Our apartment is located in Santa Marinella, within the wide property that houses the wonderful Odescalchi Castle. Built in the fifteenth century, surrounded by palms and pine trees, the Caslte is overlooking the harbour of Santa Marinella and stands on the ruins of the ancient Punicum.
You will be immersed in a place of great historical and cultural interest, in the middle of the city centre, a stone's throw from the harbour and the immense blue of the Tyrrhenian Sea! Walking out of the property you will reach Piazza Trieste, the largest and most lively place of Santa Marinella, known for a great choice of excellent seafood restaurants and pizzerias! Then, a few steps away you will arrive at the town's picturesque harbour, which, besides being pleasant to have a nice walk, it is also the place where the fishermen and sailors meet at sunset or sunrise, where you can buy fresh fish directly from the boats returning from fishing.
Once there, you can taste a cold beer sitting at the small bar admiring the sunset and the return of the boats.
After dinner, the town offers plenty of entertainment: pubs, bars, stands along the sea and, for our young guests, clubs in Civitavecchia located just 15 minutes away!

Santa Marinella is widely known as the pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea, due to its location on the sea and a particularly pleasant climate!
Its geographical position, facing south allows you to admire the sunrise and sunset from and over the sea!
Santa Marinella has a mild climate and it is attractive for more than 6 months in the year! The famous Tuscan coast is only a few kilometers far by car or train: Chiarone (40 minutes), Ansedonia (60 minutes), the Monte Argentario (70 minutes). The pleasant Lake Bracciano can be easily reached in just 35 minutes. If the weather is grey and you feel like a day of pure relaxation, we strongly recommend to immerse yourself in the sulphurous waters of Terme di Viterbo. If you feel like taking a pause from the peace of the gardens and the breeze of the sea consider an excursion to Rome, reachable by train (direct in 50 minutes) or by car (45 minutes drive).
You should definitely visit some historical and cultural places like the necropolises of Tarquinia and Cerveteri and the lovely villages of Tuscania and Vetralla!
If you want to continue your trip to Sardinia, Sicily or Corsica do not forget that the Port of Civitavecchia is located just a few kilometres from us!
