Left on 04/06/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at this refined and lovely establishment. It felt more as if we were visiting friends than staying as guests. Maurice and Glenn guided us through our vacation travel plans before we even left our home. Upon arrival, we found this charming Victorian to be both cheerful and inviting from the moment we stepped in the door. We have stayed at many B&Bs; throughout the world, but at Park avenue Manor, we experienced attention to detail and courtesy unsurpassed by others. Rest assured we will be back to Savannah, not just because of the
beautiful city, but because of the reception we received at this elegant B&B;. -

Ocala, flPerfect for my daughters bachelorette weekend!
Left on 02/11/2013 for a stay in January 2013
This is a beautiful home that was large enough to give everyone the space they needed, but small enough to feel right at home. The service was excellent. Everything from booking the reservation to arrival to departure...the caretaker even came over and took some group pictures for us. I highly recommend this home. Its close enough to walk to everything or if you're tired, you can get a taxi shuttle for a very reasonable rate.

We were a family group of 6 adults and two small children. This was a perfect choice for us. The home is very spacious, lovely, and comfortable. The kitchen is huge.
We stayed 5 nights- and would have loved to stay longer. The bedrooms are on the bottom floor, very well appointed and good beds. A grocery store is close by. The free tram is a short walk. The homes in the area are very charming and historic. -

Charleston, SCAn amazing house!!
Left on 07/17/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We stayed here for two nights for a weekend away birthday party. Upon arrival, we were greeted by one of the owners of the home. She gave us a tour along with some interesting facts about the history of the house and tips on good places to eat in town. She also helped us sort out our parking since we had several cars. Everyone was able to find a spot on the street near the house. As for the house itself, it is exquisite! The size of the rooms are huge, with plenty of sleeping space to accommodate a large party. The decor is elegant, welcoming, and warm. The house is divided into two parts. One side is for the rental property, and the other side is where the owners live. Now, we were a group of young adults in our late twenties and early thirties. Needless to say, we were up late and loud. The owners were very understanding and we did not hear from them once. They even provided us with a late check-out. We were also provided with games, towels, linens, and everything we needed. The location of the enormous shower was not a problem for us. It was my favorite part of the house :) As for location of the property, we were able to walk downtown if we wanted, or take a cheap cab ride home if not. We probably would have walked the entire time if it had not been so hot outside! We were lucky to find such a beautiful home at a good price and would be happy to stay here again on our next trip. You won't be disappointed!

Raleigh, NCPerfect for a Girls Weekend Getaway!!
Left on 03/19/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We had 10 girls stay for an extended bachelorette weekend getaway. Everyone was so impressed with how beautiful and comfortable the house was. There were more than enough beds for everyone. There's a king that could easily fit 3 if you wanted. There's also two queens, two twins, and two day beds upstairs. You get the historic charm of Savannah along with modern amenities. Everything we could need was provided for us including more than enough towels, comfortable linens and amazing pillows, and even little bottles of soaps/body washes/shampoos etc. in case someone forgot something. The owners are even more amazing than the house. We were greeted right away when we arrived and given a tour of the home ending with pamphlets on Savannah as well as useful tips on the area. They were extremely welcoming and all of us felt so much safer and more at home knowing that if we needed anything they would be there for us. We walked to River Street during the day, and took taxis at night. The house is very conveniently located so even getting a taxi is cheap. As other people have mentioned there is only one shower, but it is an amazing and huge shower. We had 10 girls and we had no problems working it out. There are two bathrooms downstairs, and a half upstairs. The whirlpool tub is perfect for a soak after a long walk too. You really can't beat the price for the quality and service that you get!!

This is a fascinating home, and was close to the amenities. We enjoyed the high ceilings, the fabulous kitchen, the balcony and porch, off-street parking. The owners were helpful and accommodating. We had lots of space for the little one to run, and total privacy. Three different segments of a family, and tons of privacy for all. Completely equipped, we needed nothing! One block off beautiful Forsythe Park, great place to walk. Excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. A shouts out thank you to our hosts!!

