Enjoy this fabulous home built in the 1930’s. The property is professionally decorated and has original art throughout the home. The location is on a quiet street in the well sought after neighborhood of the South Capitol.
The property sleeps eight guests. The main home offers two bedrooms and two baths. The downstairs suite has a gas fireplace and full bath. In addition, there is a private detached casita suite with another bedroom, sitting area and bath.

We recently rented "Artist's Retreat" for our daughter's wedding. We absolutely loved the home. The owners spared no expense in updating this home. Their decorating touches are everywhere. The updated kitchen is a chef's dream. We had access to every utensil imaginable. The courtyard is in pristine condition and was perfect for serving our guests. The linens are of the highest quality. The only negative I found in this home is that we stayed there at the end of June. The house was not air conditioned, and it was unseasonably hot. There are window units in the bedrooms, but I wouldn't recommend having guests in the bedroom in the basement. It was simply too hot to sleep down there.

This is a lovely home that surrounded us in the luxury we seek while on vacation. The gardens are idyllic, the kitchen well-stocked and the furniture comfy for reading or chatting. Spacious enough for four couples to enjoy their privacy and yet all accommodations were comparably outfitted. Dinner on the back portico overlooking the gardens with a fire raging in the outdoor fireplace was positively spectacular. A very special place for a very special time. And thank you, Adobe Destinations, for the added bonus of a solar eclipse!

We had a fabulous time at the artist's retreat. It was beautiful and serene. The decor was lovely and it was great to spend the weekend amongst the original paintings by the owners of the house. The kitchen was appointed beautifully and the back yard was truly to die for. Such a lot of good space to ramble around in. My only teeny complaint was not enough seating in the living room for the 8 people total. Perhaps the addition of a love seat or two more comfortable chairs would be great. Overall, it was a truly beautiful and classy home.
