Denver, COWaking Sky
Left on 08/09/2011 for a stay in August 2011
Waking Sky is a perfect home base in Santa Fe. It is well designed, wonderfully furnished and accessorized with art and a well equipped kitchen, has a convenient location in our favorite neighborhood, and is oriented to a beautiful view. We felt like pampered house guests rather than renters. We highly recommend Waking Sky.
There are minor maintenance items, but overall no more than we expect with a rental property.
Both the days and the house were hot and although we opened the house at night and closed it up during the day, we still needed to borrow two fans from a friend who lives in town. I would recommend having more fans available in the house or installing ceiling fans, if not a swamp cooler.
It would be helpful if Kokopelli would rewrite their instruction sheet so that it more clearly provides the office address and directions to the office from points other than I-25, includes a map that shows the office location relative to nearby landmarks, and provides directions to the house. If we didn't know Santa Fe, we would have had trouble finding both.
Kudos to Kokopelli's web site. It does a great job describing the houses and I found it to be extremely user-friendly. I would appreciate a little better idea of the locations of the houses - the neighborhood name or a map that at least identifies the general area. I understand the concern with providing specific addresses.
Overall, a great house and a wonderful esperience. -
San Francisco, CAStayed 9 days at...
Left on 07/02/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Stayed 9 days at this lovely and well-appointed property. Having coffee on the front patio was delightful. Location was very private but yet only a few minutes to the Plaza.
Amenities stated (and photo showed) a window air conditioner. Finally found it in a closet.
Also, amenities state that there is a ceiling fan, however, there is no ceiling fan in the house.
Photos show table and umbrella on front patio--they were not there either.
Kokopelli information/photos need to be updated to ensure guests have the information they need to make the best decision.
I also would like to suggest that each rental property have a binder containing information pertinent to that property. -

Atlanta, GAGreat views!!!
Left on 06/01/2011 for a stay in May 2011
Having never been to Santa Fe I don't think we could have picked a better location. Being just above town on the hill gave us the privacy and the views we were looking for. The home was perfect for us 4 friends and very comfortable. Canyon Road was quite walkable from our location and we enjoyed the shops and scenery. We would stay again!!!

We've rented houses in many cities over the past few years but Waking Sky ranks as the very best! From its convenient location on a hill close to Canyon Road, its cleanliness, amenities and extremely helpful staff, we could not have asked for anything better. First time in Santa Fe, but we will be returning.

60859Amazing Views!!
Left on 09/25/2010 for a stay in September 2010
Waking Sky is a perfect oasis!!! I loved Santa fe, but I could have spent my entire vacation sipping coffee (or wine) on the patio while enjoying the amazing views. Waking Sky has a perfect location. It is within walking distance of so many things (art district, plaza), but it is so private you feel like you are miles away for the city.
The house appears as if it was professionally decorated. The beds are comfortable, linens high end, and kitchen well stocked. -

60859Perfect Birthday Get-a-way!
Left on 09/25/2010 for a stay in May 2010
Stayed here for my birthday in May! My husband and I loved the place! We had coffee every morning on the patio and watched the sun rise...breathtaking! Great location...we walked into historic Sante Fe for sightseeing, excersise, galleries and great restaurants! Had a nice stroll to La Posada spa, which was an easy stroll downhill for a fantastic massage! Absolutely cozy dinner in one night in front of the fireplace! The property is beautifully decorated in the spirit of Sante Fe and they had great linens/towels! Felt almost spa-like. Read guestbook and got a ton of great suggestions for our next trip! Would definitely stay here again...next time we're comming with friends! This place is perfect!!!

Madison, WI, USAGreat Experience
Left on 09/24/2010 for a stay in September 2010
We recently stayed at Waking Sky and were extremely pleased with our experience. The views from the house are breathtaking. We spent much of our time on the patio reading and enjoying the mountain views. The home is beautifully decorated and well supplied with kitchen and bathwares, and the appliances are all new. The house is very well maintained and the landscaping is beautiful and unique.
The property is close to the Canyon Rd galleries, the Plaza and two very nice parks are a short walk away. We rented road bikes from Melo Velo and had a great day of riding, to work off some of our vacation calories. This house was a great basecamp for all of our activities. We will definatly come back to this house for our future visits to Santa Fe.
