S.PetersburgThis country house is an ideal vacation spot.

Excellent service and maximal comfort! The cosy house is full of stylish beautiful things. From the terrace an amazing landscape will open before you. The house is located very conveniently: 10 minutes of driving and you are on a small excellent beach. Besides there are many interesting places capable to satisfy different tastes. They are situated close enough. As for me the best thing was silence and air which I would like to breathe endlessly!

If you want to pretend that you are a native Sicilian, this is it.
We stayed here for four nights with our 11 month old baby boy and absolutely loved it!
You can tell that the owner stays here himself sometimes as the villa caters to all your needs. It even has a second kitchen outside on the terrace and the views are amazing.
Would love to come back to "our Sicilian home".

Good location from which to do day trips around the West of Sicily.
Great local fruit, butcher, grocery store and restaurants in Scopello.
Villa is small but is one of the few available that suits only 2 couples
This is worth booking if only to meet Giuseppe, a delightful and very entertaining character. -

montrealBest place to stay in Scopello
Left on 07/23/2012 for a stay in July 2012
This was by far the best place we stayed at during our 3 weeks in Sicily. The views are breathtaking and the house was clean, comfortable and very private. Giuseppe was a perfect host and a wealth of information on what to see in the area. The generous and delicious lunch he left us fed us for many days. Unlike some self-catering apartments - everything was provided - including beach towels and umbrellas. My kids loved the foosball table and played on it for hours. The location and setting are unbeatable!

Recently returned with my wife and 2 daughters from a great visit to Sicily, and certainly a highlight was our stay was at the house - outstanding views, great welcome meal, and a convenient location to easily visit western Sicily. Guiseppe's hospitality must be experienced -in addition to offering key local insights into the area, after our stay he even met us outside of Palermo and guided us safely downtown to our next hotel - absolutely unexpected, and absolutely appreciated!

This place was spectacular! The villa is very tastefully designed and appointed and is located on the side of the hill overlooking Scopello. It is an easy 5 minute drive to the town or the beach. The view from the terrace is spectacular and the location is perfect as it takes advantage of the sea breeze and is cooler than the town or plain below which can bake. The outside spaces are bucolic and great for lounging, reading etc... The gardens are full of beautiful bouganvillea and flowers. As for Giuseppe he is the host with the mostest. he greeted us with a spectacular lunch of Sicilian delicacies that truth be told lasted us several meals and he was readily available to give us tips on beaches, restaurants, day trips etc... This is definitely the best vacation house we have ever rented. I am Italian and can tell you this was truly favoloso!! Enjoy.

BrightonA welcome break
Left on 06/10/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We have just returned from our first family holiday with our 10 month old daughter and found Giuseppe's beautiful home the ideal place to have spent our time. The views from the villa are breathtaking, the house itself is comfortable and full of amenities at our disposable, making for a very easy and relaxing stay. The outside area means you spend most of your time outdoors, enjoying the kitchen on the terrace or as we did the enourmous hammock overlooking the gulf...perfection! Our daughter is not yet on the move, that may have caused a problem if she was as their was lots for her to grab or perhaps fall from, but for a family with a baby i could not recommend this enough. Giuseppe was kind enough to loan us his sisters travel cot and highchair...as i said, making our life very easy and our stay so relaxing. Finally, Giuseppe is very welcoming and supplies a fantastic welcome lunch which kept us going for a few days! Loved this place and loved the island.

To go on holiday with a 10 months old baby from the parents always requires special attention, no house is safe for very young baby, even those family house may create pitfalls, there are no safe places for baby a few months, except that you do not let them inside the cradle , it is the parents' attention that makes it safer,
I also welcome all families with infants, although this may reserve some surprises, due to breakages of crockery or spots in the floors tiles, porous , of which I do not get notified immediately and I discover later, (normally I don't require security deposit for breakage) or exterior lights on even during the day, but they are the risks involved when everything is included in the rental price.
However, I thank my Customer for this positive review,

