In the renowed Langhe wine region, half-way between Alba and Asti, this 2 bed apartment is located in a restored stone farmhouse, surrounded by vineyards, with a private swimming pool. This apartment on the second floor, caters for between 4 and 6 people, in a tranquil location, 2 km from the small town of Santo Stefano Belbo. The apartment has one double bedroom, and one room with two single beds. The sofabed in the living area sleeps another two people. Vigna Dell'Acqua is surrounded by rolling hills, covered with vines. The area is a key wine producer, with both large and small wine producers. It's a peaceful location, but just 2 km from the town of Santo Stefano Belbo, where local bars and restaurants offer the specialities of the region. The town is well served with shops and services, and every Wednesday morning the local outdoor market takes place in the town square. The aperitivo is taken very seriously here, so a glass of one of the many local wines, with some tasty nimbles is an important part of the evening, when locals and visitors alike sit back and indulge. Just a half an hour by car and you arrive in the bustling and historic town of Alba on the west, whereas to the east the equally well known town of Asti. Plus the towns synonym with great wine, Barolo and Barbaresco are just a drive away, but in between, there are the smaller towns and villages of the Langhe & Monferrato region, to discover. Driving 80km south, through the rolling hills, covered with wineyards, hazelnut and fruit trees you reach, the Ligurian coast, 'the Italian Riveria'. 65 km north is the region's capital city, Turin, Torino, once home of the Italian royal family, a beautiful baroque city, famous for its food, wine and chocolate, as well of course as the birthplace of FIAT and Juventus.

Waren Ende Oktober mit unseren 2 Kindern (3,5 Jahre und 8 Monate) in diesem herrlichen Haus um von dort aus zum Trüffelfest nach alba zu fahren und das Piemont zu entdecken. Die Lage ist dafür ideal, das Haus liegt sehr ruhig ca 5 Minuten vom Ortszentrum von Santo Stefano entfernt Unser appartment war sehr schön eingerichtet (nicht die üblichen Ikdemöbel oder dunkler agriturismo-Dekor), vor allem das Badezimmer könnte mit jedem Viersternehotel mithalten. Der Küchenblock ist funktionell, wir haben ihn zwar nur fürs Frühstück und die Zubereitung der Kinderessen genutzt, von der ausstattung würde es aber jedenfalls auch zum Pastakochen reichen. Und es gab sogar ein richtiges Babybett aus Holz ( und nicht eines der oft anzutreffenden wackeligen Reisebetten). Der Pool war schon abgedeckt, unsere Dreijährige meinte aber, sie wolle im Sommer wiederkommen, damit sie dort dann auch schwimmen kann. Insgesamt ein wunderbarer Urlaub, auch dank der gast- und kinderfreundlichen Besitzer

Lovely comfortable apartments, nicely decorated, in a restored old farmhouse.
The location is great and peaceful, but close to the town of Santo Stefano, with its weekly markets and great restaurants too.
The views, especially from the pool area are amazing.
Great spot to discover Piedmont and its great wines...We'll be back :)
