Left on 02/14/2013 for a stay in February 2013
We just got back from a week stay at the Sanur Bali Villas. It was amazing! The villa was clean, the rooms were a good size, and the staff was very helpful. The pool wasn't huge and when we first got there we had our eye on going to the pool with the swim up bar next door, but never ended up going because the villa pool was all we needed. The villa is close to the beach, a ton of great restaurants, some shopping, and my personal favorite, massage places. The driver, Nano, picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. He also took us on a day trip for a very reasonable price. I would recommend this villa to anyone. We felt very safe and it made our trip to Bali that much better.

Wwe stayed in villa 3 my sister and family in villa 4 .
vlla 4 had more user friendly steps at the enterance (gate/door)villa 3 was a bit steep (not a drama )
otherwise these villas are the same just like the pictures on the website .
beds comfy aircon great the water cooler was a bonus , hot cold and room temp .(no daily water bottles too worry about) Had breaky at the porch/ flashbacks so loved that airconditioning nice food and coffee .Would stay again for sure.
Only bummer not villas fault was gryia santrain all nine of us went there, pooltowels in hand hoping too spend the afternoon poolside. Only two sunbeds were occupied.
However this was not the case we were told we wre more than welcome to buy a main meal in the restaurant then if we wanted to swim, pay a fee of about 125,000 each ( i think ]
We couldnt order lunch by the pool :(
so we took our money elsewhere

Hi Sue,
We are pleased you enjoyed your stay at our Bali Sanur Beach Villa's. In regards to you mentioning the next door Griya Santrian Hotel, I would like to make it clear that this is nothing to do with our villa's (as you know) we are private villa's, the villa's are not part of the Griya Santrian Hotel. They are next door to the hotel and we share the same security driveway entrance as the Griya Santrian Hotel and the Vila Shanti Hotel. Which are all seperate from each other. I was informed by the Griya Santrian that their pool package includes a meal, but I can not comment to their rules and regulations at their hotel. Thank you for your review and we look forward to welcoming you back to stay at our Bali Sanur Beach Villa's in the future. -

We have just returned from 9 nights staying at these villas. On arrival at the airport villa driver Nano was waiting for us, he is a lovely man who speaks great english and is quite knowledgable about all areas of Bali, we used him several times whilst there one day sight seeing and the other days for shopping nothing was too much trouble for him. Now to the villa, when we arrived all the staff were waiting for us, they introduced themselves and then showed us around and explained how everything worked and also gave us a list of phone numbers in case of any problems. We stayed in villa 4 which is the very back villa, the villa was in a very quiet location and was just lovely. What we liked also was that the kitchen/lounge area had glass sliding doors which you could close and have the airconditioner on or leave open as you pleased, its nice to have an area other than the bedroom to sit in and still be able to keep cool. All rooms had a LCD/DVD player and were large and spacious the main bedroom was enormous with a walk in wardrobe and a huge bathroom. Wi-fi is provided although we had a few issues with this but a phone call to the property manager and it was rectified within the hour, very prompt service. I loved the location, its within the grounds of the Griya Santrian and Villa Shanti resorts and a quick 2 min stroll onto the beach, there are many restaurants out the front to eat at, and boy did we try a few of them and were not disapointed once. Hardys supermarket is about a 10 min stroll and has everything that you need although I couldn't tell you what I cooked as I didn't lol, this holiday was about relaxing and thats what we did. The pool is not huge but large enough for us and served its purpose cooling us down, I should also mention that I made several trips to a laundry which was across the road and down a laneway (2 min walk) and god am I missing it now. I can highly recommed these villas and look forward to returning in the future, thanks Cindy & Joe

The pool was lovely & easy to get in & out of. The location is fantastic & was a very short walk to the beautiful Sanur Beach. Would stay here again when we need a 3 bedroom villa.

