When it was time for a weekend get away we decided we were going to make a trip back to Savannah! We also went right back to te last place we stayed, here! It feels like we are going home when we stay there. We love the proximity to all the restaurants and bars. We enjoyed walking to Parker's for breakfast each morning as well to bring back to the room. We will be back again on our next trip! The bed is so amazing!!

This condo apartment is the right size for two people, with living room, small kitchen and bedroom. Good quality furniture with décor that shows it's owned by a man. We bought a 3-day parking pass from the Visitors Center, so we could leave our car right in front of the building at the metered parking. There are some improvements that could be made: The refrigerator needs to be leveled, because it wobbles and also runs loudly. In the bedroom there are shutters on only the lower half of the windows and a bright light right outside, so guests should bring a sleeping mask for enough darkness to sleep well. Privacy is a lesser issue, because the people in the only visible windows across the courtyard lower their blinds in the evening.
The kitchen has only the basics as far as dishes and utensils--don't expect to do any extensive cooking. The table is just large enough for plates but not serving dishes--just fine for breakfast. Basics like salt, pepper, some spices, oils etc. plus various items left by other guests were handy to use.
All in all, we were comfortable at this apartment. The large writing desk in the sitting room was handy for computer use. We were there during cold weather, so I brought a blanket in from the bedroom to cover the leather sofa and stay warmer. We weren't thrilled that bed pillows had no ticking covers that could be washed--just pillow cases that were barely large enough for the pillows.
Great location, adorable condo

I loved this condo. The owners were easy to work with. The condo was perfect for a quick weekend in Savannah. We walked to Forsyth Park and River Street. The condo was emaculate; however, there was a rug in the living room that smelled of pet urine. It didn't ruin it for us, but probably needs to be addressed. The entrance wasn't well marked, so we wandered around the courtyard for a few minutes untill we saw someone exiting the foyer. We would definitely stay here again!

We have been to this condo for many years, and it is our home away from home. We love the service we get from Savannah Getaways, and we love this condo, but it seems that someone is not keeping up with the details as well as they used to. Missing things like corkscrews and scissors, no Wifi, very little toilet paper or soap, few clothes hangers, things like that can sort of take a little of the bloom off the rose. It is a perfect unit, however. And we still had a beautiful week.

What a great place and place to stay!
I was visiting locals and we ended meeting there every night for drinks to start the move downtown.
Fix the ceiling fan, and it'll be perfect! Already told a bunch of people about savannah getaways!

What an amazing place this was to stay while we were in Savannah. It was walking distance to everything! To the river, to restaurants, and a store. We didnt touch our car once. We felt very safe and secure at the apt. Ot was perfect for our get away trip. We cooked breakfast in the kitchen and it's very issuable! We will stay again for our next trip to Savamnah.

Pros: The Liberty 1 bedroom, 1bath is in a perfect location to walk to the River, the park or to any restaurant or shopping. The little apartment is comfortably furnished and the bed is comfortable. It was super clean and had everything you needed in the kitchen to cook and eat in.
Cons: The little bistro set they have in the galley kitchen isn't comfortable, so you end up eating out in the living room. And they have shutters that go 3/4 the way up the window but there are no curtains or shades, so the street light does stream into the bedroom. The lockbox gave us some trouble but we eventually got in. ;)
Well lit street, but no curtains in the bedroom made for a long

The location of the property is great. Unfortunately, we did not rest well during our stay. The bedroom is facing the street, and there are no curtains or blinds on the window. The lights from the street were so bright, it was difficult to sleep.

