Casa del Monte Sol is an historic 3100 square foot authentic adobe home located in the prestigious east side on Camino Del Monte Sol. This home has three bedrooms, two baths, bunk room and family room, plus a spacious outdoor living portal off the living room and kitchen.
A short walk down Camino Del Monte Sol leads you to the world famous Canyon Road galleries. Continue on a scenic stroll to the Central Plaza or a walk up Camino Del Monte Sol to Museum Hill. My daughter & I rented this lovely home for two weeks. We visit Santa Fe every year and have rented a home there in the past, but this particular house is quite special. To begin, the location is great. It is only 3 blocks from Canyon. It is quite private with a walled in courtyard. The feeling from the moment you open the front gate is one of spaciousness - and this only gets better when you enter the front door and see the size of the rooms. The decor is Santa Fe, at its best. South Western, but subtle, warm, and inviting. It does not have a case of the cutes! Even if it is your first visit to Santa Fe, you feel that you are in a special place. We had guests from Sweden and wanted them to have the full experience of Santa Fe. They stayed in the "white" room with the canopy bed - and loved not only their room, but the entire house. We had a catered, sit down dinner for 23 in the portal. Lovely to eat outside and practical because we did not have to be concerned about being rained on. Also, the portal is in close proximity to the large, large modern kitchen so the servers had no problem serving the food. We also had two Native american dancers who were able to perform with no problem in the courtyard. The only problem we had was that we were not ready to go home. A three week stay would have been ideal.
