We booked this home in april, and kept checking here, so I somewhat concerned when I read the last review. I actually called the owners, thinking I might cancel, but they put me at ease. I`m glad we didn`t, the home is just as described and even nicer in real than in some of the pictures. The neighborhood is totally fine, we walked to the Kroger's, which is conveniently only 3 blocks away and even took the suggested walk from the book in the home one day. It was really nice and it took us about 45 minutes to get to River-street that way, thru Forsyth Park and along bull street. We stopped in at the Book Lady bookstore which is quite a sight and took many pictures on the way. We also rode our bikes, which we brought along and left in the fenced yard, which took about 7 min. down Lincoln Street. There we`re 2 private off street parking spaces too which was great.

This is absolutely the worst company and I have contract to prove our stay. We have never an experience like this one. We had originally called to make a reservation on another property that was advertised & were baited & switched to a duplex in a very depressed area. We booked the property the evening before we were to arrive in Savannah based on the sales representatives direction. We had visited Savannah in the past & we were very clear on the areas we liked & the areas we didn't like & he said told us that this was in the area we liked. Therefore we booked it the evening before the day we were to arrive in Savannah. They drastically mis-represented their property. We have a two year old & this was a very unsafe area. The national news had a kidnapping / manhunt that occurred very close to the home the same day we were supposed to be checking in. When I called & complained the booking rep said he was sorry for booking us in the property & switching us to this other property, but he said, "I was just doing what my boss told me to do”. Therefore, I called his boss the owner & the owner told me he didn't care & he would not refund our money. I have contract to prove our stay.

Anyone reading this comment will realize that there is more to this story.
I am not going to waste everyone time here by rebutting each and every lie and accusation. Mrs Roda is attempting to negatively affect our good name because she is upset after making an error of judgement. As such, it is obvious that her outrageous comments are not from the real world. They are clearly completely out of line with other comments posted here, simply in an attempt to discredit us.Not sure how she could rate the house, since she never even went inside.
In brief, Mrs Roda booked our property, then cancelled at the last minute, she found a cheap motel !!! on the southside ,
thinking that she could get a refund through her credit card. However, we do not issue refunds for "no-shows" when the property cannot be rebooked at such short notice. She is upset because even her own credit card company judged against her.
We are a professional operation and never mislead guests.
We have been listed with Flipkey and Tripadvisor for many years. They do not
tolerate misleading statements. As a result, our properties are always described exactly as they are, and exactly where they are. Prior to making a booking, potential guests have every opportunity to independently verify any details. -

Our party of three spent several comfortable nights in this historic home. The photos are true to the rental experience. Fanatastic kitchen, large dining area, large bedrooms, beautiful bathrooms,great towels/toiletries. It is situated on the outskirts of the city (very quiet) but within walking distance of great food, wonderful parks & historic architecture. Manderly is an awesome 5-star masseuse. I recommend this experience!

We stayed for 3 nights. The house is decorated very lovely. We were 4 adults and it was very roomy.
Stairs were steep and carry luggage up the stairs can be challenging.
Kitchen is very well decorated and all the appliances yup need.

arrived late on thursday and just crashed.when we got up the next we were pleasantly surprised how nice the home was. the kitchen is spectacular, all granite, wine cooler and fully stocked. we didn`t know there would be sheets and towels, even soap, shampoo and coffee was there. just like a hotel, only larger and was nicer. there was even free private parking . home is very conveniently located, krogers only 3 blocks away and right at the start of the historic district. we never used our car once. hosts were very friendly, were there in less than 20 min when we couldn`t figure the TV out. highly recommended.

The rental provided more than what was expected (soaps, shampoos, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent,plenty of towels, etc.). We found it to be very inviting,clean and more than accomodated our needs. Walking distance to River Street area was about a half hour, but we like to excercise and did not mind at all. Very close to beautiful Forsyth Park and a grocery store just two blocks away.