Left on 11/02/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Our family of four stayed at these new villas for 5 nights late Sept/early October. We absolutely loved our stay here. Having only ever staying in hotels/resorts before we were unsure if our children ( aged 15 and 11) would like the villa experience. Well we needn't have worried, they loved it! The condition of the villas is exactly as is shown in the pictures. They are new, very clean and beautifully furnished. We had so much space, that it is certainly going to be difficult to stay in small hotel rooms again! I particularly loved being able to make my morning coffee and enjoy it sitting by the pool, without waking anyone else in the family up. Probably the only issue families with younger children may have(we had this with my 11 year old) is that the three sleeping compounds are separate and need to be key locked at night (do you lock them in or do they lock themselves in?) My son felt scared to sleep alone and so he either shared a room with his sister or my husband or I had to sleep on the twin bed in his room. (not ideal ). I do feel an interconnecting door (that could be locked if not required) between bedroom compound 1 and 2 would have alleviated this problem in the design stages.
The position of these villas is perfect. Great central location in Sanur. Close to the beach , Sindhu beach markets and many beachside eateries and also close to the main road with Hardys and many other great restaurants.
We hired bikes for the duration of our stay and rode everywhere. Riding the beach path in Sanur in the early morning is just fabulous.
The villas also have lovely white cane beach chairs on their own section of the beach to the south past the Griya santrian and Villa Shanti. We loved spending time here.
We must also make a special note of thanks to Cindy -it was my husbands and sons birthday while we were at the villas. Cindy kindly organized a beautiful birthday cake and would not take any payment for this.
Overall we had a great family holiday and would love to stay at these villas again. We are just hoping that as they grow in popularity they don't go out of our price range. -

Today we leave :( but I just wanted to thank Cindy, Joe & their wonderful staff for a fantastic stay in their villa's.
The villa was well appointed & set up to accommodate tourists needs. The location is ideal and close to the beach and restaurants.
I can't commend the staff highly enough, they were attentive to everything.
Thank you again, this is definitely our new choice of accommodation when we return to Sanur.
Kind regards,

We had a fantastic holiday in the villa. The privacy of having our own villa was brilliant. They are beautiful, clean and in a great location close to shops and beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed spending time with the driver, Nano. I've been to Kuta a few times but found Sanur more appropriate for a family. My kids didn't want to come home so I can guarantee we will be back.
A really enjoyable holiday that I'd recommend to anyone.
Loved it, loved it, loved it. -

Dhahran, Saudi ArabiaNot New and Deluxe but a Great Location
Left on 09/15/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Our stay was for six nights and we came for R&R.; The location is perfect you could easily walk to many different restaurants and to the beach. There is even a market relatively close by to pick up groceries. We were met at the airport and taken to the villa and given the keys upon arrival. There is a manual available with numbers to call if you need service, which we did.
I feel a need to point out a few issues with the villa since the villa is advertised as brand new. Several items need attention as listed: 1. Everyday we had to call for towels. The towels provided definitely are showing wear in general and are usually very thin and greyish in color. On more than one occasion we were given towels with stains on them. Also, only two bath towels were provided and we had to constantly remind them to leave a 3rd as there were no hand towels for the bathroom sink. 2.Exterior plants near the master bedroom were loaded with some type of bug (mealy bug?) and would get into your drink, clothing, etc. if you sat outside. 3. Paint is bubbled and peeling on many of the inside walls. 4. The canvas umbrella provided for shade has several holes. 5. No attention to detail when dusting or washing the floors.
Having had great expectations based on advertisement, we were expecting "new and deluxe accommodations" but found this villa sadly lacking in this regard.
We emailed the owner and provided pictures of above listed problems but to date have not had a response. If these problems are not addressed, I feel the listed price of rental is too high.Response from Cindy & Joe - 10/04/2012
Owner
Dear Richard and Dolores,
It is a shame that you did not receive the email which we had sent to you. I am well aware of the email which you had sent to us and I did in fact reply to the email the same day as it was received, as I do think it is important to address matters of such. (If it were possible I would attach the reply email here as proof). These new villa's are a complex of 8 villa's and they have all been built one at a time and the last villa will be completed this month, so they are in fact new villa's.... The first villa having been opened (operating) from the end of December 2011. We purchase new bath towels on a regular basis for all of our villa's and they are washed and laundered every day by a professional laundering service. We are sorry that you were provided towels with stains on it, we will ensure towels are checked thoroughly by the staff before presenting them to guests. I am not sure what a mealy bug is but we have had no other complaint in regards to the outdoor bugs you mention being on the outdoor plant you are referring to. After receiving your email we had an inspection of all the villa's plants and no bugs of the sort you mention appeared on the plants....perhaps it may have been some type of a seasonal bug as we are in the tropics and if it does happen to appear again we will spray them away so to not be a pest. In regards to our housekeeping staff, so far we have had really great feedback in regards to our staffs attention and cleanliness and from what I see they have been doing a great job at cleaning and have been highly commended by our guests for their cleaning skills, having said this though we will ensure they pay extra attention to detail. We do have meetings with our staff on a regular basis to emphasise the requirements of our guests and the importance of high standards of cleanliness. We appreciate feedback from all of our guests so thank you to you both for bringing these minor faults to our attention, we have acted on this already since receiving your previous email. We strive on our image of being new, fresh and modern and will endeavour to keep these new villa's well maintained to ensure the image is just that. -

