The neighborhood is the Guadalupe Historical district and is charming in every way. Narrow streets, old style homes dating to the 1900's, mature trees for patio shade and a convenient walking to "everything" ...farmers market, the Rail Yard, the Plaza ...really everything is so close by. Parking is an issue in Santa Fe with those old, narrow streets and fortunately we have two parking spaces at the door !

The house was amazing. It had this eclectic yet classy vibe. It was so much fun just to walk through the house and check out all of the artwork. I loved the fireplaces in the living room, dining room and especially outside. Do you know how peaceful it was to wake up on a cool crisp morning and have a cup of coffee (or tea if you don't like coffee) in front of an outdoor fireplace? You will have to take my word for it unless you go experience it for yourself.
The location could not have been better. You are less than a mile from the plaza and railyard. Tons of restaurants within walking distance. Eating out the house was great too. Albertsons and Sprouts are about a mile away. The house has pretty much any thing you need for cooking. I will never forget having my glass of wine while cooking in that kitchen with a fire in the kitchen kiva. Heaven!
I loved it. I will go back and stay here.
P.S. Play apples to apples (a game my husband found in the house) we laughed until we cried -

We have just spent a weekend here with our 2 young children and this would have to be one of the best rental homes we've stayed in. The owner's artistic flair is inspiring and makes the home such a beautiful space to be in. Jeanine couldn't have been more welcoming: "help yourself" messages on food cupboards etc, everything you could possibly need kitchen-wise is here. We took it upon ourselves to do a bit of "kiddie-proofing" but Jeanine couldn't have been more encouraging of the children. The courtyard space was great for them as is sunny, fun with lots of color and character (funky/quirky touches). Sitting outside in the fairy-lit courtyard was a great way to spend the evenings. The house is an easy 5min walk from restaurants and also an easy 10-12min walk from the plaza. The master bedroom space is wonderful and comfortable and at the other end of the house to the 2nd bedroom. We could have stayed for a month!
