Perfect home for 2 families! Every bedroom has it's own bathroom! Charming decor and very well maintained. The pool/deck area is spacious and beautiful. Ideal location--close to everything--with easy access to a beautiful, quiet beach! Service and attention throughout stay was first rate! Look forward to returning soon!

We have stayed here at least 4 times over the past 6 years. Plenty of room for everyone, very close to beach access, great perk to have your own pool. For us it is important to be able to bring our aging pet with us who has medical issues so the fact that this unit is pet friendly is very important to us. This rental gives us the best of what we look for in a beach vacation!

When we got to the house it was nice then we began to have issues. The dish washer leaked the entire 7 days we were there. We called maintenance and they came out very promptly but they had to order a part and he did not know how long it would take to come in. Well it never came in while we were there. Also we saw several roaches which I complained about and I am not sure if anything was done. The pool was so hot it felt like a sauna. We called maintenance and they came out again and simply told us it was just so hot outside. So if you stay in the summer months be prepared for the pool to be hot! The house needs some upgrades as the couches are too old and lumpy after many uses. The shower upstairs needs some repairs especially in the tiles area. The house could have been a little cleaner especially under the bed.

The house was perfect, very roomy! Loved the pool and all the outside seating.
Not a very long walk to the beach, and the beach area was very nice.

This is the second year that we have stayed at this house. We enjoy the laid back feeling that you dont always achieve when staying in Destin and San Destin. The pool adds an extra amenity which is enjoyed by everyone. We also enjoy the grill and outdoor seating during the evening hours. The house is very clean and orderly. We also like the fact that the beaches are not as crowded as others.

First when you think of five star you think great, well it wasn't 2 star in my opionion,the floors were dirty,and sticky,kitchen was disgusting cabiinets sticky I cleaned them just to open them ,undoubtley you don't have a very good maid service,the grill didn't have propane which should have been there ,especially when you have women only the grill was old which I guess was a blessing, I don't know why ya'll charged me for insurance, I didn't ask for it , we left to days early couldn't take the kitchen anymore.I have stayed in bad hotel rooms but not this for the money I spent,people came in looking a the deck we were not notified about it,we were at the pool sunbathing and we sure didn;t want to be bothered,further to the beach and I don't know where the pretty walk was , I was told about, garbage right by your cars when you get out ,disgusting,It was cleaner when I left it than when I got there!!!, When you pay that much you expect it to be nicer.

I am so sorry you had to experience this problem. I am the owner of "AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEA". I too was very concerned about the conditions you described in the house. Since this happened we have made many changes to enhance the cleanliness of the house. First of all we have switched cleaning companies beginning the following season. We have also redone the kitchen with knobs on all cabinets, new appliances and new countertops. All the hard wood floor have been refinished as well. The house has been painted inside and out and new decking has been added to make the pool more accessible for all. Please accept my apology for your experience. I hope we now will reach expectations for all guests.

My husband and I had our daughter, her husband and two small children down for the week. Weather was beautiful, house was perfect for our needs and it was not too far from the beach.

What a wonderful vacation! The house was very nice and clean. The kids loved the pool. We were very close to the beach. It was an easy walk. We were also very close to Publix and Seaside.

I was so pleased to find a house with 5 bedrooms on Destin beach with a private pool! The house was exquisite with a bedroom for all of my family and views that were unbelieable! I have to tell you that what added to the wonderful vacation was the service we received from the rental company. They were right there to help us in every way. We even had a private chief come over one night to cook our dinner. My small dog was also allowed and has a great time! (smile) all in all it was an incredible vacation of a lifetime!

The house is in a great location and the private pool was wonderful!!! The layout of house worked very well for our extended family.
There were several issues that really need to be resolved, considering the rental price on this property.
1) The doors on the kitchen cabinets were very dirty. I had to purchase Clorox wipes to clean the fronts of each before any of us felt comfortable opening them, especially the garbage drawer!!
2) the baths with tile floors in the showers were molded when we got there on Sat. I know this happens in the summer, but surely the cleaning crew have bleach to clean then in between renters.
3) the ac units needs to be checked. The house never got to a comfortable temp, except in one upstairs room which was always very very cold. It made it hard to sleep.
4) and the most frustrating issue was the cooking pans and the stove. There was only two frying pans, one very large and one very small & stainless, which we worked with. The worst part was the large eyes on the stove. They only worked then they wanted to and they were crooked, so the pans sat sideways. Not very fun when cooking for 10 people.
I have to say that unless I know these things have been resolved, I would probably stay in a different house next time.Response from Five Star Beach Properties - 06/30/2010

Wonderful place, quiet neighborhood, and loved the private pool. Each bedroom had a little porch which provided great privacy for each couple to enjoy the views. Did not have to cross any busy streets to get to the beach. We had a wonderful time and would love to stay there again
The rental company responded very quickly to anything we needed from the time we inquired to the time we checked out. The only thing we were disappointed in was they didn't take credit cards. Otherwise we were very happy with everything. -

We thouroughly enjoyed the comfort of the home. It was centrally located. Very clean and well equipped. We have stayed in Seagrove/Seaside on numerous occasions and this home was the nicest.
