There is a lot of personality packed into this two-bedroom, one-bath house, with décor provided by Savannah's finest design and furnishings store, 24e. In the beautiful Historic District on East Jones Street, you’ll enjoy the quintessential cobblestones and century-old oak trees that spurred Southern Living Magazine to name it the “America’s prettiest street.”
Get inspired by the spirited mix of modern and vintage art, and a combination of ultra-mod and Southern-vintage styles that was celebrated in Savannah Magazine’s 2013 Spring Homes Issue. The master suite features a cozy queen-size bed with tuft...ed headboard, a flat screen TV, and an adjoining office space with additional seating. The second bedroom has two twin-size beds. A comfortable living area, fully equipped slate tiled kitchen and dining area, derive their rich character from the original wood flooring and barn-style doors. The home is made even more luxurious by the private courtyard and outdoor entertaining space, complete with a heavenly hammock to relax in, and a vegetable garden ripe for the picking! Two off-street parking spots make coming and going a breeze.

I will agree with the reviews that this home is in an excellent location. This place is
decorated quite nicely as pictured, but there is some wear that is beginning to show in regards to the furniture. Additionally, we found I found the mattress and pillows to be a uncomfortable. My problem with this place started at the door which jammed the
whole time I was there and had to be forcibly opened. Also, during my visit
there was quite a bit of moss covering the front steps and a planter with dead
plants in it. Upon entering we were bombarded with a musty odor that required
us purchasing some air fresheners. The bathroom in this house needs quite a bit
of work from the dirty vinyl flooring, the worn out bathtub, and the ugly
plastered ceiling. The laundry area fares no better, there are water stains on
the walls. I have provided photos of these areas since none have been posted. My last issue here were the cockroaches (granted we only saw a few)
and that there were no premium cable channels (HBO, Showtime, etc.). All in all, the stay there was so-so and I believe there are better hotels or places to rent in Savannah at the same price point than this cottage. Read more
We are so sorry that this home did not live up to this guests expectations, as our goal is to exceed them. There was some considerable rain and thunderstorms over the weekend of this guest's stay with some areas of downtown having some flooding issues. The sticking door and moss on front porchs, the musty odor upon arrival, and even the couple of insects are probably attributable to the rain and high humidity (we haven't had similar issues with guests before or after when the weather was a bit drier). This home is on a scheduled pest control service, but the rain may have driven in some insects...We have some great processes in place to address any concerns guests may have during their stay, and we encourage all our guests to call or text during their stay with any issues...unfortunately, we didn't hear from this guest until after they departed, and didn't have an opportunity to use our resources to improve their experience while they were here. We will be looking at updating the bathroom area in the next few weeks ahead of this Fall. While 100% functional and clean, we do want our guests to feel that the bathroom matches the high quality furnishings and fixtures found throughout the rest of the cottage.
We felt at home as soon as we walked in the door "Lucy" and all.

we recently spent a weekend at 24e for a family wedding. The cottage is magical! The decor is beautiful yet very warm and comfortable. The accommodations were perfect. Everything we did was in walking distance which made it very convenient! I would certainly recommend this for visitors coming to Savannah.
The only thing less that perfect was closet space. But we worked around that fine.

This is the perfect cottage for a girls weekend! We loved the cottage and the back courtyard too! We loved the decor---it was cozy yet very chic! So much more fun to all be together instead of in separate hotel rooms!

Loved this cottage. It was "modern" and comfortable in a historic setting. The only flaw was lack of closet space. I especially liked the interior doors. The furnishings were perfect and inviting and comfortable. Everything we needed was there for us. I felt very safe in the area and found it easy to locate parking. It was definitely an enjoyable stay and a pleasure to be here.

We really liked staying at 24e cottage. The house is super comfy and private. Loved the outdoor courtyard and lights. We were close to everything downtown - never used our car. Loved going to Circa for dinner.
Beautifully Furnished, Great Service, but Missing on Necessities

The unit had recently been redecorated and was beautifully furnished. Even to the point of a $1700 light fixture in the kitchen. The backyard with the patio and hammock was private and great for relaxing after touring the city.
However, the floor in the bathroom was the original white linoleum which was practically black now. The bathtub drain backed up so a shower resulted in 4 inches of standing water in the tub. When we arrived the tub basin had dead flies, hair, and other particles in the basin.
Most concerning from a safety standpoint was the stove. When the oven was used, the entire house smelt like gas. Additionally, the burners were missing the burner caps to spread the flame. So using the burners resulted in a six inch flame like a bunsen burner.
The property manager did give us a break on the price since the property we were originally interested in had already booked. I believe I would have paid the additional amount if the above items of concern had been resolved. Read more
Thank you so much for staying with us and being our very first guest at the 24e Cottage. I wish I had known about these issues when you were visiting, we would have definitely taken care of them the same day. Because you were the very first guest, we were not aware of any of the problems but have completely addressed and fixed the bathroom and the stove burners. We would love to have you back now that this home is up to our level of ours standards.
