Charming Mix of Old and New one block from the Whitefield (wedding) Square. This location is just a short stroll under the moss covered oak trees to Forsyth Park. We are proud to announce another long time Savannah guest of Savannah Getaways purchasing their own historic home. Hard to deny the allure of living in the historic district for those of us that enjoy low-country living! Especially considering Savannah is one of the top ten walking cities in the country.

This outstanding renovation is located within walking distance to shops, restaurants, art galleries, parks, trolley stops and River Street.... The home was absolutely beautiful, and located in a quieter area of historic savannah that was away from the noise of the bars, yet a very short walk to the river. The homeowner was extremely responsive when we had a minor issue with the stereo system. The townhome had everything we needed. My two year old keeps saying he wants to go back to his vacation house.

What a wonderful experience. Our place was absolutely beautiful with attention to detail with conveniences and decor. We brought our bikes so getting around was so much fun. Chatham square was so inviting and beautiful. What a birthday gift to spend a weekend living Savannah! We celebrated a 50th, 80th and 53rd birthdays. It was so nice to have the whole family in one place. What charm and character in every room in the house. Luxurious linens and fabulous bathrooms. No bugs and very clean. You had everything you could possible want or need at your figure tips. We felt fortunate that this owner shared his labor of love with us. Thank you for a very memorable celebration.
The quality of our accomodations added to our overall enjoyment of city of Savannah. The home is centrally located in the historic district of Savannah, within easy walking distance of the main attractions. The upgrades to the home make it very comfortable for the guest, while continuing to respect its history. We enjoyed the overall experience.

We rented this beautiful home for four days in April. Savannah Getaways couldn't have been any more accommodating and helpful. The home had beautiful modern bathrooms and a gourmet kitchen, yet the rest of the home maintained it's historic charm. There is a beautiful view of Chatham Square from the front windows and a cute little private courtyard in the back that was great for breakfast or wine and cheese evenings. It's at the far end of the historic district near Forsythe Park, so the neighborhood was extremely quiet--not nearly the hustle and bustle you would find closer to the river. If I had to find a negative about the property, it would be parking. We did get a 48-hour parking pass from the visitor's center, so we could park free at any of the meters, and most times it wasn't difficult finding an empty spot, but sometimes when we were returning late in the evening, we had to park a block or two away.