Left on 09/12/2011 for a stay in September 2011
Owner greeted us when we arrived and took us on a tour of the house. He provided pamphlets about the area and gave us great tips. House was large and clean. Only thing that I must mention is that the only bathroom with a shower is in the room with the King size bed. You need to walk through the Queen bed room and the king bedroom in order to reach the shower. Not a huge issue for us, just thought I would mention for future renters.

Left on 08/05/2010 for a stay in May 2010
A few friends and I visited Savannah for the Memorial Day Weekend and we all enjoyed our stay at this beautiful place. The house is amazing and impressing. It has two levels, four entrances, patio, swing, parking in the back where we were able to fit in a minivan. The kitchen has everything necessary and then some. The a/c came in handy as the weather was hot and humid. The beds are ok, fairly comfortable. Location was very nice, it is a bit of a walk to River Street, but a beautiful walk. Would go back and also recommend.

Left on 07/30/2009 for a stay in June 2009
Our Girl Scout troop stayed here for 6 nights and truly LOVED it!
Savannah Getaways was very helpful in finding a good home for our troop and did a great job on keeping us informed and sending material to us.
The owners of the home were MORE than helpful, with many tips & suggestions for touring Savannah & the surrounding areas, as well as driving directions.
The home is located just on the edge of the historic district and we had easy access to shopping, tours and outer areas, like Tybee Island.
Our girls, ages 12-14, were absolutely in awe of this Victorian style home.
The home was spacious & beautiful! The dining room had plenty of room for our girls to eat, and the kitchen was large enough for us to cook and store our food. The bedrooms had plenty of room for sleeping and luggage storage.
When we return to Savannah in the future, we will absolutely book this property again!
Our rental home made our trip to Savannah a very memorable stay. -

The house was ideal for my girl scout troop's trip to Savannah. It was imaculately maintained and beautifully furnished. A large well equipped kitchen made cooking easy. Plenty of room for all my troop and their parents. Another shower would have been useful, but not essential. I would (and have) definately recommend this house

This beautiful historical home was the perfect backdrop for my wedding party and myself (the Bride). I only stayed there for one evening, but I loved it. It was warm, inviting, and spacious. The owners were a wonderful couple that live next door. They truly made me feel at home. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone wanting to feel the history of Savannah.

Braselton, GABeautiful, lots of room!
Left on 02/26/2009 for a stay in January 2009
The house was huge and beautifully restored. We appreciated the ground level entrance to the bottom floor (where all 3 bedrooms are located). The kitchen had everything we needed (bring your own coffee). Our only complaint was that the location was a litle less than desirable. The neighborhood is diverse with several restored homes but just as many that have not been restored. This was probably the nicest house on the block by far; however, we felt safe while staying there.

Summerfield, NCSavannah vacation home
Left on 01/19/2009 for a stay in January 2009
We rented this property for a week over New Years. The house was spacious and comfortable, but it was in a neighborhood that was not the safest. We also felt that the home was maybe not as clean as we would have liked. There were plenty of towels and bedding. Even though the house has 2 1/2 bathrooms it only has one shower so that can make getting ready to go out a little slow. All in all we had a very nice vacation.

Left on 09/05/2008 for a stay in July 2008
House is large, and well situated for a good walk around the historic district of Savannah. All bedrooms and bathrooms are on the ground floor; kitchen, sitting rooms and dining room are upstairs. The couple that own the property live in the adjacent house, but are not obtrusive, and were helpful when we had a question.
Overall, a great visit, and a very good place to stay! -

Awesome house
Left on 08/14/2008 for a stay in July 2008
We spent a wonderful week in Savannah during our annual Sister Reunion. This house was more then we expected. Everything was decorated beautifully and there was more then enough room for five girls. Even though we were on the outside edge of the Historic Distric we were a quick drive to where ever we wanted to go. The hosts lived next door and were very gracious and we enjoyed learning about the history of the house from them. The great maps of the area, brochures and recommended sites was appreciated. I highly recommend this house.
