Cottage Profile Custom designed 1500 square foot waterfront cottage located on sand beach in Red Bay, on the shores of Lake Huron. The cathedral ceilings, natural pine floors and numerous windows throughout the cottage give it a very bright, warm and very open feel. With sliding glass doors in both the living room and craft room, you have a great view of the outdoors. In the large living room you will find a huge stone fireplace which is the focal point of the room. We had a great stay at this cottage! Very well layed out and cozy! Lots of room for kids and our grandsons loved the tree house and just playing on the sand. The owners were great and made sure everything was as it should be!! Highly commendable! The view of Lake Huron and those sunsets make this an ideal place for relaxation. We really liked the privacy and the four muskoka chairs overlooking the lake were well used!! Can't wait to make our reservation for next year!!

My stay was with 3 kids(12, 9, 5 year old)
and their grandmother.
This is very safe and private area.
My kids like to play in water, with frogs and swing.
Rooms are not quite clean, so I had to clean again.
Lots of spiders(outside), some earbugs(inside), ants(inside) made kids be afraid at night.
Close to Lionhead, Tobermorry, Cyplus lake, I enjoyed it.Response from RentCottage.com - 07/28/2012

Shawn, we are pleased you had a good stay at the cottage overall. With respect to the cleaning, our normal, extremely meticulous, person who checks the cottage between rentals had a wedding to attend that weekend. Clearly the substitute person we managed to hire was not up to standard. We thank you for letting us know. And apologize for the inconvenience to you. This cottage exceeded our expectations. The cottage itself was clean, stocked with everything we needed, and even had suggestions on what to do in the area. The shore is very ,very shallow and sandy, perfect for our young children. We had 4 young children with us and everyone had a wonderful time.

We had very good experience staying in the cottage. It is very kids friendly and our twins had their first cottage experience. If we have chance we will book the cottage again next summer.

Great Cottage. We loved it!
Perfect for children. My two kids (2yrs and 5yrs) loved it (and so did we). The water is shallow and the bottom of the lake is sandy. They also liked that we could walk to the park and to the ice cream store.
Queit area, beautiful cottage, great sunsets. What more could you want?
