LondonGood times with our family
Left on 12/13/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We enjoyed our stay. Overall the place was clean and it has a very large lot for the kids to play in. It takes about 7-8 mins to walk to the beach. It has lots beds to accommodate a large family and has everything you could possibly need. Pricing was a little a high, but I would recommend it again.

Huge cottage, lots of room! The owners were very accommodating. Bit of a hike to the beach but still nice. The only down side...extremely hot in the cottage...zero to no air flow making it hot at night.
Great layout and again great owners. -

This was our 5th year renting cottages at Sauble and this one was by far the best. With 4 kids we had lots of space, sunshine pouring in the windows all day and the cottage was very clean! It sits on a nice big lot with lots of room for the badminton net and campfires. The only down side for us was that it was about an 8 minute walk to the beach and with little ones that wasn't the greatest. That was the only negative though!

Hamilton, OntarioGreat Cottage for Peaceful (and sometimes hectic) Family Vacatio
Left on 09/11/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We had 4 adults and 2 small toddlers in our. I started searching online for places to stay in Sauble Beach and I have to admit I was nervous in doing so. I was pleased to see that the cottage description was very accurate. Really nice looking place, very clean. Great deck out front. Tons of bugs at night, but that's "up north" for ya!
The only downside I can think of is that the cottage had no air conditioning and we paid the price on the first night. Temperatures were in the 30's overnight. No breeze coming through the trees. Cottage has lots of fans, but my god it was hot. Thankfully it cooled off by the end of the week and we were able to sleep comfortably again. Tough to get a breeze inside the cottage.
The inside is kid-friendly. We felt comfortable letting our terrible two's roam around. The kitchen, living room, and dining area is all open concept and although there was a seperate living space downstairs, we spent most of the week up in the main common area. In total there are four bedrooms, and the cottage could sleep eight comfortably.
Outside they have a great play structure for kids, and swing set. There was also a fire pit but unfortunately there was a fire ban in effect. The best part of this cottage was I wasn't sure how far away it was from the beach. It is way closer than google maps shows. Literally a 5 min walk, you can see the water down the street. Strongly recommend this cottage, just wish it had a/C! Nice trick is to close all the curtains but leave the windows open while you are at the beach...will keep it cooler. Would definitely consider returning to this cottage next year. -

Excellent amenities. Very spacious and clean. Nice walk to the beach. Fully equipped kitchen. However, not too pleased with the lawn furniture in the yard. The cushions were dirty and we really could not use it. Some cushions were crawling with insects. Also, somewhat inconvenient to go to another location to dispose of garbage. Overall, however a great week.

Cleveland, OHWe loved Sauble Beach and this cottage was perfect!
Left on 08/26/2010 for a stay in July 2010
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this Sauble Beach Cottage. It was as described and we had a fabulous week. We loved the WiFi, the Tv's, the downstairs, the porch, the circular drive, the yard, the quiet neighbourhood, the beach, the sunsets and the perfect weather that we had. The cottage is well equipped which we appreciated.
I would suggest more mirrors, there are none downstairs. One bathroom is a challenge but we managed.
The only thing that was a big negative to us was the garbage situation. It would be nice to have better arrangements. We came up from the us and found the garbage situation a very unpleasant experience. Please try to improve this in the future.
I also wondered why we couldn't get into the cottage until 4:30 pm when we had to be out by 10:00 am and clean the cottage thoroughly before we left. We have traveled to many areas in the us and rented. We have always been able to get in before that time. Usually by 3:00 pm
Most of our suggestions have nothing to do with the cottage itself, but hopefully will be taken into consideration for a more enjoyable stay.
Sauble Beach was the best and this cottage was wonderful. We would definitely rent it again. -

I was pleasantly surprised when we walked into the cottage to see how clean things were. The finished basement was nice as well. A very well kept, open concept cottage. My kids loved the swings and slide in the yard as well. I would recommend this cottage. The distance to the beach was a concern as I have small children, but it was managable. (we took our van and parked it)

Nice spacious cottage ( a home really) near the beach. Close enough to walk to the beach but far enough away to be quiet. Large private lot.

Although we had reviewed the pictures of this cottage on-line prior to booking, we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The large property and corner lot provided good privacy. It had a great deck facing south with a large round patio set for just lounging around and for catching a few rays. The fire pit at the back was great for evening gatherings where we relaxed, stayed warm and told stories. The inside was very clean, bright and well equipped with all of the ammenities of home. The location was within close proximity (a short drive) to the shops in town as well as the beach (a short walk). There were 4 adults and 4 children in our party and we were very comfortable at this cottage. We would definately rent it again!
