We had an amazing time at aruba Beach Chalets during the Christmas time.
Best things:
- Very large, spacious 2-floor condo
- Just steps from the water / private beach
- Quiet (very quiet!), peaceful atmosphere
- Friendly, extremely thoughtful owners and on-site manager
- Romantic moonlight nights
- Minutes from the airport and amenities (groceries, restaurants, etc.)
When we arrived, we were extremely impressed with the size of the unit and proximity to the water. It is one of those rare condos with the ocean view just feet away! You can't beat this, really!!
The owners left us Holiday goodies including tasty wine, snowman toy (for our baby!), and a nice letter with great descriptions of everything we could do. They were very responsive to all our questions before / during / after the stay. We are very happy with the management overall.
What we recommend:
- Visit the Baby Beach (just minutes away, beautiful calm waters)
- Visit ancient "rock park"
- Visit Orangestad Port open-air market shopping
- Visit the California Lighthouse
- Grill on the deck
- Rent-a-car (to enjoy the stay, reserve your car in advance)

It was a lovely condo. We loved the private beach with the beautiful views of the ocean and sunsets. We liked being able to walk right onto the beach. It was nicely decorated and clean. We were able to use the outdoor grill on the days we didn't go to the fine restaurants. We rented a car to see the island and it's many attractions. We are planning to stay at this chalet next year on our vacation.

Sellersville PAAn unspoiled private escape that is only 20 minutes from town.

This was the best of both worlds. We were only 20 minutes from town, but had a secluded beach, reef, and lagoon. Only personal preferences were lacking, eg an extra pillow here or soap there. The decor was a little off-putting at first, but it grew on us. Road signs are not the best, so directions at the house eg to groceries or pizza shops would have helped. We did not meet the management team, but they had things set up to make us feel welcome. There are not concierge services, but if you are up to taking care of yourself, it cannot be beat.

We had a good vacation but we got some issue on the overall quality of the furniture inside. Right on our arrival, they ask us for a 300 us$ security deposit (cash) wich they didn't told me when we made the reservation. In appartment 3, we got a leaking fridge, and a broken micro wave. The master bed is stack on little pieces of wood, so we fall to the floor twice in 2 weeks. We also had problems with the sliding door... it never worked on first try in either one of our condo (specialy #3). We broke the handle after fightong with the door for 2 weeks. I'm sure it was already broken and they were waiting for someone to realy break it to charge the repair. So they kept the security deposit (600us$ total) for the damage to the door. No news about the cost of repair. So anyone taking a condo, be carefull with #3... just be carefull!!!
Its sad to say, but other than that it was really nice and quiet. For those who dosent need a Varadero style beach. There's also a reef not far from shore. -

My fiance and I spent Christmas week at the condo and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The rooms are large, the views are spectacular and you close to several great beaches.
We rented a car and drove all over the island, but each night we rested comfortably away from the noise and traffic of the tourist zones.
The master bedroom bed was very comfortable. The pillows were as well.
A couple of notes for future renters (we did leave the same list for the property managers).
1. Linens - plenty of bath towels, but no wash cloths and not enough beach towels
2. Hot water - the systems they use in the two showers are great for conserving energy, but they do not get the water anywhere near hot. There is no hot water for washing dishes or for washing your hands in the bathroom.
3. Screen Doors - It would be lovely if there were screens on the sliding doors
