Located on a quiet dead end street, this single story, 1,800 sq ft home is newly redone in an earthy decor. Lots of healthy house plants. Open, airy and sunny; it is a place of serenity. Two couples spent a long weekend here in November. We had a wonderful time at this cozy, comfortable private home in a residential neighborhood. Although it was a few blocks to any market or restaurants, it was a peaceful and quiet area. Robin's home is meticulously clean and we enjoyed this spacious retreat. We were extremely pleased with everything from the first encounter with Robin to the moment we left. Great location for wine tasting in the Santa Ynez valley.

My husband and I and two adult daughters stayed in the house two nights for a Santa Ynez area wine tasting weekend. It is in a great location for going to all of the local wineries and out to dinner. Santa Barbara is a short drive away. The night in the hot tub with the quiet, the stars, and a the locally purchased wine was wonderful.
We found that staying in a house rather than two rooms in the hotel provided the much desired "family" time.
The only negative is that there is a house cat. I adore cats, but the daughters' don't and were especially appalled by the cat hair on their clothing (just like they are at my house.) If you are allergic or don't like cats, you should let Robin know so Fig can be relocated during your stay.Response from Robin Newman - 03/08/2012

Fig the cat and his short hair...So sorry! We do vacuum the furniture between each visit during shedding season but sounds like he slept inside during your stay.
He is now relocated on my boyfriend's ranch where he is endlessly entertained with the mice.Thanks for understanding. -

It was in a lovely location, the flowers and gardens were great to walk through! The hot tub was relaxing after the stress of all wedding arrangements! The openness made it great for entertaining! Decor was super too!
