Oxford EnglandPerfect stay
Left on 04/29/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We spent a fantastic week in the Casita. Linda and Jerome were the perfect hosts. They helped when my husbands back went, sorting appointment for treatment, painkillers, etc. Fresh grapefruit from their tree - just beautiful. The Casita itself is very well stocked, with many supplies. Very serene to stay there, watching all the wildlife. It was just a joy to be there and we were only sorry that it wasn't for longer. Next time we shall make sure we allow more time. You could not ask for any more.
We shall definitely keep in touch and would recommend to anyone. You will not be disappointed. -

DenverFabulous desert getaway

If you like sunsets and sunrises and the calls of desert birds, this is the place. The location is close to golf courses, shopping, many resturants and hiking and biking trails. The casita is well maintained and the kitchen is completely stocked, if you wish to have guests or barbeque for yourself. Linda and Jerome make their guests feel like family. My husband and I stayed for seven nights and hated to leave; we will be back.

Portland, ORGetting to know the Sonoran desert
Left on 04/15/2013 for a stay in February 2013
My wife and I spent about 2 months at the casita January through March 2013.
We were pleasantly surprised to find the casita is somewhat isolated from the owners' home, so you feel you have your privacy. The owners did all that was needed to make our stay comfortable and pleasant, and were personable. It was a pleasure to get to know them.
We found we were in a beautiful part of the Sonoran desert, with many walking trails nearby, as well as areas with mountain biking trails. We spent a fair amount of time walking and biking, and found there really is a lot to learn about the desert if you have some curiosity. The wildlife was enjoyable, with birds waking us in the mornings, rabbits feeding around the casita, occasional coyote sitings, a screech owl who sometimes stayed in the saguaro by the casita, and a onetime spotting of a bobcat.
At times we just borrowed a book from the casita library and relaxed on the sunlit patio of the casita.
For those who need more entertainment, Scottsdale has a lot going on that time of the year--Barrett-Jackson car auction, Phoenix PGa tournament, major league spring training, lots of golf courses, many fine restaurants, many areas to explore, etc. If you can't find something to do here, I'm sorry...
If you want to really get to know the desert, or just decompress, this is a great place to do it!

We spent a fantastic week in Jerome and Linda's casita. The house is excellent in terms of location, setting, decore and equipment and many thoughtful touches that added to our enjoyment. We'll always treasure our time living in the casita and the time spent with the owners. One of the nicest places we've stayed!

Dana Point, CADesert symphony of silence

The pictures don't begin to convey the warm and cozy atmosphere of this little getaway. Nor can it describe the relaxation created by waking up to the gentle sounds of the desert. After a day or two, you can't help but unwind. The furnishings and color scheme are soothing, the lanai is a wonderful place to sit and soak in the beauty of the desert, and at night, you've never seen so many stars.
If you are looking for a place to relax, this is a real find, and the owners could not be more accommodating.
