We came here for what we thought was going to be a nice long 4 day weekend getaway. First let me say that the resort is beautiful, clean and has plenty to do just on site. The rooms! The rooms were amazing and beautifully designed and maintained and the beds were marvelous. The kitchen was completely cooking ready with all needed appliances and untensils which was perfect for us as we planned on being able to stay just on the grounds for a few days. ...a few days turned into the entire trip! It was so relaxing and enjoyable we never felt the need to leave, aside from getting food/groceries. Next time we will have to stay longer!

First of all, the offer is legitimate. It's a bit unsettling to pay one place and then get there and be told the reservation wasn't paid for. A receipt is a really nice thing! But it all worked out by the next day of our stay.
The units are very nice. They say not to turn down the aC below 73, which meant it was pretty warm at night, even with the window open. The facilities are nice, and the unit was spacious and quite (we were on the 3rd floor). Everything you ever need is in the unit. Location is great. You're close by car to great shopping and restaurants. It's easy to drive anywhere else. You can walk to the Marriott for drinks and a good breakfast. We liked First Watch for breakfast about a mile and 1/2 away.
We checked in late and the girl obviously didn't like her job. Abrupt and just did the minimum needed. The day staff was very gracious and helpful.
Four stars for being a very nice place to stay at a great price for two couples at this time of year. Not 5 stars as it was perfect and I can't give it 4 1/2.
I would definitely stay there again!! -

The price for our stay was very good but our overall experience made it even better overall. Everything was very clean and tidy in our room and the service staff was excellent, going out of their way to accommodate our needs, from providing extra towels to giving us some really great restaurant ideas. We are both active people so the fact that they have an on-site tennis court was awesome!

The Villa Mirage is surrounded by a beautiful landscape, I can guarantee you will never get tired of waking up to the surroundings while you are here! The rooms in the units are very spacious and wonderfully decorated. Jim, you were right, the kids loved the waterfall pool! This alone made the whole trip for them :)

My wife has a time share and we traded for a week @ the Four Seasons Resort @ Troon North. The property is always impeccable. The accommodations are always top notch. The staff can't be more helpful and friendly. Although I will say the food @ the new Proof restaurant was only ok, and all 4 Seasons pricing is definitely steep.

Like some of the reivews before say, it is a little difficult to find but if you have a GPS on your phone or a Garmin it'll take you right to it, and who doesnt have one of those these days? I loved this resort because it wasnt in the middle of several other resorts commercial buildings, etc and it surrounded by a beautiful landscape. It really adds to the overall look and feel of the place. The rooms were simply wonderful, the kids and I were very happy with how comfortable the beds they had were. The unit itself was like being in a condo and was so spacious all of us never once felt like we were in each others way, and that is important when you have two teenagers! It was also nice having such a large pool and the semi waterfall was really neat!

Jim's condo is centrally located. Has a great pool and near park area with
water spouts, geese and other birds. A little hot, but had a great time
visiting friends and area sights. Check out Sedona and the Grand Canyon.

Had a great stay at 20801 N. 90th Street, #170. This place is quiet yet close to everything you need. The condo is all on one level, no stairs, 3 bedroom with large kitchen and living room, 2 patios. There is a very nice private pool the next building over, short walk from the condo; and a larger pool 2 blocks away.
This area is easily accessible from PHX airport due to shuttle service to the door (supershuttle.com) costs $28 for one person, 2nd person $7 for a total of $35 a couple plus tip. Because the Marketplace area is only 2 short blocks away, you really don't need to rent a car at all; or rent for a day or two from one of the local car rental companies (they will come get you!)
We enjoyed three of the restaurants in the Marketplace, all very good. Large grocery store with a Starbucks that has a great wine selection.
Best part is that the owner of this property was great to work with. They have several great hints on what to do when you get to the condo, the condo is set up perfectly, and they promptly returned the deposit. This is a great location for the very active or barely active and everyone in between. -

