I have a skewed review. I have rented about a dozen homes in Scottsdale over the last few years...you can take this review to the bank! I happened to take the place for a bike week vacation. Upon arrival the owners suv was parked in the garage.. I told the renting agent that he could find a way to move it or I would, we had 5 Harleys that needed a nest.. He was reluctant to admit that he could move it, lack of keys and all, but by the time we made it back that evening it was parked outside. The home is comfortable, the backyard is great, the location is perfect. The pool is not heated, the spa does not work well and overall the place is dated. If you are on a "hang out at the house" kind of vacation.. I would not recommend it.. if you are using it as a "crash pad" and like to eat out every day/night and party elsewhere.. then it's a great choice.

We had an awesome stay at Casa Kierland. We loved the fact that we could park our RV on the property and still have room to park our car.
The house was well kept and we had everything we needed including internet which is important for my husband to have. We loved the pool which was kept very clean, and the outdoor kitchen. It was close to all site seeing ( things we wanted to do) and it was near some great shopping areas.
The only issue we had (the internet) was dealt quickly and professionally. Other than that we had a very relaxing vacation.
Myles owner of Latitude 8 was extremely helpful and was on the ball whenever we had questions or an issue... overall we loved this place and will be coming back when we decide to vacation in arizona again. -

The house was sufficient, very clean and well put together for it's age and the location was great. Latitude 8 Vacation Rentals has not been a pleasant experience to deal with. They have been unprofessional and customer service appears not to be a priority. It took over two weeks to receive our damage deposit back and the full amount was not returned and there was no explanation or discussion as to why. Very disappointing but luckily there are many rental/property management companies in the Phoenix area.

Great place but home did not have adequate supplies or amenities for someone wanting to cook or clean while they stayed here. The garage man-door that came into the home was severley damaged and left us feeling a little unsafe as we could not lock that door due to its damage. The washing machine smelled terrible and although it was new was improperly maintained. Finally, the location was quite loud (as it is situated by a major roadway) which was not explained when we inquired about this property. It should have been disclosed. That being said the rep we talked to was helpful and enjoyable to deal with.

The house is great! all the amenities you need to have a great time!!!

wait to rent it during the summer!!!

Our group consisting of six adults stayed at Casa Kierland in late October and the home was exactly what we were looking for. The pool (with slide) was fun and the spa and outdoor fire pit was wonderful in the evening. The home is very well decorated, clean and was very enjoyable from the moment we walked in the door. Latitude 8 and the property manager were flexible and a pleasure to work with.

house was good, no hot water in the guest side was a little inconvenient. since there were only two couples so it was not a huge deal.
Service was excellent, Myles York was very helpful and responsive.
Location was great, close to just about everything we needed.
Location was the thing I liked best, thing I liked least was the pool and hot tub, not used to the propane system, my hot tub is hot all the time. The pool was cold and it slipped by me when we booked that it was not heated.Response from Latitude 8 Vacation Rentals, LLC - 10/29/2009

Thanks for the good review. We were notified of the hot water issue at the end of the stay, and have recently installed a brand new water heater. We sincerely apologize for that inconvenience. We try our best to handle any problem swiftly and not to bother our guests. The pool is able to be heated in the winter now, but at an additional charge to pay for the gas. The hot tub can be used at your convenience, and takes about 15-20 minutes to heat to the desired temparature. Again, thanks for the good review, and we hope to see you in Scottsdale again soon.