The building is an apartment house but the unit is on the main floor. It is decorated very nicely. The locking system was confusing to me. The bedroom clock did not work, the air conditioning filter was dirty, the front room fan remote apparently had a special battery that was dead. The TV needs to be updated and a list of channels in the room would be helpful. Unit is located at the one end of the Historic District. If I revisited I would choose a more central location. Keep in mind also that the unit does not have Wifi. Read more
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay in Savannah. We appreciate your concerns and are dealing with the issues you passed along.
We've never had anyone have trouble with the lock box entry, but we will see if we can change the wording of our instructions to make it less confusing to any future guests. Sorry that you had trouble with this.
The bedroom clock has been fixed, the air conditioning filter has been replaced as well as the battery in the front room fan.
This unit is centrally located on Liberty Street (which is the center of Savannah from North to South). It is located in the 300 block of East Liberty Street so definitely not completely on one end being only three blocks from the center of the historic district from East to West.
Also, we do not advertise that this unit has WiFi so we would highly recommend any potential guests be sure to check over all of the information we provide on the individual listings to be sure the amenities in our homes, condos, etc. will meet your needs.
Again, we sincerely appreciate the feedback.

We honeymooned in this wonderful Savannah apartment in the late summer. On the whole, we loved this apartment and the city, and would highly recommend it to anyone.
1) Great central location in the gorgeous historic district;
2) Plenty of space for two people;
3) Very comfortable - apt. came with all clean towels, utensils, bedding, etc as promised;
4) Excellent value - low price for everything you get;
5) A/C works, is included in price. and apartment stayed quite cool.
Areas in Need of Improvement:
1) No blinds on windows;
2) Musty-smell as you enter the building, but not in apt. itself;
3) Some of the lights didn't work/needed new light bulbs;
4) No wifi - something we didn't necessarily want/need most of the time, but it would've been nice to use laptop to check email instead of having to use smart phone.
Positives heavily outweighed negatives, and we would certainly stay here again! Read more
This historic older building is like most of the older building in historic Savannah, they can be musty smelling due to their age. The extensive renovation on the inside of this particular home has been completed within the past ten years and hence no smell issues. WiFi is not an advertised option with this particular garden level unit. If WiFi access is important to future travelers, it is not an option in this particular home as reflected with the low price structure. Every thing else has been dealt with in the way of lights all working.
Thanks for the nice review. We appreciate your choosing this location for your honeymoon in Savannah.

This property was a fantastic surprise. After exclusively renting a property on Liberty St, we decided to try a new locale and were not disappointed. The courtyard leading to the property was a fantastic common area where everyone gathered for wine and conversation before dinner or other nightlife. The actual unit was spacious and well-appointed. We were very pleased with our stay. I highly recommend staying here.

We enjoyed our stay in Savannah and the accommodations at the Liberty House. The condo was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. With the exception of a couple of small issues such as needing blinds on the windows in the bedroom (streetlight shining in to the room) and a leaky toilet, the condo was clean and spacious. The owner has been apprised of the street light issue and the leaky toilet has been repaired.

We felt the condo was an excellent holiday spot,easy walking anywhere in the Historic District. It was quiet at night,comfortable,roomy, with an acceptable kitchen. Negatives include no off street parking,no in-condo laundry,and benches in the courtyard weren't safe to use. We felt safe and enjoyed a few restaurants that were within two blocks.

We have stayed in this condo for about 6 years in a row now and are booked for the 7th in February. The location is perfect, the condo has everything we could possibly want or need, and we feel totally at home there.We think it is a great deal, compared to staying in hotels where you have to go to restaurants for all your meals. We cook breakfast and lunch at home, and go out for dinner.
We can walk to parks, historic homes, markets, coffee shops and restaurants, and we feel totally surrounded by the history of Savannah while having the modern conveniences we want, like air conditioning and a microwave and DVD player. We have access to a little garden, we are on the ground floor (no long staircases), we feel so comfortable. It's just a wonderful way to get a week in Savannah, our favorite city in the world.

Upon arriving at this rental location, we did have a problem to actually finding our rental in the building it was in. I would suggest some kind of sign on the outside of the building or front door telling people where their rental was located at. Parking was not much of a problem like we thought it would be, you just have to pay attention to when the streets are being cleaned. The rental itself was very nice. We had everything we needed to stay there. I liked the area since it was close to other historic squares that we could visit and take photo's. I would recommend Savannah Getaways to all my friends and family. They were very helpful and did everything that they advertised about.

