Cottage Profile Ideally located, three bedroom, 900 square foot cottage located right across the road from Sauble Beach on Lake Huron Sauble Beach is the worlds longest freshwater beach and is located just steps away from the cottage. Take in the view of the water from the patio in front of the cottage where you have front row seats to amazing sunsets over the water. The main living area features a leather couch and love seat, a picture window that faces the beach, and a natural gas fire place. There is a television with DVD player and VCR for entertainment on a rainy day. Adjacent to the living area is the eat in kitchen. A table with six ch...airs to seat everyone in your party. The kitchen has all the necessary amenities like fridge, stove, and microwave, kettle, teapot, coffee maker, blender and cooking equipment. There is plenty of counter and cupboard space for your convenience. There are three bedrooms at the cottage. Bedroom one has a queen, bedroom two has a queen and a single with a pull out single trundle bed, and bedroom three has single bunk beds. In this third bedroom there is also a washer and dryer. The one bathroom at the cottage is a four piece with both shower and bathtub. Enjoy the view of the beach and dunes, as well as the spectacular sunsets of Sauble Beach from the Muskoka chairs located in front of the cottage on the cement patio. The backyard of the cottage has a stone patio with glass table, chairs, umbrella and bbq for your summer feasts. A fence around the back yard helps to create a sense of privacy. Canoes, kayaks and boat rentals are available on the beach and all kinds of stores and restaurants are just a short walk away. The lovely village of Southampton is close by and here you can take in the Bruce County Museum, art galleries, shops and restaurants on offer. Internet Access is available just a short walk from the cottage at a cafe called "The Two Chicks Cafe" and others. The local library also has internet. There is so much to do in the area from the Bruce Trail, to a Provincial Park, to any one of four golf courses. And if this doesn't keep you busy, Sauble Beach just steps from the cottage certainly will!

  We enjoyed the cottage and the location. Nice view. Comfortable furnishings and good layout. Weather was good. Outside needs sprucing up, gardens etc.

  This cottage by the beach is the epitome of cozy. A fireplace, comfy chairs and couch, lots of space in the backyard and the beach right in the front window, across the road, who could ask for anything more? Every day of the week, breakfast, lunch and dinner was just a stroll away at the cottage, from the beach to the bar-be-que, from the Muskoka chairs in front to the leather recliner by the fire... what a loverly two weeks.
  
  Even the weather was co-operative, with sun, sand and Lake Huron sunsets. Swimming and snorkeling was delightful, especially with laundry facilities for dirty clothes and a laundry line to hang up wet swimsuits.
  
  Neighbours were repairing their roof next door, so a 7am hammering wake up call was a bit inconvenient for a couple of days. And behind the property, other neighbours were completing an addition to their home, with more buzz-saw activity and early morning noise. Sleeping in was not an option. Neither was early to bed some nights with some partying next door on the other - other side. C'est la vie.
