Orlando, FLEasily surpassed very high expectations!
Left on 05/11/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We were very excited to stay in the Middle Loft in March. It is exactly the kind of "off the beaten path," creative, unique experience that we love. However, this stay surpassed every one of our expectations on every level! Perfect location, all the comforts of home, Kevin and John were amazing and responsive and saw to our every need. The loft itself was absolutely stunning! I would not hesitate to stay here again, or recommend it to anyone!

Great owners-very nice and helpful! The Loft is only a couple of blocks from Forsyth Park. It is a pretty long walk to River Street, but there is a public bus on the other side of the Forsyth Park that will take you down to where the action is. I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay while in Savannah!
I uploaded a few pictures I took of the loft. I loved all of the stained glass--it was beautiful! The pictures are nice, but seeing the loft with your own eyes is even more amazing!

Hiram, GAGorgeous, quiet, and affordable in Savannah!
Left on 04/30/2013 for a stay in March 2013
What an awesome find! Very cool to stay in while visiting for St. Patty's celebrations! Comfortable for 6 guests and a beautiful place. Open floor plan was nice for socializing, although we stayed out most of the time. Walked to River Street and City Market. After 2 days, we took pedicabs though, as we did a lot of walking. Close to Kroger, as well. Excellent communication by the owners for booking, payment, and the actual stay. They are wonderful. Overall, a terrific getaway and we had a fantastic time at Sanctuary Inn Middle Loft.

When my husband and I saw The Middle Loft at Sanctuary Inn, we knew this was the place we wanted to spend our February Retreat. Kevin and John were personable and helpful to any/all our needs. Although in an old, restored church, the loft is modern with many amemnties like home. It was wonderfully furnished with interesting pieces which added to the unique design of the space. Even though the weather was more rainy and cooler than usual for February, Savannah offered much for us to see and do. We hope to return someday!

This rental was everything we hoped it would be. The property was immaculate, beautiful and had everything a vacationer could need...dishes, books, Dvd's, washer, dryer, A/C plus fans, an abundance of towels...you name it. The restoration was amazing, even more beautiful than the photos show. We spent the first half hour just staring at the beauty of the place. We were in Savannah for our son's wedding at St. John the Baptist Cathedral and stayed at the loft from Thursday through Monday. Owners couldn't have been nicer. They welcomed us and allowed us to stash our luggage in a different, unused rental property at check out time, so that we could enjoy one last day in Savannah before our evening flight home without dragging our suitcases around town all day. We found Savannah very walkable and didn't rent a car. We walked from the loft to the river 3 different times. It's a little hike, but not too far. Forsythe Park is practically across the street. We slept well in the rental. We've traveled all over the world, but never stayed in a place as beautiful and unique as this. We'd highly recommend it, but make sure you realize there is an "open concept" about the rental if you plan to stay there with another couple, or with children. (The rails on the landings may be a little dangerous with toddlers - see photos.) It was a wonderful place to stay. We are so glad that we chose this place. Thank you Kevin & John.

Savannah, GeorgiaStellar - a Truly Unique Property
Left on 03/18/2013 for a stay in January 2013
From beginning to end, this was a great vacation. Kevin made the rental process extremely easy, responding to our changing needs with flexibility. John, owner & renovator, lives on site & provided a wealth of information about the building. The location is perfect, situated in the Victorian District just beyond reach of the trolleys and horse carriages, but close to everything. Several very good restaurants are within walking distance as is a small grocery and Forsythe Park provided my morning walking regimen. It was also an easy hub from which to navigate by car. The loft itself is wonderful. Situated in an historic structure, all the amenities are high quality &contemporary.; Another couple joined us for part of our stay and were as smitten with the accommodations as we were. Had the weather not been so nice (and it was perfect), I would have been content to spend many more hours inside this amazing space.

Murphy, North CarolinaAwesome Loft!
Left on 10/24/2012 for a stay in October 2012
This loft was one of the best places we have ever stayed! It was neat and clean and tastefully decorated. Not too much stuff. We had a chance to meet John and found out he basically remodeled the loft himself! Such a craftsman! We were within walking distance of Forsyth Park. The Farmer's Market was going on that weekend, so we loaded up on some great food. The coffee shop across from Forsyth Park offered good coffee and food as well as a great spot to people watch! We can't thank Kevin and John enough for their southern hospitality! Being a landlord can sometimes be challenging, but they went above and beyond expectations.

I had a wedding at Middle Loft at Sanctuary Place Inn October, 2012. The owner was amazing to work with! Everything was perfect and he was a great resource. The pictures do not do justice...honestly the light, stained glass and architectural details are breath taking. Middle loft embraces the ideal fusion of modern while showcasing the original work and charm of Savannah.
Great amenities, comfort and style...one couldn't ask for more! We plan on returning for our anniversary!

Springfield MADefining "Home" in Homeaway, The Loft truly is a sanctuary
Left on 10/07/2012 for a stay in September 2012
I don't travel much but when I was searching for places to stay in Savannah on the Homeaway web site, the pictures of The Middle Loft were so beautiful I knew this was where I wanted to stay. I was not dissapointed in its beauty and elegance when I saw it in person. From the replication of the original bell tower to the stained glass windows, The Loft is truly a unique place to stay. Kevin was very nice and informative through our email and phone conversations in the making of our arrangements. John had met us upon our arrival and was very accomodating. He explained the history and renovation efforts of the loft, all the amenities it had to offer, and the negborhood stores, shops, and parks that were all within close walking distance. We had spent alot of time in Forsyth Park which is right around the corner. It is a very beautiful park and there always seemed to be numerous activities going on from sports, to concerts, to a farmer's market on Saturday.Tennis and basketball courts are located there also. The park also serves as a gateway to the heart of historical downtown Savannah.
Our stay was very comfortable. Every ammenity one could want was made available to us during our stay from extra paper towels to a Bose speaker dock. We were in Savannah for my daughter's wedding and our children baked seven pies in the kitchen that were served at the ceremony. Three of our family members were there for the whole week, but we had family members come ago throughout the week and other family members stay with us for just the weekend. The Loft was spacious enough to accomodate us all. We appreciated the openess of the Loft since we were "all together" even when we were in different rooms or on different floors even.
As preparations for weddings can sometimes be a bit hectic, The Loft truly did serve as a sanctuary and made our stay a very wonderful experience. Thanks Kevin and John!
