Casa De Colores is a Santa Fe adobe home with vigas in most rooms, latillas in an expansive kitchen and traditional accents throughout. The original date of construction is unknown but the house was extensively remodeled in 2006 with venetian plaster, radiant heat and wood floors. The main house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The guest house is a studio with a small but full kitchen. Both houses have washer and dryer. There is a large portal spanning the entire front of the house and a patio with kiva fireplace and barbecue off of the master bedroom. The casa is located in the historic east side of Santa Fe on a quiet dirt lane. The neighborhood has a rural feel with a view of the Sangre de Cristo mountains but it's only a short walk to both Canyon Rd and the Plaza. Many art galleries, restaurants and historic sites are nearby. There is a trail from arroyo in the neighborhood winding through the hills into Ft. Marcy Park. It's a short drive to both the Dale Ball Trail system, the hiking trails and Ski basin off of Hyde Park Rd. The spa at La Posada is 0.5 miles and Ten Thousand Waves is a 3 mile drive.

This was my first visit to Santa Fe and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The house was beautiful and the decor was amazing. Beautiful artwork and custom furniture throughout. The location was just right. Close enough to town, but out of the way as well. We walked into town every day.
The outside area has plenty of seating and an outdoor fireplace for relaxing with a glass of wine, or whatever your drink of choice.
I would definitely come back to this place for future trips.
