Joya (gem in Spanish) is truly a gem among the few condominium homes in Sayulita. Bright and breezy, Joya is a picture perfect two bedroom, two bath, fully air-conditioned condo. It is located in Los Almendros, a small complex comprised of 26 individually owned homes nested within five beautiful buildings that surround the largest pool in Sayulita.

Known for its peace and quiet, our near North side location is ideal - a block and a half from the beach and just six blocks from Sayulita’s central plaza. It's a quick, flat, level walk to everything and no car is needed, unless you'd like to leave Sayulita for some strange reason. And wi...thin Los Almedros, Joya has several plusses. Joya is located on the second floor of the building closest to the ocean. You can catch a glimpse of the Pacific over the palm trees, but even better, you often get the great ocean breezes and can hear the sound of the sea at night. Great for pleasant sleeping!

Joya in Sayulita is also the closest building to the entrance and with the elevator that runs straight down to the garage, Joya is very convenient for carrying up baggage and groceries. It's a snap. But most importantly, we've made an effort for Joya to be comfortable and luxurious. From the native handcrafted furniture and decor, to the well appointed stainless steel kitchen (we love cooking), to the high quality bedding, Joya is comfortable, easy living, and completely air conditioned. In addition, with each rental, we provide efficient daily housekeeping (except Sundays.) if you prefer to not be bothered, just let us know.

The pool is worth a special mention. The architect's intent was to design "the best pool in Sayulita". We probably haven't seen them all, but we're thinking he succeeded. Designed for beauty, lap swimming, and relaxing, the unique design is perfect for kids as well. There are four sections to the pool. A large area for swimming, a large 1 foot deep area for lounging (with or without a beach chair), a childs section, and a large section with bench seating and massage jets. The pool is surrounded by great lounge chairs and tables for dining. A large shady palapa area is also adjacent - great for shady reading, napping, dining, game playing, and such. Joya has a peaceful, relaxing feel we hope you can see in the pictures. With our two outdoor palapa roofed decks (great napping), three bancas (sofas) for relaxing, new beach chairs and umbrellas, and a concierge service to help with anything we haven’t thought of, you’ve come to the right place.

“We had a wonderful relaxing week in this condo. I really loved being able to see the ocean and the sunsets from the living room and the front patio. We swam in the pool every day, big enough to get in a few laps. The beach is just a short walk away and beach towels were provided. You can buy FRESH tortillas every day from the little stores, fresh oranges for juice, papayas and mangos ripe off the tree, and all the guacamole fixings you could dream of. There is a shrimp guy that comes around in a truck and fresh fish in the market. Of course, there are also excellent restaurants of all types, both right around the corner and in town, just a few blocks away. We didn't have a car, we just walked around. The condo has everything you need. Bedrooms and baths are charmingly appointed and big enough to breathe in, the daily maid service is excellent. Best of all for us was napping on the banquettes in the living room and patio in the tropical breazes, checking out the local birds and plants, reading and doing nothing. Additional Location Information

40 minutes North of Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita is a charming, authentic fishing and beach village. Palapa covered houses are nested in the gentle hills down to a town square filled with great restaurants and shopping. The beach is beautiful and wonderful for walking, swimming, and surfing. Boat outings are available for fishing, whale watching, and snorkeling. But best of all, the people are terrific.

  That's what we love about Sayulita, it's an easy place to be. We've been there 3 times and have stayed in Joya two of those times. The condo is comfortable, well equipped and in a great location. Very easy to walk to town, the beach and has great amenities in the condo itself. The pool is very nice and offers a nice alternative to the beach if you want a change. The staff at the facility are helpful and can answer questions, call taxis, or offer directions. We have never needed a car once in Sayulita, have been able to walk everywhere we wanted to go or taken a taxi for an adventure. We love the atmosphere in town, the amount of Mexicans who vacation here, the street food, the locals, the beach and the lack of commercialization. If you are looking for parasailing, and a crazy Mexico party scene, go to PV instead!

  My husband and I really enjoyed our time in this condo in Sayulita. There was plenty of space, the bed was very comfortable, the airconditioning was easy and perfect. The kitchen was well-appointed. There was a great television. Everything was immaculate when we arrived. The grounds were well-kept. The pool was clean and fun to swim in. The staff was friendly and helpful. The condo was within easy and safe walking distance into the charming village of Sayulita. I would definitely return to stay here the next time I travel to the West Coast of Mexico.Thank you, Michael and angela for this fabulous retreat place!
