This comfortably furnished vacation apartment on the outskirts of Schluchsee in the southern Black Forest accommodates up to five people. All the requisite comfort for demanding guests. Located on the third floor, it has a floor space of 90 sq.m.

The apartment consists of two two-person bedrooms, one bedroom for a single person, a spacious living/dining room with cable TV, telephone (free calls within German landline network), free Wi-Fi internet access, open hearth, fully equipped kitchen area, and bathroom with bathtub, shower and toilet. Oriented towards the South with balcony offering free view to lake, forest, and meadows.

The apartment received the highest classification of four stars from the German Hotel and Restaurant Association (DEHOGA).

Peak / off season as follows:

* Peak season from May 15 to October 31 and from December 15 to February 29

* Off season from March 1 to May 14 and from November 1 to December 14

Tourist Tax:

* Between six and sixteen years of age: EUR 0.80 per person per day.

* From sixteen years on: EUR 2.50 per person per day

Bed linens are provided and beds already made on arrival. Extra pillows or wool blankets can, on request, be provided. Towels and dish towels are also provided and changed weekly. Check-in from 1 p.m., check-out until 9 a.m.; arrival/departure is typically on Saturday. Minimum stay one week.

Parking spot for those arriving by car is available, as is shuttle service for those traveling to Schluchsee train station by rail. Please tell us when you’ll arrive, especially if coming by train (but it would be nice to know also from those who will come by car).

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. Bread roll service for the breakfast is available.

There is a nice spot with seating and barbecue in the backyard. For mountainbike tours, one ladies’ and two men’s bikes are available for EUR 6 per bike and day. Tennis players can rent a court or get a guest membership for EUR 20 per person per week. Please inquire about lessons.

Washing machine and dryer are available in the house (for shared use)

Children’s cot available for EUR 5 per day.

This unit is located conveniently near Black Forest Airport. From Black Forest Airport the distance to the unit at Untere RingstraĂźe 26, 79859 Schluchsee is about 98 km (61.2 miles), approximately a 1 hour 17 minutes drive by car. In addition, there are good public transportation options available for Schluchsee, in case you don't want to rent a car. At the top of this page is also a map with the exact location of the object.

Our house is on the southern edge of the Black Forest city Schluchsee, in very quiet surroundings. Not more than a quarter of an hour will get you to the city center or the lake.

Free internet access (WLAN) is provided; phone calls to German landlines are free as well.
A car parking spot at the house is available. If you come by train, we will gladly pick you up from the train station; just tell us your planned arrival time. Either way, we would be grateful if you could tell us when you plan on arriving.
Sorry, but pets are not allowed. Bread roll delivery service for breakfast is available.
The garden offers nice seating and a barbecue; one women’s and two men’s mountain bikes are available for rent (for EUR 6 per bike per day). Cheap tennis court rent or guest memberships (EUR 20/person/day) are available for fans of that sport; training lessons can also be organized.

We recommend getting insurance against cancellation. Unfortunately, if you cancel your stay or part of it and we cannot rent out the pre-booked apartment on short notice, we will have to charge you for 80% of the rental price.
Hiking and Nordic Walking in Schluchsee in the Black Forest
Our house is a great starting point for walks and hikes on well-marked trails through the southern Black Forest.
The trail network around Schluchsee is among the most beautiful in all of Germany; its pine forests and mountain meadows without steep ascents are ideal for enjoyable tours.
The Wutachschlucht gorge is especially highly recommended. It has been a nature reserve already since 1939, is rich in rare plants and animals and an impressive landscape, to boot.
The Nordic Walking center Schluchsee offers guidance, courses, and three marked Nordic Walking tours of different difficulty with a total length of 25 km. Equipment is provided by us.
Mountainbike tours in Schluchsee
The area around our town is also one of the most beautiful places for mountain biking, but also offers paths well-suited for exploring the surroundings on a normal bike.
Some 1000 km of bike and mountain bike tracks await the visitor to the southern Black Forest. They make it possible to bike over many mountains, all the way to the Rhine valley or Lake Geneva and back, and typically lead back to their starting points.
Many of the tours can be started right at our house, with no need to use roads heavily frequented by cars. Bikes are available to rent, including from us.
Water Sports in Schluchsee
The Schluchsee lake, with 7 km length, is the biggest lake in the Black Forest and offers many possibilities for water sports, from sailing to swimming. Only motor boats are not allowed due to safety and environmental concerns – the lake is also one of the cleanest in Germany.
The lakeshore is completely open, without buildings and private properties.
Tennis in Schluchsee
The two clay courts of the Tennis Club Schluchsee are close by and can be used cheaply while staying with us, either hourly or through a guest membership of only EUR 20 per person and week. For lessons, just ask us.
Badeparadies Schwarzwald swimming fun in the Black Forest
A quarter hour by train (free with your guest card) or car will get you to the Badeparadies.
Winter in Schluchsee
The fall and winter days in Schluchsee are fog-free and offer ideal conditions for winter hikes, cross-country and alpine skiing.
Free Bus and Railway Travel:
Whether for a city walk in Freiburg, a visit to the Europapark in Rust, an excursion to the wine growing area of the Markgräflerland at the Kaiserstuhl or a trip to another of the many interesting sights in the area covered, all the way to the Swiss and French borders, you will have free travel on bus and train while staying as our guest.
Please note that ICE, EC and IC lines as well as mountain trains are not included.