Great location
Left on 09/01/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Have just returned from 3 weeks in Bali and a week here in these villas - many plus points to mention, very clean villa, lovely housekeeping staff (although we stuggled to find them when we arrived) great location in the town near restaurants and bars. But 1 thing that surprised me was the use of Griya's pool to advertise the villa as you are not allowed to use the facilities at the Griya unless you pay Idr150,000 per person per day. And at the Vila Shanti the pool attendant wouldn't allow us to use the loungers by the pool even though we were allowed to swim in it, he informed us they were for hotel guests only which meant we had to sit on the floor around the pool to keep an eye on our children when they were swimming, not very relaxing! I would recommend the villa to a bigger group, possibly with older children, as i said they were very smart, comfortable and well located.
Response from Cindy & Joe - 09/29/2012
Owner
Just to make it clear we are private villa's and a private company, we do share the same security entrance driveway as the Griya Santrian Hotel and the Vila Shanti Hotel but the hotels are not ours and we do not advertise the Griya Santrian as being any part of our facilities. As you are not a guest at the Griya Santrian Hotel then like any other walk in outsider they charge a fee if you wish to use their facilities (I understand that the fee includes one meal a drink, a pool towel and use of all their facilites), this is understandable since you are not a paying guest at their hotel. If you prefer to use the Griya Santrian and their facilities I suggest you to stay in the Griya Hotel rather than a private villa. Each of our villa's has a private swimming pool and sunbeds by the pool to relax on, this is the beauty of having a private villa so you do not have to share swimming pools and sun beds with other guests like the next door hotels that you mentioned. We also have our own private sun beds on the beach for our guests to relax on. We now have a large sign at the entrance of these new villa's so it should be easier now for other drivers if you are not using our free airport transfer service. Thankyou

Left on 08/20/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Stayed for 9 nights in august. Lovely clean bright villa. Water pressure was shocking for the first week so the luxery bathroom was wasted as shower only dribbled so never bothered with the bath. but a tank and pump that was installed on day 6 seemed to fix the problem. A few minor problems, toaster took more than 10 minutes to toast which frustrated my husband. Did have to repeatedly ask the boys that clean to leave hand towels, flannels and towels each day. They were all there day 1 then disappeared. Took until day 8 for a tea towel to appear despite asking each day. Would suggest if any maintenance housekeeping problems to ring Cindy not the maintenance supervisor as we were instructed on check in as never seemed to get a result from him. Location is perfect and lots of great restaurants close by. Would recommend hiring push bikes to ride the beach path and to go to shops etc at other end of Sanur. The pictures on web site are exactly as villa appears. Worth a visit.

