Casa Vela is located on the quiet North End of Sayulita on a quaint street of beautiful homes overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean. We are less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and 12 minute walk to the town center along the beach or paved road. The north end beach is the least crowded and cleanest in Sayulita, perfect for relaxing, playing, and swimming. Casa Vela has two parking spaces available and, while not necessary, a golf cart rental is a great addition to your stay for easy trips to and from town! Transportation from the airport can be arranged at your request as well.

We just returned from Casa Vela and had an absolutely fantastic stay! The house is beautiful, but more than that it is a visual experience at every turn. Add to that, the positive feelings and happiness that seems to resonate with every person you meet in Sayulita makes this a town you could stay at for a very long time. We had a couple of simple issues when we arrived at the house which were taken care of immediately by Mitch Roman, the property manager. He was available whenever needed and wonderful to deal with. We had two rental cars and rented 2 electric golf carts from Pacific. Highly recommend the golf carts. We never used the cars. Also we had Meli (recommended by Cassie Gann, the owner) cook breakfast every day for us and the food was outstanding!! She will bring all the groceries so you don't have to do a thing, and is available for lunches and dinners also. She also has a son Israel that teaches surfing. We had 7 take lessons from him and his assistant Jose and everyone got up easily. Highly recommend Israel and Jose! I don't know what else to say other than this place is beautiful, welcoming, comfortable and a joy at every turn. Sayulita is a special place, and you will not be disappointed with Casa Vela.

We stayed at Casa Vela to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary, and invited a few of our dearest friends. The house is even prettier than the photos. The attention to detail and really nice artwork and decor were very much appreciated and not common in most vacation rentals. We loved the special touches! The open living room is really amazing. The view is spectacular. We did not want to leave! The house even comes with an optional "vacation kitty", Queso, who we just adored. The house staff was very accomodating, espeically Sylvia and Marta who came for housekeeping everyother day. Jose was really nice as well. Sayulita is such a refreshing difference from typical resort towns. More village like, with truly pretty and unpopulated beaches. The town is charming. Our favorite restuarant was O's, which is a little hard to find (at the South end of the beach ) but a really wonderful place both with food and ambience. We also liked Don Pedros. For any one who can't have gluten (which unfortunately is me) both of these restuarants were both knowledgable and accomodating. Shopping in Sayulita is really fun, since there are no major stores which makes grocery shopping kind of like a treasure hunt, which we loved! Also, alot of cute orignial shops. On a side note, we took a trip to San Pablo to visit Costa azul where we stayed many many years ago.. very run down. It was dissapointing to see what's happened to this place (not worth a visit). You will love Casa Vela and not want to ever come home!!

I have had the pleasure of staying at Casa Vela at least six times...and I wouldn't choose anywhere else. Just a few more visits and I will be able to boast about staying in every single room! Each one is so unique, comfortable and authenticly decorated, each with it's own entrance, outdoor space, exotic outdoor shower and the most amazing views.
I have attended a wedding at Casa Vela...what a beautiful venue! I also had the pleasure of hosting my daughters rehearsal dinner at Casa Vela last June. Family and guests were equally impressed by the unique design and authentic decor. The owners were so helpful with making sure we had all the right/best connections, from wedding coordinator to car rental. We couldn't have done it without them! The views from this home (every room) are absolutely incredible. It is just a short walk to the beach and town, although, I have taken a liking to renting golf carts for our adventures away from the house! With each visit, it seems the adventures are less and the relaxing around one of the two beautiful pools has become my number one priority! If you are planning a trip to Mexico...Make it Sayulita and Casa Vela...You won't be dissapointed! -

This home is simply your own little piece of Paradise! The attention to detail is amazing...with beautiful and authentic mexican decor that makes the home feel comfortable and inviting. The open living room with the infinity pool that overlooks the breathtaking views of Sayulita and the beautiful ocean will take your breath away! Watching the Sayulita sunset from that location is simply an experience you will not forget. I have stayed in Casa Vela several times, enough to have had the chance to stay in every room and I will say that I can't pick a favorite, I love them all equally. Nothing beats waking up in the morning to the stunning views from each room! The bottom level has a stunning lawn area with lush flowers, a dipping pool and a bbq/bar area. Perfect for enjoying the sun, relaxing, or entertaining friends for dinner or a wedding, which is what I did and it was perfect! Casa Vela is a place you will love and will want to come back to again and again!

Words can't describe how beautiful and spacious this home is. We were blown away by the views of Sayulita, and equally pleased with the features in Casa Vela. Our group of 12 had so much room and privacy since the bedrooms are laid out perfectly. We can't say enough about the property and the attention to detail in every corner. Cassie was amazing with planning and check in and her staff was very courteous. We were tucked high on a hill but close to town...we love Casa Vela :)

Casa Vela is one of the most amazing vacation rentals we have ever stayed in, so much so we have stayed there three times! With unobstructed, breathtaking 180 degree views of the ocean and town, you will never want to leave. The design, layout and attention to detail are unmatched. The villa is kept in excellent condition, is super clean and has all the comforts of home (including a pool table). This is a perfect vacation getaway spot. We cannot wait to go back!

We rented this villa for our wedding and it was perfect! We had a mix of ages with family/friends and everyone had a blast. It was great for group meals and yet when you wanted to escape to your room for peace and quiet you could. The pools are relaxing, bedrooms are spacious, kitchen has everything you could need and the view was killer!! We have such great memories and were so blessed to have Mike and Cassie's kind help and advice. They and their staff were so accomadating and warm. We can't wait to return!! Thanks again for everything!

This special vacation home is like none other you have ever seen. When you walk into the front door you know you have arrived in Paradise. The authentic Mexican decor with great attention to detail and the spectacular ocean view that spills over the infinity pool in your open living room will take your breath away. The kitchen was well equipped to cook or bake anything. It also had a gas barbeque just off the wonderful dining area as well as in the lower garden and 2nd pool area. The grounds were all in flower and just spectacular. Every one on our party thought they had the best room and view in the house. This ocean view home is a short walk to a secluded beach and a 10 minute walk in to town. We were so happy that our driver from the airport suggested we shop at this huge grocery store just outside of P.V. We stocked up on all the food and drink we would need for our stay so once we arrived we were ready for margarita time! One night we had an authentic Mexican meal prepared for us at the house, other evenings we walked to town for dinner or barbequed the fresh fish we purchased off the back of a fisherman's pickup truck. Sayulita is the perfect get away place. Life slows down here. The people in this community are so friendly and helpful. Our stay at Casa Vela was indeed peaceful,serene and magical.
