This year was our second stay in Room 214GV and we will be back for two weeks next years and bringing family from OK to rent another unit. The facilities are wonderful, the fellow renters/owners are friendly and we are counting the days until our next stay!!

This condo is very well taken care of and all amentities were available. The kitchen had everything we needed and the location was great. We found a local Fish market called Big Water Fish Market (6691 Midnight Pass Road..across the street) and purchased fresh fish daily and used the incredibly clean Gas grill. The view was not as great as expected due to the view of the roof and foilage, but the sunset are spectacular. The air-conditioning and ceiling fan in the master bedroom was not enough to keep that room at a comfortable tempature. the facility was impecible and we recommend this property.

This is the second time we have stayed at House of the Sun. Last year we were Gulf Front, but this year we stayed one row back and had an equally great time. The House of the Sun is extremely clean and well maintained. It is nice to have the ocean front pool and a small game room for the kids. It's location on Cresent Beach is second to none as you can walk to the Point of Rocks, walk to dinner, walk to grocery stores, walk to a pharmacy, walk to the marina, basically you can park your car and not have to worry about driving for a week. The front staff are enjoyable during check-in and are there for you the entire week. We enjoy staying here so much that we usually book for the following year before we leave! My only complaint about our room was that the king size bed needs replacing.

The unit was very nice, however I have also stayed in units where the bathrooms are updated, which I really like. The kitchen did not have enough utensils, particularly knives. Of the 3 "sharp" knives there, none were sharp enough to cut even thru the skin of a piece of fruit. The master king bed was too soft for me.

Clean Ocean View condo located on the greatest beach in Florida. Siesta Key Beach. Couteous staff. Our condo could use some upgrades but we do not spend much time in the condo.

Mystic, CTA great week in the sun.

My only complaint is the charcol grills, the smoke from which caused us to keep the balcony doors closed at suppertime.

My Sister and I had a most wonderful time again, our third stay at H of S. The units are lovely, all the area surrounding the building are so well looked after. Also, as two women travelling alone, we appreciate the security of H of S. The beach is just the best. We are looking forward to another vacation at H of S. Also, it's so nice to just walk across the street to shops, grocery store, restaurants, drug store, etc. Although we had a car, it was so nice not to have to drive everywhere. The office staff are always helpful and very nice. Everyday opening the blinds, seeing the wonderful white sand and ocean, was just another day in paradise. If I had to remark on anything negative about our visit, it would be the number of noisy children using the pool daily with numerous float toys. But having said that, I wouldn't hesitate to make a reservation for next year. Hope to see you there!

We found the staff to be friendly and helpful, the condo very clean and comfortable and the view excellent! The unit was well appointed and very spacious. We spent three days on the powdery white sand beach and enjoyed every minute of it.

Enjoyed ourselves. Had a great room. Front office people were very nice and took care of us. The only thing I do not like is that you only get a one extra roll of toilet paper. This just means the guest has to go out and buy it at a store. Why not charge an extra dollar or two so there is enough for your whole stay. We love the House of the Sun and are there twice most years. We have rented a unit for over 25 years.

Fort Wayne, INVery enjoyable with a few condo issues.
Left on 04/22/2010 for a stay in March 2010
this was our first time in this unit and loved the location of it. The issues we had were, the carpet is in BAD shape. Needs replaced. Bathrooms are outdated, needs attention, especially the shower heads (need new ones). Closet doors are old, need a little work. Dryer didn't dry clothes very well. The view out the patio needs work. The plants around grill area are too tall, block this unit from seeing the sunset, to a guest, that is very important. At least to us it is.
We were handled very well in the office by Justin and Victoria. Very accomidating. The maintance team there is great, very pleasent to talk with. We like the security we feel there. Thanks for another great year. This was year 11 for us at House of the Sun. We must like it or we would not have come back all these years. Thanks for letting us review our stay. It is a nice feature to have.
Have a great and blessed day. -

Kingston, Rhode IslandVery enjoyable
Left on 11/13/2009 for a stay in November 2009
Overall, the unit was very satisfactory in comparison to others at which we have stayed. The living room and deck were very nice and easily accessable. However, the view of the beach was partially obscured by vegetation rising from the ground level. The kitchen space was adequate and well stocked with an automatic ice maker, washer and dryer, dish washer as well as utentials and cooking implements. The master bedroom was excellent as was its private bathroom facility. However, the rugs needed to be cleaned throughout the unit and access to the closet in the guest room was very limited by a twin bed that could not be moved out of the way. The unit was very well laid outy for a handicapped person as well as access to the floor via elevators. The pool, though small was well maintained and neighbors very friendly. Access to the beach was also very easy with clean and modern lounge chairs and a shelter area. The beach is the best in the world.
