RaleighBeautifully Furnished, Great Service, but Missing on Necessities
Left on 03/14/2013 for a stay in March 2013
The unit had recently been redecorated and was beautifully furnished. Even to the point of a $1700 light fixture in the kitchen. The backyard with the patio and hammock was private and great for relaxing after touring the city.
However, the floor in the bathroom was the original white linoleum which was practically black now. The bathtub drain backed up so a shower resulted in 4 inches of standing water in the tub. When we arrived the tub basin had dead flies, hair, and other particles in the basin.
Most concerning from a safety standpoint was the stove. When the oven was used, the entire house smelt like gas. Additionally, the burners were missing the burner caps to spread the flame. So using the burners resulted in a six inch flame like a bunsen burner.
The property manager did give us a break on the price since the property we were originally interested in had already booked. I believe I would have paid the additional amount if the above items of concern had been resolved.
