The vacation apartment Casa Orfeo overlooks the town of Ravello with its famous Villa Cimbrone and the sea.
It is the perfect hideaway spot for those who are looking for peace and privacy during their holidays, but at the same time do not wish to be totally isolated. Friendly owners live in another house just up the hill and are on hand if guests require them. At night too while dining al fresco it is a delightful scene when the lights of the town twinkle in the distance.

Casa Orfeo is situated high on one of the spectacular hills of Scala. Shops and restaurant are about 1 Km. away.
The bus stop is just 50 m. away and from here the SITA Bus line goes to Ravello - 2 Km. and Amalfi - 7 Km.
From Amalfi SITA buses connect all the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento Coast towns, also ferry boat to Capri Positano and Sorrento.
If you are fond of hiking, from this property there are steps all the way down to Atrani or Amalfi, with amazing views.
Pompeii, Herculaneum and Paestum are easily within reach.

This was a lovely apartment with a lovely spacious terrace which looked out onto a fabulous view of the amalfi Coast, Ravello and the Villa Cimbrone. On arrival we were met by the holiday company representative who carefully explained everything we needed to know for our stay. The apartment was spacious and well equipped although a hair dryer would be a useful addition! The double bedroom was lovely with doors opening out into the terrace - you could sit up in bed looking out onto the beautiful view. A double mattress would have been more comfortable than two singles on the bed but this was a minor consideration. The walk up and down the 80 or so steps to the apartment and half-mile walk into the village of Scala kept us fit! We did not hire a car but had no trouble getting around as the buses are cheap and fairly frequent. We walked into the pretty little town of Ravello a couple of times with no problems. The village of Scala is a lovely little place; it is not touristy but has a several shops which will provide for most of your needs and a nice little cafe in the square with a couple of nice places to eat. We ate in Ristorante de Cavialieri a couple of times; the food was lovely and the service very good. The local people are very friendly. The whole area is very beautiful and the scenery is breathtaking. We are definitely going back to this lovely place. We loved everything about it.
