This apartment in Ipanema was great, and Claudio the manager was really helpful. He looked after us very well, meeting us at nearly midnight when we arrived in Rio, and was available whenever we phoned him for information on tours, lost property, etc. The apartment is very close (within a few minutes walk) of a good supermarket (Zona Sul); cash machines; metro station; General Osorio square, with its Hippy Market; and of course Ipanema beach. There was a doorman / janitor at the entrance / lobby at all times.