Atlanta, Georgia, USAA truly remarkable villa and unsurpassed hospitality!
Left on 05/22/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Our (2 couples) stay at Villa Cecilia in Scopello was the absolute highlight of our Sicilian vacation. The photos of the setting do not do justice to the breathtaking location looking over the coastline at Scopello. We were greeted by Giuseppe at the beach and then taken up into the hills to the villa. He had an incredible lunch waiting for us consisting of local Sicilian delicacies and Sicilian wines.
Giuseppe was a professional dancer and his decoration of the villa is very tastefully and artistically done. There are two separate outdoor living areas for meals or just sitting with books and wine. Both share the stunning view which, again, is beyond compare.
The two bedrooms (queen-size bed in one and two singles in the other) were very comfortable. The kitchen is completely stocked with everything you need to prepare your own feast. Giuseppe offered the use of everything on his shelves, including his own homemade olive oil.
The villa was our base for 5 days of touring the northwest area of Sicily and we found ourselves racing home to the villa each day to have "quality villa time".
We would gladly return here again, both for the beauty of the villa and for Giuseppe's generous hospitality.
We have rented other wonderful villas in France and Italy and this is the best we've found.Response from giuseppe giuseppe - 05/23/2012

We had an exceptional 8 day stay at Villa Cecilia in March. If you are looking for a place to stay in Scopello then stop right now and book this one! I can't say enough fabulous things about the owner, Guiseppe. Not only was it very easy to communicate with him prior to our arrival with his prompt email replies, but he waited for us to get in even though we arrived at 11pm! He had the fireplace going with heaps of delectable Sicilian treats waiting for us when we got there. It is easy to tell right away just how much he cares about his guests and their stay. I have never come across a more gracious host! He even met us for a day of sightseeing in Palermo and was a wealth of knowledge.
Not only is the Northwestern tip of Sicily stunning vista wise, but it is a less visited area, which is part of it's allure. We had amazing day trips from the Villa all over the place and were always so pleased to be returning to such a beautiful home with breathtaking views. The pictures truly don't do Guiseppe's wonderful home justice! The options to sit outside and relax or take in the view are endless and the home is so well equipped. Guiseppe left us with a fully stocked kitchen, so we had outstanding dinners using the new stove inside as well as off of the grill outside. There is even a pizza oven!
The villa has two bedrooms which accommodate 4 people comfortably, and then there is room for at least another 3 in the living room area. You can tell just how much love has been put into this home. The beautiful decorations are carefully picked and truly create a wonderful atmosphere for a 'home away from home'. There is also a full bookcase with very informative books on Sicily as well as some leisure reads.
From the moment we arrived, we immediately started planning our return trip! Villa Cecilia is an absolute must for anyone traveling to Scopello. A 10/10 vacation! Thank you Guiseppe! -

What a wonderful place Scopello is and to spend it in Villa Cecilia was outstanding. Giuseppi was just charming and so helpful and his Welcome Lunch was fantastic. The Villa is cozy and has lots of "kooks and crannies" to hole up into and relax while enjoying the beautiful 180 degree Sea. The outdoor kitchen was a treat as we put into play what we had learned from cooking schools in Taormina the week earlier, and made pizza's. The villa was stocked with everything you could possibly want or need. If you are thinking of traveling to this part of Sicily, this is a perfect location. It's close to Segesta, Enrice, Trapani, Sambuca (the Planeta Winery)etc. The tranquility at the Villa was so restful after a long day of sightseeing. Only thing lacking was a fan...but we lived! Thanks for a very memorable time Giuseppi.

Very nice house in a truly unique, the photos do not do justice. From the house there is a really amazing view over the Gulf of Castellammare, the Bay of Guidaloca, Faraglioni and the Village of Scopello. The house is independent, there are no other houses close, so privacy is respected and is very quiet, no noise except the sound of birds.Beautiful porchs with sun terraces to form a typical beam with sea view, furnished with deck chairs and chaise-longue, beautiful kitchen outdoor, barbecue and a typical firewood oven . Inside house is very nice, in rustic- ethnic style ,well equipped. But the most thing that impressed us was the warmth of Joseph, on our arrival we found the table set for lunch with cous cous, eggplant and lots of typical Sicilian products, a true delight sweets. Very surprised by this warm welcome, even more so when Joseph told us that we could use all that was in and fridge at home: from the oil, milk and many other things, we ate there almost for two days and also for any issue is always present, in short, a great experience that will surely repeat."
