The towering Sycamore tree out back lends its name to our Sycamore House, built in 1875 on the lovely Jones Street, named “the prettiest street in America” by Southern Living Magazine. It has two bedrooms and one-and-a-half baths that comfortably accommodate six Lucky guests, with a mix of modern conveniences and relaxed Southern charm.
An extensive interior renovation in 2012 successfully merged contemporary amenities with the home’s original Southern charm. Pine floors, ornamental hearths, and wood ceiling beams are complimented by state of the art appliances, cable television and wireless Internet throughout. You&rs...quo;ll feel equally at home and on vacation here, so you might want to consider an extended stay.
Downstairs is comprised of two living areas. One seating area when you enter the house features matching decorative brick hearths, a loveseat and an inviting leather chaise where you can curl up with a good book or the remote control. Pass the fully equipped kitchen to the family room in the back, and you’ll find another large screen TV, and soft, cozy furnishings including a sleeper sofa. From here, French doors open onto your brick and ivy patio, expanding the already ample 1400 square foot floor plan, with a stainless steel gas grill and bistro seating.
The king-size master bedroom is atop a small set of stairs, and has exclusive access to the newly added, stunning rooftop deck. Overlooking the lush greenery of the courtyard and boasting enough space for everyone, you’ll love to sit outside and sip the sweet air along with your favorite cocktail. Also upstairs, the guest room has a queen-size bed and the hospitable warmth you’d expect when visiting the most welcoming Savannah family. The bath is fully renovated with a gorgeous oversized shower that infuses a touch of luxury into the relaxed décor.
The Sycamore House will serve as the best possible home base for your upcoming vacation, if you’re interested in a surprisingly affordable, deliciously indulgent, “live like a local” experience. Bring your best girls together for your bachelorette, or pack up the kids and your spouse for an excursion steeped in history and culture – either group will benefit from the property’s close proximity to restaurants, shopping, nightlife and family attractions. If you have a larger party, ask about the adjacent one-bedroom carriage house that can also be utilized as a master suite, bringing the total available accommodations to three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths. We’ll make sure you have everything you need, so book your Lucky vacation property today.

We spent Thanksgiving weekend at the Sycamore House, meeting our older daughter from Raleigh and her boyfriend there. Also, we were accompanied by our younger daughter and her boyfriend, so we were a full house. What a pleasant stay it was! It is a beautiful townhouse set in the historic district. We walked everywhere, made a Thanksgiving turkey dinner at the house, enjoyed the cool, clear weather. Since we had a dog with us, the proximity to the dog park was also a large plus.
My only caveat might be that the dining table is a four top, so we were a bit packed for the holiday dinner. But since we all like each other,it was not a major problem. I would heartily recommend this rental.
(also, my older daughter and BF really enjoyed Mrs. Wilkes...)

The house was nice. Really enjoyed the big shower and the deck. There was a slight animal pee smell in the front living room but we didn't hang out in there much. Owners were very nice and checked in with us to see how everything was when we arrived. I would stay here again. Read more
We are glad that you enjoyed your visit! We haven't been notified of an odor issue prior to your stay or after but we take these concerns very seriously and will definitely look into it. Thank you very much for staying with us and we hope to see you again soon!

Loved our stay in Savannah. The place was cozy and comfortable and so nicely furnished. Adorable. Everything is just as the photos portray. Jones Street was one of the prettiest neighborhoods and convenient for us to take walks to restaurants, parks and stores. Could have stayed there forever...but had to go home. First thing we thought of after we left was "how soon can we go back?" Thank you so much.

Beautifully decorated and well furnished home which had just been remodeled. The great looking double shower was very roomy. Very spacious two story town house. Nice kitchen. Quiet area. Conveniently located in Savannah Historic District. Short drive to Paula Deen's The Lady and Sons restaurant. Short walk to Mrs. Wilke's Boarding House where you can have a delicious all you can eat home cooked meal. Short drive to shops and restaurants on River Street. Can use free trolleys to see nearby attractions. Corey Jones was a great host and very accommodating. Great value for the price. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

I could not have been happier with the Sycamore House on Jones Street. Jones Street is beautiful and lined with oak trees. We could walk all over the Historic District and did not even bother to get in our car once we parked. The house was just as described... very clean, historic charm, lots of space and the outdoor spaces were an added bonus. I loved waking up in the morning and having my coffee on the upstairs deck and we would grill out in the courtyard below at night. I would definitely stay in this home again and would recommend it to all of my friends and family. The owner told me that they are renovating the carriage house in the back, so I might add that on the next time I come to Savannah. I will definitely be staying here on my next trip to Savannah!

Communication with Robyn was easy and efficient. She went out of her way to help get us into a restaurant.
The home was clean with some terrific amenities such as a walk-in shower, a backyard and a deck. The bed and other furniture were attractive and comfortable. The layout is quirky; there are a number of places on both floors where one needs to mind one's step as there are several sets of short stairs. This was not a problem for us but it should be noted. The kitchen cupboards were in poor condition and the hot/cold water were reversed in the kitchen sink.
The neighborhood is lovely. The house is near some of this city's beautiful squares and within walking distance of most of historic and Victorian Savannah. There are some terrific restaurants nearby.
In sum, in spite of the couple of issues with the kitchen, we would happily stay in this lovely, quirky home again.

We found this home on E jones street to be extremely comfortable and relaxing. We've rented from the owners in the past and always receive the southern hospitality we've come to expect. You won't be disapointed!
