Located near Silverton, OR in the East Willamette Valley wine country, “La Bastide” makes a perfect resting spot after a day of wine tasting. Cristened 'La Bastide' after the provincial French word for ‘country farmhouse’, this lovely Log Home sits on 30 woodland acres overlooking Domaine Margelle Vineyards. The cabin has been completely renovated with new kitchen and bathrooms. Featuring 3-bedrooms and two baths, it sleeps 6-8 comfortably. Arrangements can be made to access the lower level of the house which adds 2-bedrooms and 1.5 baths. (Additional fees apply.)

"La Bastide" is located in the foothills of the Cascades about a 15 minute drive from Silverton, OR. Silverton is the home of the Oregon Gardens and Silver Falls State Park. Besides being situated within easy access of the East Valley Wineries it is also close to Butte Creek Falls Hiking trails and Camp Dakota Zip Line experience. As part of Domaine Margelle a private wine tasting can be arranged.

It is possible to expand the number of bedrooms and baths to this rental. The lower level of the home can be rented in addition to the main house to add 2-bedrooms and 1.5 baths. We charge an additonal $125/night plus and additional one time cleaning fee of $50. A minimum 50% deposit is required to reserve the facility.

I recently held my wedding and stayed at La Bastide at Domaine Margelle Vineyards and it was absolutely beautiful. This is an outdoor ceremony and reception site. In addition, you have the ability to rent out La Bastide (on site cabin). We rented the cabin for the wedding weekend and our entire bridal party stayed with us. La Bastide was a great place to relax and enjoy the company of our friends and family. The cabin was beautifully furnished and impeccably kept. All our friends and family had so much fun and were in awe of its beauty. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and went off without a hitch thanks to vineyard owners Marci and Steve. I would highly recommend Domaine Margelle Vineyards for special events or a vacation getaway.

I have been visiting La Bastide with my extended family a couple times each year. It is a great adventure for the two small boys in the family! Whether it is the middle of summer when you can take full advantage of the beautiful grounds and recreation in the area, or a cold weekend in the winter cozied up to a roaring fire, we have always had an extremely nice time. The amenities are top notch.

La Bastide is a peaceful, tranquil repose surrounded by stone walls, pines and Domaine Margelle Vineyards across the road (where you may purchase a lovely Pinot for dinner).
The house is lovely, beautifully furnished and impeccably kept. We used the well-equipped kitchen for our family's Thanksgiving dinner as well as a New Year's dinner on another occasion. The living area has a beautiful stone fireplace that has a well stocked wood bin. It provides a warm glow on cold nights. The bedrooms are very comfortable. The grounds are lovely summer, fall, winter or spring.
This is a wonderful getaway any time of year and close to many interesting locales. And, did we mention the wine is great!