First off, I don't know why it says Sedona on here, its not, its Scottsdale. My friends and I actually did end up going to Sedona on our trip back, but we stayed in Scottsdale to party most of the time.. tons of awesome clubs down there, great places to eat, I remember we ate at some Brazillian place, but I can't remember the name of it right now.
Anyway, this isn't a house or anything, its like a condo resort, altho when we "checked in" it kinda felt like a hotel (then again, I've never stayed at a resort before, so maybe their all like this).
After that tho the actual rooms were a crazy nice spread, and I thought it was going to be a ratsnest after paying so little. Glad I didn't stay at a actual hotel.Response from CHEAP Luxury Sedona Resort SAVE off retail rates - 04/11/2012

We booked this property through the "owner" - the one who posted this ad. He was very pleasant to deal with. Days later, he emailed to say that he hadn't confirmed the reservation in time, so it was already full. He had to move us to the Scottsdale Links instead. I should mention that by this time, he had already processed our credit card in full.
Weeks went by and we heard nothing from him, until about a week before we were leaving, when we realized that we needed a confirmation number for our reservation, which he said he would send. It wasn't until the day before we were scheduled to leave that he finally answered our call, to say that he accidentally forgot to confirm this reservation, and now everything was booked! He refunded us our money, but not at the same exchange rate as it was a month prior, so we actually lost more than $125.00 on the refund. Then, he said he'd try to find us something else, but I'm sure he was only looking for places where he could use his points. In the end, we stayed up late that night and finally found a place on our own (which cost alot more money!), since he did not seem to care that we had no where to stay and were leaving the next day!
We emailed to ask him to do the right thing and give us an additional refund for the exchange rate difference, since we lost money on his mistake, but he has stopped replying to our emails. He also said he would "send us something" as an apology, but it must have been lost in the mail! I would definitely not deal with him again, and would think twice about booking through Diamond resorts because of this awful, stressful experience.

This guest is right... they booked into "Spring Break (and Spring Training Baseball)" and the Resort over-sold... we immediately Refunded. They ended up a beautiful property next door (the Sheraton Desert Oasis). And we subsequently sent them a check for $125 (which is what they requested through "exchange rate loss") which I'm guessing we're the only owner in history to actually pay $125 (on top of a FULL REFUND) for a guest that we were unable to help. If you're reading this... considering staying with us... please understand that we've had 100's of families stay (and enjoy) having the BEST VACATIONS of their lives with us (over the past 5 years) and this is our FIRST (and ONLY) poor review... mistakes happen... and when they do... we RESPOND IMMEDIATELY. Not only did we REFUND the guest fully... we even paid an extra $125 to satisfy the concerns of a family that we didn't earn a penny on... My wife and I are vacationers (just like everyone reading this) - the reason we have 20 FIVE Star rating (and ONE poor review) is because we CARE about people's stay... and occasionally mistakes happen (and we take FULL responsibility) - please note, that after this review posted we've spoken with Shaun and assuaged their opinion and doubts of Diamond Resorts as well. Diamond Resorts has an amazingly HIGH standard and will do ANYTHING to exceed the expectations of their guests... We hope you'll actually feel BETTER about staying with us after reading this (entire) review. Thanks. By the way... even if you don't - North Scottsdale is an amazing area - and we're huge fans - no matter where you stay - you'll most likely have a wonderful experience - there is (doubtfully) a more wonderful place than Scottsdale Arizona (especially in North Scottsdale, up by our Resort and the Kierland Commons area) Cheers - Jim

Had a blast! Went to a gaming convention and stayed at the Scottsdale Villa Mirage (through FlipKey) - got a great deal and a great room. Only paid $127 a night for a One Bedroom Suite (that normally sells for $377 per night). The place was great. The pool was huge - and we had a full kitchen, living room, master bathroom with jacuzzi tub and full washer and dryer. They had new Flat Panel HD Tv's as well. Overall this place is awesome if you're going to Scottsdale (it's located right off the 101 too).
