Creston, CanadaPeaceful, rustic elegance, a place to recharge!

We have just returned home from our stay at Villa Fleur de Lotus! The villa was lovely, maybe a little more rustic then we initially thought, but lovely just the same. The property is very peaceful and my family enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing vacation with two other families of friends at the villa. The beach is absolutely superb and we spent many hours on the beach. The villa lived up to all it promised and we had a wonderful vacation there. We were there during the dry season, so the dust took some getting used to, but that did not detract from our vacation... just washed the dishes a little more frequently. We were so busy enjoying the sites around us, that we only spent the evenings in the villa... it was very comfortable for our group of 10. Although the other villas are very close by, the villa seemed very private and was our exclusive little retreat. I would happily recommend this villa to any of my friends as they considered vacations to Costa Rica!

We stayed with our family in june in Villa fleur de lotus and we rented the whole villa (5 bedrooms). It was the best holidays we had ever had for us.
The villa is really beautiful, confortable, clean, quiet and immersed in nature. In the morning we could see monkeys, squirrels, lots of birds playing in the trees, it was so amazing. At night, we fell asleep with the sound of the ocean...
The villa has a direct access to Playa Hermosa, which is one of the most beautiful beach in the world, perfect for surfing.
There are a lot of activities and Christine, the owner, was so kind, she helped us organize our timetable. We went to Montezuma waterfalls, isla Tortuga, Cabo Blanco and Curu National Parks ; one of our best days there was when we rented aTV and Buggies to her husband Luis; crossing rivers, villages and wild places was so fun!
To finish we would say that Villa Fleur de Lotus is one of the best places where we stayed, and we hope to go back there soon !

The villa is very pretty and the decor is great with an asian flair.
It is just steps from the beautiful Playa Hermosa... it is peaceful, not a lot of people around. The kitchen is very well stocked which was nice... the owners leave the basic spices, olive oil, etc.
The downstairs bedrooms are very pretty with king beds and open air showers. The main portion of the house is open air with aC in bedrooms only. The overall feel was rustic.
The house is located about 15 minutes outside of the town of Santa Teresa which was made it quiet but still close enough to restaurants and stores.
The pool was very small and we did not end up using it.
The owner Christine is very helpful and lives on the property and my favorite was part was Ronnie the dog!
This is a great place for families or groups.

We loved staying here. Clean, great location, friendly owner. Our favorite beach we've been to in Costa Rica. Awesome seeing the monkeys in the trees outside our rooms each day. Excellent restaurants nearby with amazing views. We'll be back for sure!

I stayed at the Villa "Fleur de Lotus" which refers to the Zen symbol of lotus flower, Christine, the host told me. More than a symbol in fact it was for me a real peace of mind that I kept during my whole stay. I felt like home, but a better one. A place surrounded by nature, friendly animals, and amazing french hosts. Looking at the parisian grey sky, I am used to remembering my wonderful costa rican routine. Yummy and exotic breakfast on the morning, followed by two hours surfing at the beach right next to the Villa (honestly the best spot ever),then a napp in one of the comfy hammocks on my roomm's terrace. On afternoons, I tried different activities, such as Pilates, Yoga, quad bike and horse riding. And then came my favouvrite part of the day, the mindblowing sunset on Hermosa Beach, followed by a convivial coktail time in the Villa's pool. After 3 weeks of this special treatment, better than a Spa, I came back in the City, tanned, in good shape, rested, happy. Sometimes it takes a trip to paradise...

I had a wonderful 2 week stay here this past winter. I needed some where quiet and peaceful to take a break from work and get some surfing in. The location is perfect, the owners and staff were very professional and I will certainly be returning. I stay in hotels about 150 nights a year for business travel so this little villa was like having my own home on the perfect little beach in Costa.

Don't waste your time searching for a place to stay in Costa Rica, because you just found it.
The villa is clean, charming and totally worth the price. The owners are friendly and they can also give you precious infos about the surrounding areas and the many activities you can do. Furthermose, the villa is only a 3 minutes walk away from the Playa Hermosa beach (one of the most beautiful beach in the world by the way).
I totally recommend the breakfast offered by the villa. With fruits (the best manguos you'll have ever tasted), toasts, eggs, cereals and gallo pinto (the typical costa rican breakfast: rice and beans), you won't even need to eat for lunch...
The only negative side of it all is that the villa is located a bit far from the town. If you have a car though, that's no problem. Even if you don't, you can always take a cab.
Playa Hermosa (near Santa Teresa) hasn't yet been invaded by tourists as Tamarindo or Jaco, so if you're looking for an authentic experience in Costa Rica, that's as good as it gets.
Enjoy! -

Washington DCThe Most amazing Place to Stay!!!
Left on 05/07/2011 for a stay in April 2011
This villa is the most incredible place we have ever vacationed!
The house is new, very clean and spacious. You can rent just a room with a private bath or the whole house. It is an incredible value for what you get. The kitchen is very well equipped, the beds are super comfortable and the outdoor shower is a treat every day. The hammocks outside are wonderful and so is the pool. The beach is 3 minutes by foot and it is the most beautiful, spacious, sandy and quiet beach, great for kids, since there are no rocks there, but also great for surfing. My 5 year old son and I took surfing lessons there as well. The beautiful tidepools are only 300 ft walking on the beach, with fish and crabs swimming around. After a hard day on the beach, reading a book in a hammock under a palm tree by the pool can be one of life's simpler pleasures. Every comfort is considered and every need is met by the Christine, the owner. We enjoyed a massages, arranged by Christine, as well as many of local activities, from Yoga, Pilates, zip-lines, Quads to horseback riding. Christine knew the best restaurants, some of them not in guide books and even drove to town to get me antibiotics when I came down with an ear infection. The town is very small but it has all one needs - a bank, pharmacy, few supermarkets, great Italian bakery, gelato store and good restaurants. The people are very nice and friendly.
I have traveled to over 20 countries but this is a special place in a beautiful setting and Christine, our host, making it perfect. We will be back!

On the outskirts of Santa Teresa, away from the crowds & hub-bub, a private little paradise with room for the nine of us to spread out. We hung out in the spacious great room, kitchen on one side, pool on the other. We were delighted with the howler monkeys & their tiny babies that visited us in the trees near the pool nearly every day. Christine set us up with great people for zip-lining, fishing, horseback, surfing, and a boat trip to Tortuga during which we saw dolphins & whales! The zip-line guys were very enthusiastic about taking our two 86 year old ladies for the ride of their lives!
