Cottage Profile This lovely one storey, four bedroom cottage is located on Lake Huron at Red Bay. Just a 15 minute drive to Sauble Beach, where you will find seven miles of beautiful sand beach. The cottage interior is modern and bright. It has comfortable furnishings including two couches and two chairs. The focal point of the living area is the natural stone fireplace with a propane insert. There is also a television with satellite reception, and a VCR. Adjacent to the living area is the eat in kitchen. It comes equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, and oven. There is lots of cupboard and counter space. A dining table is also located he...re, it seats six, and is situated directly in front of a large window with a view of Red Bay. The cottage has four bedrooms. You will find a King bed in the master, a Queen in the second bedroom, and the third and forth bedrooms each have a single bed. There is also a four piece washroom with bathtub and shower. There is also a garage on the property that has a two piece washroom, full laundry facilities and storage space. The cottage itself sits on a small knoll that overlooks the beach area. There is a large grassy yard on the lakeside and roadside of the cottage, which makes the perfect place for children to play outdoor activities and run around. This beach area has a sandy, silty bottom and has a shallow entry into the water and is safe for young children. There is a 60 foot long concrete pier located at the waters edge, you can dock a small boat on the end of it, as the bay is protected by all of it's islands. NOTE: There is sometimes a floating dock (see pictures above) anchored just off the cottage dock. It is used solely to dock a small boat. As there are large rocks on the bottom of the lake it is not suitable for anything but docking a boat. The large rocks on the waters bottom and also jutting out from the shore to the dock make it difficult to access. Any use of the floating dock is at the renters own risk. The cottage is centrally located to many attractions. It's only a fifteen minute drive to Sauble Beach and Wiarton. There are 4 golf courses within 30 km, there is great hiking on the Bruce Trail 10 km away and the Bruce Peninsula National Park is a 40 minute drive. There are plenty of paved back country roads to explore in the area for cyclists. Or if you are into mountain biking there are great trails at Sauble Beach. Please Note: There is a boat that is stored in one half of the garage. On some weekends, you may see someone coming and going with the boat. To this end, could we ask you to please keep the tall garage door clear for access on weekends. There is still ample room to park at the top of the driveway.
Additional amenities include: number of baths: one four piece in main cottage, VCR & DVD, high speed lite internet, one queen, large flat screen television, beds: one king, drinking water source: well, one two piece in garage ( toilet, number of bedrooms: 4, satellite television ( 50 channels ), outdoor fire pit, 2 loungers ), one storey cottage, clothes line, sink), 6 chairs, pull out double couch in the living room., two singles, living area: square feet.

The cottage was lovely and the waterfront with the beach protected by the dock was a nice spot for the kids to play. The lovely spreading lawns with the local wildlife was great fun for games and hunting frogs. We also enjoyed stargazing and marshmallows at the fire pit. The view was spectacular from the cottage and the glowing sunsets joined us for our dinners and Scrabble in the early evening.
All the comforts of home

Rentcottage.com made it easy to make arrangements. When we had a problem the contact was quick to resolve it. The cottage was very comfortable and with a nice view of the bay. Everything I needed for the kitchen was available.
Loved the beach

Let me start off by saying the back yard area was wonderful. We had 4 children under the age of 5 and considered it safe for them to play. The water was quite shallow and perfect for them to play in. The front yard was equally as great for them to play because they had a lot of room to run.
The downside was the actual cottage. Although it sleeps 8, there wasn't much room for everyone to sit. The kitchen table only had 6 chairs. There were cobwebs everywhere and a lot of the owners personal items everywhere. So much that we felt as though we were intruding. As I mentioned, we had 4 children under the age of 5. With that said, there was a very reachable drawer that had nothing but loose screws in it. Not too safe. The bathroom is nicely updated and quite large, which was nice. But we did have to really squeeze into the kitchen to eat dinner together. If half of us weren't children, we would've been very uncomfortable.
Overall, we did have a great week. Sauble is wonderful.
