This detached cottage is in a coastal location near to Schull in County Cork and can sleep eight people in four bedrooms. Even Tide is a detached cottage in a coastal location just two miles from Schull in County Cork. The cottage has four bedrooms (two doubles - one with an ensuite, one family room and a single) and a family bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath, which makes it suitable for eight people. The rest of the accommodation is made up of a fitted kitchen with a dining area, a sitting room with a woodburner and a conservatory - also with a woodburner. To the outside of the cottage is off road parking for six cars, a garden with outdoor furn...iture, a barbecue and a trampoline. Beautifully decorated throughout and with stunning sea views, Even Tide is a high quality holiday cottage in a wonderful location.

Region: County Cork is full of truly breathtaking natural beauty. With unspoilt beaches, historic castles, and modern visitor attractions, there’s plenty for all ages to absorb and there is always plenty to see and do in County Cork.

Town: The village of Schull is located in the South West of County Cork, between Ballydehob and Goleen. It offers a number of shops, Irish pubs, and fine restaurants. There is a harbour which is home to a number of boat operators offering fishing trips, wildlife excursions and sightseeing voyages, as well as a sailing club and ferries to nearby islands. There are fine beaches to be enjoyed, such as Barleycove with its golden sands and turquoise waters, and the visitor centre and cliff walks of the Mizen Head, at the very tip of the peninsula are well worth a visit.Read more

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  I put a lot of effort in to researching a place for a week's holiday with my husband, two sets of parents and various hangers on. I thought the photos on the internet showed a clean, modern house with well proportioned rooms and a nice view but we were all absolutely blown away from the moment we entered the hall of the house.
  
  This is a home. Built by the owners for themselves and their family, they let it during the summer months. As a result, Even Tide is far superior to your average holiday let. Everything from the tiling in the hallway to the quality and layout of the kitchen and surround sound in the living room shows you're staying in someone's home. And the home is brand spanking new. There are no drafts anywhere. The house, including the bathrooms, is spotless. There are books and Dvds in the living room and nearly every thing you could wish for in the kitchen including all sorts of cooking equipment I never expected to find in a rental. The only think lacking was a set of sharp knives.
  All in all, it was a joy to stay at Even Tide. My parents and sisters were so impressed they've suggested going back again next year. To cap it off the owners are lovely friendly people who genuinely care that you have a comfortable stay and enjoy West Cork.
  
  The house would be completely perfect if we could pick it up and move it slightly closer to Schull so the pub was just a walk away but the 5 minute drive was a small price to pay for the view of the Fastnet lighthouse from our bedroom window.
