Cottage Profile This lovely one storey, four bedroom cottage is located on Lake Huron at Red Bay. Just a 15 minute drive to Sauble Beach, where you will find seven miles of beautiful sand beach. The cottage interior is modern and bright. It has comfortable furnishings including two couches and two chairs. The focal point of the living area is the natural stone fireplace with a propane insert. There is also a television with satellite reception, and a VCR.       The cottage was lovely and the waterfront with the beach protected by the dock was a nice spot for the kids to play. The lovely spreading lawns with the local wildlife was great fun for games and hunting frogs. We also enjoyed stargazing and marshmallows at the fire pit. The view was spectacular from the cottage and the glowing sunsets joined us for our dinners and Scrabble in the early evening.

      Rentcottage.com made it easy to make arrangements. When we had a problem the contact was quick to resolve it. The cottage was very comfortable and with a nice view of the bay. Everything I needed for the kitchen was available.

      Loved the beach

      Let me start off by saying the back yard area was wonderful. We had 4 children under the age of 5 and considered it safe for them to play. The water was quite shallow and perfect for them to play in. The front yard was equally as great for them to play because they had a lot of room to run.

      The downside was the actual cottage. Although it sleeps 8, there wasn't much room for everyone to sit. The kitchen table only had 6 chairs. There were cobwebs everywhere and a lot of the owners personal items everywhere. So much that we felt as though we were intruding. As I mentioned, we had 4 children under the age of 5. With that said, there was a very reachable drawer that had nothing but loose screws in it. Not too safe. The bathroom is nicely updated and quite large, which was nice. But we did have to really squeeze into the kitchen to eat dinner together. If half of us weren't children, we would've been very uncomfortable.

      Overall, we did have a great week. Sauble is wonderful.
