      Boone Terre Spring Break

Left on 04/03/2013 for a stay in March 2013

The house overall was very nice and tastefully decorated. The Beach butler had everything we needed food and beverage related once we arrived. But,the weather was cold and we were told the pool heater would be turned on for $75 per day for our kids to play but unfortunately the management co could not get the heater working. Then to make matters slightly worse the main Tv's in the 2 living rooms would not work properly ( a problem when you have a 2 and 4 year old) and virtually none of the remotes had batteries. The whole home audio ipod hook up would also be very nice if it worked. Downstairs it works in the living room but not the other rooms and upstairs it is just the opposite. Our Chef (Table Five... highly recommend) had a difficult time getting consistant hot water from the upstairs kitchen. Even though it was cold the direct sun caused the upstairs to get pretty hot and the aC would not cool. We would have left the doors open which would have helped but were worried about violating the terms regarding extended time for doors being left open so we stayed downstairs during the day. Once it cooled off enough at night we then had to sleep upstairs because the downstairs Ice maker was incredibly loud all night long and the downstairs master bedroom fan only has hurricane speed and upstairs the fan is adjustable. I had to get back to the office on Tuesday and my wife and kids left a couple days early simply to go somewhere that the kids could watch TV and swim before flying back to Dallas. Overall the quality of the property is great and the beach is beautiful it would have simply been much better if everything was working properly.

      Dear Guest,

Thank you so much for leaving a review and we appreciate your feedback. Unfortunately, the only issue that we were aware of during your stay was the pool heater. We weren't aware of the issues with the remotes, hot water, etc. but we will have it all looked into and resolved immediately. The pool heater has been fixed.

      Thank you,

      Great wedding venue

Left on 10/18/2012 for a stay in October 2012

Gorgeous home with high end furnishings...perfect for a small wedding. New spiral staircase is really rickety and the pool was not cleaned. Parking is a huge issue also..eight cars max...makes having a wedding there very difficult.

      Perfect Wedding Weekend!

Left on 09/24/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We chose the Bonne Terre Home for our wedding on Labor Day weekend, it was absolutely perfect! Our close friends and family stayed in the house with us, everyone had plenty of room and a great time! We held the rehearsal dinner and reception on the back patio around the pool and the ceremony on the beach. I would definitely recommend this home for an intimate wedding weekend!

Fantastic location for a great wedding experience.

Just what we expected when we rented.
Takes a while to understand how to close and lock
      the double doors.
Pool was dirty. Called and was told the pool guys would
come on Friday, but they never came.
      Like the keyless entry.
      Beach was awesome.

      Exquisite Getaway

Left on 07/25/2012 for a stay in July 2012

Bonne Terre is the perfect home for a large family. Each of our 14 people in our family had a room to themselves, easily shared with a sibling. One flight of stairs was appreciated. We made the downstairs our cooking area and the upstairs our "party" area. This way the young adults could stay upstairs and sleep and we couldn't hear them downstairs. The pool is beautiful and the best part, the beach is just a few steps away, seriously. My parents are older so the inside spiral staircase was not really an option, but the outside steps going upstairs were easily mastered. Kitchen was amazing and open. The Realty group was very kind, happy to assist and you could always get in contact with someone. This was a fabulous and tranquil place to stay. We have been vacationing in Florida for over 30 years and by far this home is the best.

      Wedding

Left on 09/15/2011 for a stay in August 2011

My husband and I chose to have our destination wedding on the private beach behind the bonne terre home. We had all of our close friends and family stay in the beach house. It is the most beautiful home I have ever been in. Our wedding turned out amazing! The pictures do not do the house justice! I recommend it to anyone looking for a large beach house that is up to date and stunning!

      Breathtaking Location

Left on 09/29/2010 for a stay in September 2010

We held my daughter's wedding at Bonne Terre and the facility far exceeded our expectations-it is truly spectacular in every detail. We rented the upstairs and downstairs which housed the brides' wedding party and their families and the brides' family plus the minister and his wife -a total of 19 people. We never felt crowded or uncomfortable in any way. All meals were prepared in the state of the art kitchen and eaten on site. We left only to go grocery shopping (Publix and Winn /Dixie are very close to the house). The grooms' family and wedding party were staying at another location close by, but they ate their meals with us at Bonne Terre increasing the # of people to 31: 27 adults and 4 children. The house accommodated and entertained us all.
The wedding was the most beautiful event I've ever attended. Everything was perfect: the house, the beach, the pool...the weather. We built a bamboo canopy on the beach for the ceremony and the reception was held around the pool. The weather had threatened rain all day, but we set up the canopy and sound system and continued to make preparations; and in mid afternoon the sun broke through! The sunset was a spectacular backdrop to a beautiful wedding. We left there planning to come back.

We had my wedding at the house and it was amazing!

Left on 05/20/2010 for a stay in May 2010

We rented the entire house and hosted a wedding reception and the rehearsal dinner there. I got married on the beach directly behind the house and it was beautiful! My entire family stayed upstairs and my husband's entire family stayed downstairs. It was great because the two families really got to know one another, yet felt as if they had their own space. We did the majority of the food for the wedding and rehearsal ourselves and having two fully equipped kitchens was great. The house is gorgeous and perfect for this kind of event. The upstairs portion of the house was not as well equipped as the downstairs. We had 8 adults staying upstairs and I'm not sure there were even 8 bath towels when we arrived. We called for more and they were brought out the next day. We also checked in after hours and the key was supposed to be in the drop box and it was not. We called the after hours number and had to wait on someone to come to the office. The office is not near this house and having to go into Destin to get the key already added quite a bit of time on to our trip, plus having to wait on someone. The furnishings in the house are gorgeous, but some of the beds are not very comfortable. I think the master bedrooms have good beds, but the smaller bedrooms do not. Overall, I loved the house and would rent it over and over again. Wedding guests were also making plans to get a group together to rent it in the future. 30A is a wonderful area. I would recommend this house to anyone, and it is especially great for a wedding.
