Perched in the woods along the ridge, Eagle’s Nest has a unique entrance down three steps and across a walkway. This cabin offers considerable privacy and is 'dog-friendly.' It has two bedrooms (queen and queen with XL bunk beds). If the time is right, you will catch a beautiful sunset through the wooded scenery.

The Woods at Buc is one of those hidden gems when it comes to luxury, cleanliness, quiet, peace, and I could go on and on. My wife and I travel extensively during the year, sometimes with our children and friends and sometimes just the two of us. The Woods at Buc offers you a fantastic getaway destination regardless of your company. They offer something for everyone here. We had been attempting to plan a trip to enjoy the fall colors somewhere close to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our mistake or I should say blessing was that we waited until the last minute to find a good place to stay. We searched from Gatlinburg to the lower portions of North Carolina. We found many "places to stay" however most did not appear descent and the ones that did were to over priced for our budget. My wife fortunately came across The Woods at Buc. Initially after looking over the picturesque scenery and the cabins we though we were going to have to spend a small fortune to stay here. A late night call, 10:45PM (EST), received a warm "Hello", not an answering machine or automated system. I cannot say enough good things about the Woods at Buc, if you have stayed before you understand my enthusiasm and if you have not , you must stay here! I promise you will receive the same warm atmosphere, enjoy some of the amazing forest and woods, enjoy a extremely clean cabin to sleep and relax in. If they had a franchise I would buy one because hospitality and down home good care of visitors has been long forgotten by most, but not the well equipped, friendly, outgoing staff at The Woods at Buc. They not only understand hospitality, they practice it on a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week basis.

I was there as my daughter was married at Buc. The cabin was great, my wife & I plan to return real soon. Service was great. The decks are a super plus, spent my spare time there.

We have spent many weekends at The Woods at Buc with family and friends. It is always relaxing, peaceful, and memorable. We have been there in the summer, spring, winter and fall. There is truly no bad time to visit the Woods at Buc. Barbara and Tim go out of their way to make you comfortable. There is so much to do while you are there - hiking, swimming, canoeing, bon fires, and exploring. Of course, just sitting on the porch of your cabin and enjoying the amazing scenery is pretty wonderful too! The cabins are clean and the kitchens are well stocked. It is one of our family's favorite places and we look forward to visiting each year.
