The villa is nestled in the hills, just two miles east of Sao Bras de Alportel, and enjoys magnificent hillside and distant sea views. This villa is truely astounding. Don't really want to write this review in case it becomes fully booked for next year. Owners are special people who genuinely care that your holiday stay is five star. Have visited on two occasions now and if Barry and Tina can put up with our Scottish banter will continue to return for years to come

We have been to Portugal on numerous occassions generally staying in the almancil/Quinta do Lago area due to us taking the kids. This time we were a group of 4 adults so did not need the added attraction of beaches/nightlife etc.
I booked the villa in May and spoke on many occassions to Tina & Barry who were very helpful with the booking. When we had paid they sent us the necessary directions to the airport which were spot on.
We were very pleased with the villa when we arrived the location was exactly as I imagined with great views across the valley plus an excellent swimming pool
The villa had everything you could wish for with a fantastic array of utentsils/plates etc. The bedrooms were magnificent and we slept better on this holiday then any other we had been on.
We took a lap top/memory stick with films to watch but couldn't get the TV system to work, not to be disappointed Barry returned with a small LCD machine and hey presto we were able to watch films in superb surrond sound on the B/O TV in the lounge.
Tina & Barry were fantastic the whole holiday if we needed anything they were on hand to help, they even bought us birthday/anniverary cards plus a bottle of wine to celebrate .
We had a fantastic time and will definetely return next year althiough that seems an awful long time to wait.

First at all I want to thank Berry and Tyna for the hospitality which make us fell like home away for home. I can't describe every pleasant moment that I spent there but the villa is like a oasis of peace and calm when you need that (with all the hills all around and the ocean on the horizon) but also a good base for visit all the algarve region. About the villa, has everything you need for hollyday : a wanderfull pool well mainten , sunbeds, beautiful views and it is a beautiful place where you cud enjoy a glass of wine with friends in the evening. I can only say that I hope to have time to come back next year. Thank again for pleasant time spent there .

We stayed at Quinta Fonte do Cascalho as a group of friends and found the villa to be very well equipped for our needs and the owners to be very friendly and welcoming.
During our stay we made extensive use of the pool, which was well maintained, and the patio barbeque! The interior of the villa feels very homely, the kitchen caters for the most demanding of chef, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. The views from the villa are stunning, but it is worth mentioning you will need a car to explore the area fully and get to the beach/centre of town.

Many thanks for a great holiday spent in luxurious surroundings. Can't fault the lovely villa and its furnishings. Slept like a log in the very comfortable bed, enjoyed swimming in the well kept pool, lounged around on the terrace and looked at the peaceful views of the surrounding hills. Hosts were very welcoming and did all they could to make the holiday the best it could be. Will definitely be going back.
