Our accommodation is ideal for both summer rental and spring and autumn in Tuscany.
To enrich your historical and cultural knowledge you need only travel a few miles to discover many art treasures as well as the remains of an ancient way of life: the fascinating Archaeological Park “Città del Tufo”, with its burial ground, and the famous Vie Cave, a striking road network dug into the rock by the Etruscans, Pitigliano, Sovana, Sorano, are must-visit places, the medieval town of Massa Marittima, and the small islands of the Tuscan Archipelago are all within easy reach.
Saturnia with its thermal baths is famous for the wellbeing of the body, but the choices are varied: two excellent spas, Calidario and Venturina, are located just 20 minutes drive away. Just a little further afield are the thermal baths of Petriolo and Bagni Vignone.
Poggio La Croce is ideal for guests who wish to relax in the quiet countryside, as well as vacationers who are looking to explore Tuscany, its art and products, and also those who would prefer a more active holiday. Golf lovers have easily access to the nearby 18-hole golf course at Golf Club Toscana, which is considered one of the top golf courses in the country.
You can decide whether to go for long walks along the paths leading through the woods in the company of your dogs (at Poggio la Croce they are welcome), or trekking and hiking, or choose to mountain bike along the dirt roads of the park. For those who enjoy horseback riding, the Natural Park of Maremma is the ideal place. Just 10 minutes from your holiday apartment you will find the beaches of Follonica, free and well equipped. There you can take courses in kitesurfing, windsurfing, boat trips and much more.
