Beautiful home away from home, quiet, no traffic noise and on a dead end street, spacious 2 bedroom, one/plus bathrooms. One area has a jet tub, a shower and a double vanity. The water closet ( toilet/sink is in a seperate space with two different entries. Also a full kitchen with all utensils, ice maker, chilled water, and dishwasher and a table/seating for six. In the living room a flat screen/DTV and a home Theatre system. A television and a king size bed in the master bedroom. A queen bed in the guest room. Located in the Guadalupe district of historic Santa Fe. Groceries, clothing stores, restaurants, movies and more are just 5 to 10 minutes walking. Enjoy a neighborhood full of history and culture in an easy home town setting. The Santa Fe river walk is 2 minutes walking. The DeVarges shopping Mall is 5 minutes walking with an Sprouts and Albertsons groceries, Star Bucks, movie theater, Ross Clothing Store, Hastings and more. Also close by is Whole Foods and La Montanita Coop. Vanesie Dinner Bar and Dinner for two are right down the street off of San Francisco st.. High Way 285 is one minute driving. Driving north 15 mintes is the Santa Fe Opera. Keep on going and your a on your way to San Ildefonso Indian Pueblo, Bandelier, Tesugue and Taos.

Though unassuming from the outside, Casa Candelario is a treasure! Great kitchen, huge master suite, lovely patio. The owner, Michael, was super friendly and was over with the key in a couple of minutes (when we couldn't find it); he also gave us a quick tour of the patio and gas grill. The location is great, too...about 15 minutes' walk to the plaza, and about 7 to Casa Chimayo (great NM restaurant).
There are also a lot of little touches, from the beautiful polished plastered walls to the granite counters in the kitchen to gorgeous native pots to the enormous master bath. It was also spotlessly clean. I'd come back in a heartbeat...much better than staying in a big hotel. -

A short walk to the Plaza, safe, quiet and more than anyone would need. Perfect for a couple with a large king-sized bed we didn't want to get out of it was so comfy. Nicely appointed and our host Michael was wonderful.
The garage is a huge plus, as is the steam shower and private backyard area. This was our second stay at Casa Candelario and it won't be our last.
