We had a great weekend in Savannah and the location of the rental was perfect for exploring the historic district on foot! The apt is well equipped, the kitchen has all you need to prepare food...Ac and heating works well. The bed was comfy and it was quiet during the nights. Its a good place to explore Savannah if you are out and about all day long...but what we didn't like...the "Garden apartment" term is a bit misleading, since its actually a basement apt with very little light getting in...there is no ventilation in the bathroom and the windows don't have insect screens...I'd give it a 6.5/10, mainly for the location...it felt safe walking around during the evenings! We are glad you loved the location and we are sorry the rental fell short of your expectations in other areas. Garden Apartments are the term commonly used for the ground level living areas of the older historic homes here in Savannah, but we can see how guests from other areas may refer to the same space as a basement. This rental is on the ground-level with windows allowing natural light into most of the rooms, but we'll be sure to look at adding more lighting if needed. Thanks for letting us know about the insect screens...that's the first time in a long time those windows have been opened and we'll be sure to get screens added now.
It is in a very safe area with Forsyth Park one block away, as well as downtown's only grocery store....so plenty of pedestrian activity.

We stayed here for almost 3 months as we were preparing to leave the country. We found the apartment to be extremely comfortable, nice king size bed, spacious living room all being very nicely appointed as well as the kitchen. The best part of all was the location. You can walk any where you want including the grocery store, just a. Block to Forsyth park. Only caution is watch the street sweeping signs when you park!