This unit was in a great building and a perfect neighborhood. Walking is our main transportaton when we are in Savannah and this location was perfect. We enjoyed the courtyard, which is visible from the unit as well.
The unit was comfortable and nicely appointed. Our only complaint was that there were minimal hangers in the closet. We stayed a week and this was kind of annoying for such a lovely place.
We would recommend this place and would rent it again.

We love going to Savannah for a week every February and finding this condo makes it even better. The unit is clean, beautiful, convenient, and feels like old Savannah. We walk out of the door into the historic district. When we feel like staying home, we can cook meals, watch a DVD, sleep late, or play a game. We think of it as our home away from home.
It's only a one bedroom but it feels roomy, with plenty of storage space and the kitchen works for us. The shower is huge! We don't have to climb lots of stairs, either.

My new husband and I spent our honeymoon in this great apartment. It was private, clean, quiet and conveniently located. The apartment has wonderful furnishings and is very comfortable for relaxing in. The location is a little to the east of the areas of the historic district we visited but it only added an extra five minutes to our walk which in Savannah is adding five minutes of joy.
The only negative is the parking situation. You have to get up early on your first day to go to the Tourism Office to get a parking permit so you can park on the street. We never had a problem getting a good space though and there is one day of the week you have to make sure your car is on the right side of the street for the street sweeper but again only a mild inconvenience.
Don't stay at the Hilton, stay here!

Savannah Getaways is awesome...I looked all over for a hotel near the historic district that wasn't $$$$, this was the answer. AND it's not a hotel, it's a little pied-a-terre. Service and communication were great from Savannah Getaways. My only disappointement was arriving at the property and my instructed time and finding that the key was not in the lock box, this resulted in a 1.5 hour delay before we could get in. Then, I accidently left 2 rain jackets in the closet (my fault, I know) and have tried endlessly to get them sent to me and no one will assist. I have even been told to call the housekeeper, who has confirmed she has them, but no one will help. That's very disspointing for an otherwise lovely stay and service.
Lovely, perfect location!

We spent a little under a week at this lovely condo in the historic
district in downtown Savannah. The location was absolutely perfect -
it was close to a great coffee shop that we frequented everyday, and
also spent many mornings walking through the district and admiring
the lovely sights!
The property was great! A great kitchen, which was very clean and
also the perfect size bedroom, family room and bathroom. We would
definitely return to this property in the future!

We spent a weekend here in May. The location was central to everything. We parked our car (free on weekends) right outside and didn't move it all weekend. Although the bedroom, bath and kitchen are a little on the small side, it was ample for two and much better than a hotel room. We didn't cook in, but the small kitchen was well equipped. The furnishings are tasteful. My only complaint would be the sunshine coming through the bedroom windows in the morning. There are shutters on the bottom half only. We would stay here again.

Apart from a day trip to Tybee Island, we walked everywhere from our base on Liberty Street. We had everything within a short distance, from groceries to history to great restaurants and bars.
As for the accommodations, the place was spotless, and apart from the fact that there was no tub, the amenities were all in good working order.
One comment about the stereo system and TV. Perhaps an explanation about which buttons to push to achieve success with TV, pay per vue, or stereo would be in order.

Nice layout and great location in Historic Savannah. Stayed there before with no problems. This year a bedroom wall had a rising damp situation causing the room to smell of mildew. This created allergy situations for my wife and myself. All but the bathroom window are painted shut so we could not alleviate the problem.

We stayed at the Liberty St. apt, Savannah, GA the week of June 9, 2008. It was GREAT! Perfect location - we were within walking distance of eveything; great restaurants down the street and around the corner. The apartment was comfortable - the water pressure was low, but we managed; we met a nice family from west Florida who were staying in an adjacent apartment and we shared places to go/eat. Savannah is a wonderful place to slow down. The pace is so easy and relaxed and the beautiful squares are ideal places to watch the world go by. My husband and I both commented on how friendly and accomodating everyone was; even waiting in line at Mrs. Wilk's was a pleasure as we met more people and enjoyed lunch with a table full of strangers, now new friends. If the Chamber of Commerce needs a spokes person I'm ready. This was a wonderful vacation for us. Thanks for helping us find such lovely accomodations. We will recommend Savannah Get Aways when ever possible.
