Lima OhioDisappointed
Left on 04/18/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We were very disappointed when we arrived. We have 3 children, and had only a bed in the master bedroom and 1 full bed in the 2nd bedroom. No pull out couch either. We had 2 double up, and borrow an air mattress from family. Cheap glass table in living room which was very unstable. My 5 yr old accidentally knocked it over and it broke on him- unstable and cheap base. Location was great but place could definitely use some updates in the condo and the rec room. Website is misleading as to space in condo and bedrooms.

Dimondale, miGreat ocean front view!
Left on 04/10/2013 for a stay in April 2013
The House of Sun staff were great. The condo was average, it has a tired look with gaudy decor. The unit needs to be renovated...rusty vents, water damage all over unit, horrible base boards for trim, old stained carpet in bedrooms, old tired kitchen. The tile in main area was nice, granite tops in bathrooms and tile showers too. The absolute best feature is the oceanfront view on the deck! Killer sunset! It did do the job for a week on the awesome beach! The location is great with walking distance to groceries, restaurants and some shopping. Rented bikes to ride to village, and restaurants across the bridge. I liked the beach best and the condition of condo the least.

Morgantown, WVAbsolutely perfect!

My family of four which includes two children stayed in 316 during Thanksgiving break. We absolutely loved the room, the location and the beach! Everything about House of the Sun was wonderful. Everything was clean and organized. The only thing we really had to buy was food and laundry detergent. Everything else was supplied even toys for the beach and pool. We were right on the beach. The beach was magnificent and the view of the beach from the room/balcony was absolutely amazing!! There are also many good restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely return!!

#316gf was very clean with the best view of any of the condo's. Could use a little TLC on the stove top.Only 2 burners worked properly. Could use some new fry pans or a griddle would be great. We had a great time and would vacation there in the same 316GF in a heart beat.

Clermont, FloridaOh so good - even during a tropical storm named Debby.

The view was fabulous, the unit was well appointed and the memories will last a lifetime. We loved room #316, particularly the bathrooms which appeared to have been remodeled recently. Spacious and clean. Convenient location to everything and just a few miles from the village and on the route of the free taxi-bonus! Suggestion: Spray bottles w/vinegar should be included - we brought our own from home and it worked wonders cleaning off the sliding glass doors that were pelted w/sand, salt & rain during the storm.

The Villages, FLTotal greatness
Left on 07/13/2012 for a stay in July 2012
First time at this place and definitely exceeded any expectations. Was especially nice as the time was for our immediate family to spend this time together. Great locations, awesome view and closeness to the beach, professional and patience/kindness with Jeff, Justin, Melinda and all the staff. The accommodation itself just couldn't have been any nicer.
One suggestion, being to mark the raised step at the doorway of each level to go up/down the stairway. Would be very easy not to see and slip/fall.
Also, had trouble with the door keys even after drying/wiping them off after being at the beach. The "fobs" for the elevator were great...any chance something similar to that could be substituted for the door keys would be wonderful.

Left on 12/27/2011 for a stay in November 2011
The recliner in the living room is difficult to use.
I feel that the coffee pot should be one that turns off automatically after 2 hours. Otherwise everything was great and we'll be back in april. -

Beautiful apartment, stunning view from the balcony. Kitchen well appointed, excellent range of utensils and dry goods.
A CD Player would be a useful addition.
Very helpful maintenance staff.
Hopefully no evidence of cockroaches next time we visit.

We have been staying in this same unit for the last 9 years. Although we love the view and location, the unit really needs updating, expecially the kitchen.

A very well furnished and comfortable appartment that made our stay a wonderful experience. We have rented many units over the years, this was the best ever. We will most certainly want to book this unit in the future.

Left on 08/27/2010 for a stay in August 2010
It is a very nice place. We did meet the owner of our unit, and she was really good to us. The problem we had the first week was due to noise. People used the grill area as their party place until after the time posted. We would not return unless you had security to make sure everyone follows the rules posted on your web site. Your web site said there would not be floats, toys, etc. in the pool, but yet you supply floats and toys. I'm sure, you wanted them to be used on the beach, but that was not the case. We are elderly and should have picked a time of year when children are in school. If we had visited when our children were young, we probably wouldn't have even noticed these things.

I stayed here with my husband, 1 year old son, and mother. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to return. The location of the unit was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better view. It felt like a home away from home.

Austin, TXGood times with the family at the beach.
Left on 07/29/2010 for a stay in June 2010
Check-in and out are always very smooth and easy. We love the condo. This is our fourth time at House of the Sun and we have already booked next year's vacation there. Our condo is always clean and is extremely comfortable. I love that we are right on the beach and our view is spectacular. Conveniently, right across the street is a mini-mart (with great prices), a bike rental shop and a wonderful ice-cream shop. Other stores are extremely close. The best thing is being together at the beach watching the beautiful sunsets. The worst thing is when (not often) loud guests are above us or running down the halls. However, I love this location and am already looking forward to next year!

We have stayed at House of the Sun for three years during our kids high school spring breaks. We stayed gulf front on the third floor for two years in 315 and this year in 316 . The two bedrooms that we rented are roomy, tastefully decorated and have a great view. The grounds and interiors are well maintained. The location is very convenient, across the street from restaurants, grocery, and close to the bridge for longer errands. No sitting in traffic. I would recommend House of the Sun to any family searching for a vacation rental.

Great place for kids and adults. Beautiful beach and lots to do if you want to do more than just relax.Accomodations were very neat and adequately stocked. I don't remember any beach towels to use and those of us traveling don't want to lug along extra weight. {especially since we are now charged extra for baggage!} This unit was so sweet! Walk right out the door and you are on the beach. Also the patio was wonderful. Beautiful sunsets! There was nothing i didn't like except we didn't stay long enough!!!!

We actually stay in that unit for 2 months. The staff at House of the Sun is exceptional. We enjoy everyone. We love the location of the unit and continue to rent that unit because of location. The kitchen was updated quite a few years ago and we really appreciate that.We love the views from 216. We have stayed in other units that have updated the bathrooms. . The couches could be replaced as they are dirty (gross).