What a stunning home! we spent Christmas here with our family and loved every minute. The kitchen was great, loved the granite counters. Bathroom with jacuzzi tub and shower with body sprays. This home was like a 5 star hotel, only cheaper. Hope we`ll be back some day.

Loved the home, especially the Jacuzzi tub was great after the race. We booked several month ago, because we figured it would be busy for the race and we know their Homes are the best, so we were worried about the Comment below. Glad it turned out no problems. There was no noise, except usual city background. We didn`t feel threatened either, were did those people live? definitely recommend the home, even has 2 private parking spots, so we managed a vacation without a ticket.

We stayed in this Home and loved every minute of it. We met the owners wife and she told us about all the work they did to restore it. They did a great job, the house is gorgeous. We loved the kitchen with the breakfast bar and the shower with the body sprays is a great idea too. The Home is in the historic downtown, on a quite side street, but we love it a bit quieter anyway. You can walk to everywhere and krogers is only 2 blocks away. Can`t wait to get back.

My wife was very concerned when she saw the old and derelict neighborhood. It didn't seem to her to be a safe place. Had we been by ourselves, my wife would have not let us stay there. Near the end of our stay, my brother told me that he too thought that the neighborhood was bad.
The house is very nice inside. We were on the upper floor. We had plenty of space to spread out in, with large rooms: two bedrooms, family room, dining room and a kitchen. The master suite has a very large bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub, large shower and two pedestal sinks. The washer and dryer were a bonus.
It's just a two block walk to Kroger's, so we were able to easily pick up breakfast items and barley pops. There was a coffee maker and toaster in the cupboards.
We found the beds comfortable, but we didn't sleep much, due to the noisy neighborhood: There is a one-way street that seems to encourage loud vehicles to drive fast at all hours. But the worst is the neighborhood itself--the people shouting in the street, skateboarders rolling through and the nightly parties with shouting and loud singing until 4 in the morning. I called the police at 1 am. They arrived quickly, but the party got loud as soon as the police left. I called again at 3 am, but apparently the police are powerless, because it stayed loud until it was over. Why the other neighbors put up with it is beyond me. My brother and his wife were in the second bedroom and able to sleep fine, but they didn't have the exposure to the front of the house.
We liked the property, but didn't get much sleep. Because the noise, we wouldn't stay here again and can't recommend it.Response from Manderly and Roman - 10/24/2011

We treat our guests comfort and satisfaction with the utmost regard, and I was pleased to read that you loved our beautiful house.
However, I must appolgise for any loud music that you experienced during your visit. It was unfortunate that your stay coincided with a large "Savannah College of Art and Design" event that was entirely beyond our control. Wherever you may have stayed, the whole town was buzzing with excitement, and there was little anyone could have done about it.
I can assure you that late night parties in our neighborhood are not the norm as you seem to imply, and local residents would certainly not tolerate such behaviour on a regular basis. Who would?
As you can see by the comments left below, no one else had this issue.
Our house is located on one of the loveliest tree lined, cobble-stoned streets in the area, and the annually released city crime statistics confirm that its safety is not in question. I'm sorry that you felt to the contrary. Was it your first visit to our beautiful town? -

What a beautiful Home !!! we actually had a hotel booked already when i came across their website. So glad we changed. We have two kids and this was a true family vacation. The Home is gorgeous, granite counters , jacuzzi tub, jetted showers. We didn`t know there were even gonna be towels, cofee and the like, so that was a nice surprise. On the first day we couldn`t get the internet to work, so we called Manderly. 20 minutes later her husband was there and got it working on our laptop. we entered the wrong code, oink, he was very nice about it though. The location wasn`t on a quiet side street, but only 3 blocks from Krogers and 4 blocks from the park, so it was ok, especially considering there were 2 private parking spots, so we didn`t have to worry about the meter maid..
we only gonna stay in private Homes now when we go on a family vacation. -
