My family spent 4 nights for Thanksgiving in the York house, I have stayed at several homes in Savannah and this is by far nicest inside. Renovated very well and the king beds in every room are a huge plus. However for the money I would expect a better hot water heater ( you have 4 minutes tops) also only 2 or so blocks away from edge of town and thin walls. We did overhear a long 2 am street fight.

Regarding your last point, the house is in the heart of the historic downtown district. Its construction is consistent with all the wooden homes built in the area in the early 1800's. We're sorry to hear that you were witness to a late night city disturbance, beyond our control. -

What a wonderful stay it was at this house,
as we arrived and went thru the house and was captures from it's charme.
The house has everthing you need for a wonderful nice stay. The historical
district is so nearby that the horse carriages came slowly by the livingroom window in the evening on there way home.
We will come back.
Was für eine schöne Zeit in diesen Haus. Wir waren zu fünft.
Als wir nach einer Rundreise diese Haus betraten waren wir sofort von seinen Charme gefangen. Dieses Haus hat alles am rechten Platz, die Küche mit der angrenzenden Terrasse ist einfach perfekt. Es liegt fast unmittelbar im Historische Bereich von Savannah, vieles ist bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen.
Wir werden wiederkommen. -

We had a fabulous stay at 509 East York for my mother-in-law's 60th birthday! The property is located in a fabulous area of Savannah's historic district, just a short walk from River Street and City Market. The home itself was beautifully decorated, the beds were very comfortable, and everything was immaculate. It was a very hot weekend, and since it was a 3-story home, the top floor just didn't cool off properly. We let the home owners know, and they quickly installed individual air conditioning units in the 3rd floor bedroom windows. We were extremely happy with the level of customer service we received from the home owners. And once the cool air was flowing, our stay was perfect! Overall, we were very impressed with this beautiful, historic home and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Savannah!

The rental process was straightforward, the place was clean and the kitchen and bathrooms looked brand new. Location was excellent. We had three couples in our group and stayed four nights at the '509'. We were out and about a lot so we didn't spend a whole lot of time in the unit but the time we were there was comfortable.

Your party of six stayed in this newly renovated 3 bedroom historic home for around the same price as one comparable hotel room. Is there any way in which we could improve on your value rating next time? -

The house was beyond my greatest expectations. I am at lunch with my coworkers which are all nurses telling them that the house was beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this home to anyone. However, I would recommend putting rubber flats on the steps. My sister fell down six steps. She was fine just extremely sore. This wouldn't keep me from coming back to your beautiful home.

My wife and I booked this property with 2 other couples. The 3 bedroom, 2.5 baths were more than adequate space, and we also enjoyed the well appointed kitchen (with any plate, utensil, and gadget you could ask for), bathrooms, and living areas, as well as the outdoor dining space. The washer and dryer were convenient as well The property was renovated to include many modern touches, but still kept the ambiance of an historic home.
We were walking distance (5-10 minutes) of the entire River Street area, as well as the rest of the historic district including Paula Dean's, the historic squares, City Market, and all of the other tours, etc Savannah has to offer. Tybee island was a 15-20 minute drive.
There was plenty of onstreet parking (free parking close by surrounding the squares), as well as one dedicated offstreet parking spot that was very convenient.
We would definitely recommend this property to anyone, and would love to stay here again! -

Our stay on E. York St. for St Patricks' Weekend was excellent and I wanted to thank you guys for the lovely time. This was our first time at the parade and we're already talking about plans to book for next year. The house was beautiful and very cozy during our stay in Savannah. We were all very impressed.