Left on 07/21/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Great new and modern villa, in an optimum location, very central to everything in Sanur. The villa is well furnished, with spacious rooms and good sized ensuites. The kitchen area is compact and has everything you need to cook and dine in. The pool was beautiful, exactly as pictured The beach is an easy 2 minute stroll away and the use of the Vila Shanti pool is a bonus. Lots of great dining places within walking distance or grab a taxi and venture out further. Traffic is not an issue in Sanur.
The great team of guys looking after you daily are very friendly, attentive and cannot assist you enough, with any of your needs. Tip - use their driver Nano for day trips, he is great or specify the "New Bali Sanur Beach Villas" if you arrange someone else to pick you up. There are villas of a similar name in Sanur and they get confused.
The owners Cindy & Joe are easy and great to deal with, the villa is exactly as advertised and an absolute pleasure to stay at. -

These are very modern, well appointed villas. It is in a great location and more importantly quiet, even though you are just down from the main road in Sanur. The beach is a couple minutes walk with easy access through Vila Shanti or Griya Santiran. 1 minute walk to the main street with plenty of restuarants. We had great breakfasts at the Porch Cafe
(on the main street just to the left of the driveway to the villas on the opposite side of the road. Fantastic dinners at the Mona Lisa(just to the right of the driveway, opposite side of the road). Woodfired pizzas from the village restaurant at the start of the driveway (they will deliver, but less than a minute walk to pick up). Lovely deep pool. Nice gazebo to sit in the shade during the day or to relax in during the evening with a night cap. Handy having free WiFi and flat screen tv's in all the rooms. Well stocked kitchen (if you want to cook, we didn't) and big fridge to store your drinks. The villa was cleaned everyday and the staff were happy, friendly and attentive. All requests were dealt with promtly. Check in was easy and the staff showed us around the villa and its amenities. Would stay again. -

Having stayed for 2 weeks in May, it was an absolute delight. I cannot fault the accommodation. The villa was well serviced and it felt like home. Nano the driver who picked us up from the airport became our driver the whole time we were there and offered a wonderful service. The location was perfect, it was partically good for our 4 teenagers, away from the craziness of Kuta allowed us to feel comfortable with them having time to explore on their own. We will be back and have recommended the accommodation to all our friends and family.

My husband, 2 year old son and parents stayed at the villas for 9 nights in March 2012. Just had to let everyone know what a wondeful "retreat" this is. Everything that was required for our stay was readily available and the villa's are in superb condition and a great location. The individual pavillions within the villa was the perfect layout for group accomodation, allowing you the best of both worlds- privacy when you needed it and room to gather at other times. A short walk to the beach, markets and quality restaurants all within a secured complex.
Must make special note of the friendly and efficient staff servicing the villa daily. They were wonderful. A special thanks to Cindy who went out of her way to accomodate all our needs for our 2 year old- including a quality cot and car seat.
As long term travellers to Bali and staying at a variety of places we would have no hesitation in highly recommending the Bali Sanur Beach Villas. Thank you Cindy and Joe for a fantastic holiday and look forward to staying there again soon. -

We stayed here for 8 days over Xmas 2011.We had the privilege of being the very first occupants of this amazing Villa.Whilst not having a view of the ocean it is only a short stroll through the grounds of the resorts to the water's edge & there's beach front Restaurants & Bars in every direction. In the other direction is the main road of Sanur which is about a one minute walk, this road is full of trendy Restaurants , Bars & shops. The locals that maintain the Villa do an excellent job.The Villa consist of three separate buildings, the main bedroom is massive with its huge walk in robe, king sized bed & bathroom consisting of a massive shower about two meters long & all toughened glass panelling & a separate bath tub, the other two rooms are in the middle & both have their own bathrooms & toilets, one room has a king double bed & the other room has two single beds. All bedrooms have their own LCD Tv's & DVD players for playing them famous & very available Bali Dvd's.The kitchen is completely self-contained & has everything you could possibly need for your stay, we were actually very surprised at how well stocked it was.The fridge is plenty large enough. The lounge/dining room is sufficient & comfortable. The whole villa is nicely decorated with artwork & nice furniture. You also have free Wifi for your iPhone or laptop. The outdoor area is compact but nicely designed around the pool, there's two pool lounges & each room has its own table & chairs plus a day bed at the end of the pool.Being the first occupants we thought there may be a couple of problems to iron out, but they obviously know what they are doing because everything was great. Thanks for a great stay.
