are used to walking everywhere.)We plan on staying here again and will definitly recommend this apartment to anyone who asks.
