Cassidy Compound was a great place to stay for a family vacation. Convenient location, close to art galleries on Canyon Rd. and skiiing. Home was very comfortable, clean, well maintained, tastefully decorated, and well equipped. Staff a Kokopelli were very helpful. One of our best vacations in Santa Fe.

Denton, TXChristmas on Canyon Road
Left on 01/13/2011 for a stay in December 2010
We had a wonderful Christmas holiday at the Cassidy Compound. Everything we needed was provided and the two units were spotless. Only downside was construction at another unit in the compound which made parking difficult. We appreciate the property management promptly picking up our Christmas tree, also. Property owner might want to discuss one neighbor's lack of "pet etiquette " in not picking up after their large dog. Made for some unpleasant ventures from car to front door in the dark!

No where on the web site does it mention the spiral staircase. If this rental had been last year (before I had a knee replacement) I could not have managed. as it was I left my big suitcase downstairs and took things up piecemeal. Is there someway you can inform renters prior to signing the lease. It could really be a problem for older people or anyone with back problems or arthritis.I loved the location and enjoyed the outdoor area.

This information about the spiral staircase is both on the website and always disclosed to potential renters over the phone. It could be an issue for young children as well as older folks.

The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The only negatives are the spiral staircases which are a little hard to negotiate and the broken window mechanisms which made it hard to open during the cool hours and close during the heat of the day until we figured out how to do it. Wheeling the trash can, which we found very full, over the long gravel driveway was not fun; the maintenance crew would have to make a separate visit on Tuesday night to do that and return Wednesday to pick it up. The garden is a shady oasis all day long. The kitchens are well appointed. We loved the house.

This house is wonderfully located between Canyon Road and Acequia Madre near the park. The house itself needs some "tlc". The screens on the windows don't fit so bugs are able to get into the house. Some of the casement windows are in poor repair and are not easily opened or closed. Both the guest house and main house have spiral stairs making it difficult to get to the bedrooms.
Kokopelli was wonderful to work with to try and resolve issues. Thank you Marilyn Proctor!! -

Jason Couillard, CFO, was extremely helpful. Also, the two cleaning ladies were terrific.

The property was in perfect condition when the guest arrived during a snow/wind storm. We had the windows done for him while it was raining and gave him a complimentary maid service. He rented a 100 year old charming adobe on famed Canyon Road. He needed a brand new contemporary home but that was not what he asked for or reserved.

Left on 03/22/2010 for a stay in March 2010
Loved the location - it was so convenient to galleries, restaurants, and ski road, etc. It was Santa Fe at its picture-perfect best when it snowed overnight and the young ones in the family had a great time with snowball fights and talking to the neighbors in the compound. We did have a couple of problems - could not open the door and had no heat or hot water the first night but both issues were taken care of promptly. The house was very cosy for our family of 8 but we could have done with a little more living space, particularly when some friends dropped by at the end of the day. You can't have it all and it was delightful staying in an old adobe in a historic part of Santa Fe. We are already thinking about next year and will be in touch as soon as we have worked out schedules.

As the guest said, the heating and hot water issue was promptly taken care of once reported.
