"Even Prettier than the Pictures! We rented the Taylor Estate for our group of singles & couples. We were 12 total with plenty of room to spare! The house was beautiful - every room is like a dream! I couldn't believe it when we got there - so much better than I had imagined. We had a fabulous weekend - we walked everywhere we wanted to go. We'll stay at Taylor Estate every time we're in Savannah.

Luxurious 6 BR Estate in heart of historic downtwn

Located in the original GA colony established in 1763 ( now known as the Landmark Historic District), the Taylor Estate was built in 1870. It consists of the three- story, 4 BR/2.5BA Manor and it's self-standing, two-story 2BR/2BA Carriage House located behind it. In 2001, the Estate was lovingly restored by the current owner. The Carriage House was renamed Taylor Cottage. Initially it was rented out long term and the owners family lived in the Manor. But in 2007, both homes became one and have been rented out together as the Taylor Estate vacation rental. The private four car driveway adjoins the Cottage and Manor. There is additional parking on Taylor Street in front of the Estate as well. The Courtyards of both the Manor and Cottage open onto the driveway and are filled with lush foliage and furnished. Combined, the Manor and its Cottage form the 6BR/4.5BA Taylor Estate. The Landmark Historic District is 1 mile x 1 mile in size with the Estate located in the southeast quadrant between River Street (with its souvenier shops, weekend street faires and restaurants) to the north & Forsyth Park (perfect for picnics, jogging, tennis or basketball, farmers market on Saturdays and enjoying it's frequent festivals) lies to the south. Museums, Restaurants, Cafes, Historic Home Tours, Shops and antique stores surround you as do the famous Savannah Squares (each unique with a statue/monument and lined with live oaks dripping spanish moss). While smaller, upscale bars/restaurants are close by ...Taylor Street leaves the blaring bars & craziness of Congress and River Streets several blocks northwest to allow peaceful rest at night. You'll waken to chirping birds and squirrels vying for nuts in the branches of the gnarled magnolia tree which fronts the entrance to the Estate. Iron gas-lights stretch down further east on Taylor Street toward Beasely Park where locals let their dogs enjoy the freedom of a fenced dog run, enjoy soccer or the softball field and take their kids to the newly renovated playground. 1 Block to the west lies Whitfield Square. While every Savannah Square is unique, nearby Whitfield Square has its charming gazebo which is a favorite site for outdoor weddings. Across the street from the Taylor Estate is the St Benedict Catholic Church, c1800's and it unfolds across several blocks to the south. The beach is a short 20 min drive. For the past three centuries, everything in the historic downtown district from River Street, City Market, Museums, Shops and Cafe/Restaurants remain walking distance from the front door of the home.
A recent guest remarked... "We loved it! You walk THROUGH everything as you walk TO everything!" For those that don't wish to walk...call a Pedicab (a bicycle cab) to pick you up, hop on the free downtown shuttle bus, or take an on/off trolley tour. Trolley and Carriage Tours provide complimentary pick up/drop off to our guests.

Pet Fee $50/home IF nonshedding breed only and with pet restricted to only Manor or only Cottage. Shedding breeds increase to $75/home w/same restrictions. Must be housebroken, past chewing stages with owner preapproval of Breed/Age required prior to use of book it now option.
Must be 25 years of age to book. Property is for residential use and may not be used as a party venue (eg: reception hall, rehearsal/ceremony site, or gathering/dining spot for guests outside of those residing/included in rental agreement).
Stay that include a major holiday will be quoted at high season rates.

Weekly rates based are based on a 7 night stay with 7th night free.
Discounts are not combined & must be requested directly with owner at the time of booking (not given retroactively).

Eligibility for Senior & "Active" military Discounts must be held by the actual person booking and not just held by a member within your group. Proof/ID for all discounts required. .

Cancellation Policy: Given > 60 days prior to arrival =$100.00 change/cancellation fee incurred. $300.00 Change/cancellation fee if given between 31 - 60 days of arrival. Cancellations not refunded within 30 days of arrival however :).......dates of stay may be rescheduled with no loss in funds except for addition of change fee if rescheduled within 6 months and within same seasonal rate (if date change goes from low to high season, additional monies required... w/no change in reservation cost if it is the reverse.
