Fuego lodge, former Orquidea, is a family-owned business, located in Santa Teresa, about 1.5 miles from Mal Paisβ main cross road.
We are inside a gated property, on a private and quiet location, off the street yet in the middle of everything.
Fully Air-conditioned, equipped with complete kitchen, living room, dining area, bathroom with always hot water showers with good pressure, Plasma Satellite TV with premium channels in English and US and EUROPE news channels, DVD player and Private Wi-Fi connection of 2Mbs.

This Mal Pais-Santa Teresa strip is more than 2 miles of white sand beaches, with many accesses, and offers a variety of great restaurants, yoga centers, Spa, massages and shopping, along many others, all at bike distance.
We are inside a gated property, on a private and quiet location, off the street yet in the middle of everything, 5 minutes walk from groceries stores, bakery, pizza places, restaurants, yoga centers, and with beach access only 500ft from here.

We stayed at Fuego Lodge for 5 weeks and felt extremely lucky the whole time to have found it! Even before we arrived I was so happy with how helpful Barbara answering my many questions about the Lodge, being their with children, and Santa Teresa in general.
Fuego Lodge feels like a sanctuary even though it's just a quick walk off the main street. It's laid out beautifully with a clean, lovely pool surrounded by lush flowers and trees. Our place was ideal for a family with two children with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Having a cleaner every day was amazing.
Barbara and her family made us feel truly welcome as friends. They always gave us great advice and ideas for how to have the best time and I really thank Barbara and her wonderful family for making our vacation truly special. We can't wait to return to Fuego Lodge soon! -

As a "coming of age" trip my son Teig (13) and I traveled to Santa Teresa, Costa Rica for surfing. Looking for a place to stay and the opportunity to take some surf lessons I found Barbara & Itay's place, close to the beach and other amenities. From the very first interactions on the phone and over the e-mail in making arrangements. Every detail was addressed with very little trouble. In fact Barbara went out of her way to make the arrangements hassle free.
When we go there, we were spoiled! They had made sure we had our ride from the small airport at Tambor and comfortable when we checked in. Several times a day they would check in on us and be sure we were having a good time and needed any further arrangements made for excursions. Itay did a great job with surf lesson's with Teig and helped us with board rentals.
The accommodations were fantastic. Quite, relaxed and peaceful. Lounging by the beautiful pool was a treat, while also meeting many of the great guests.
Barbara and Itay are the consummate hosts and beautiful people. For me their hospitality and the peaceful setting they have created will be one to remember and also one that we will certainly revisit as a family as soon as we can.

This is the place for those looking to have a comfortable vacation in a tropical paradise. You will be treated well by the owners of Fuego Lodge and you will enjoy their attention to your every need. Their goal is to make your vacation uneventful and fun.
The location is great for surfing and outdoor activities! Fuego Lodge is a new construction with a contemporary feel. You will find yourself at home and you will not want to go back home.
