This little cottage was perfect for my husband and I. It was clean and cute. We loved the fact that it had laundry and a kitchen. We made a couple meals while on vacation. The gardens were so peaceful. They were the perfect spot to just sit or lay down and read a book or take a nap. I loved the fact that the owners provided bikes for us. We used them everyday. We would go on bike rides and explore the trails. It was also much more convenient to ride a bike to town or to the grocery store. You were about 2-3 minutes walk from the beach and could see it clearly from the balcony of the cottage. The beach was amazing. Being from upstate NY we don't usually have the chance to see any beaches. Kendra and Charlie were so helpful and friendly. They recommended some neat places to see.
My husband and I haven't been on vacation in 2 years and this was the perfect place for us. We relaxed and plopped down on the beach everyday. I would highly recommend this place.Response from Edgar Roca - 09/26/2012

We cannot say enough about our wonderful experience at 3-Mermaids. Our hosts, Kendra and Charlie, were kind, helpful, a joy to talk with and available in the event there are any issues ... but here were no issues. The cottage was clean, and the perfect space for a much-needed vacation. The gardens are peaceful, we loved the bikes, and the most beautiful ocean we have ever seen is just across the street ... within walking distance.

The house was just as described and pictured, as well as being spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The kitchen included everything we needed, and we were surprised to find an iron, ironing board, and hair dryer which had not been mentioned. The owners were great to offer suggestions and answer our questions. We would definitely recommend this to a couple looking for a private getaway. Nearby Seaside is a great hangout with good food and lots of activities to keep you busy. The bicycles provided with the house were an extra bonus. We logged about 50 miles on the bikes during our five days. We would certainly stay here again!

Perfect location. Just enough distance from things to be private yet close enough to walk/bike and be at your destination in minutes. Loved being able to bike to meals and shops. Check-in and check-out couldn't have been easier. The cottage is the perfect getaway for 2 - we stayed two nights, but I could have stayed weeks!

Quiet, relaxing, comfortable and stress free. Location and amenities were as advertised...short walk to the beach, everything from bikes, beach towels, umbrella, grill, coffee, etc. were provided...they have thought of everything. Loved the beach, bike rides and local resturants.

We like to think of Three Mermaids as our own little beach home. When we vacation at the beach it is for pure relaxation and being somewhere familiar is that "home away from home" feeling. We love the size, it's perfect for two; the bed is comfy, the tub deep, the garden delightful and the location a bike ride away from low key beach shopping, dining and entertainment. We have even flown in and not needed a car once we arrived. Plus we love knowing our neighbors! Kendra and Charlie are the kind of  people you want to keep in touch with over the years, they are friendly, intriguing, hospitable and private: the best neighbors you could imagine!!! For us Three Mermaids is perfect! -

This lovely cottage with courtyard garden has a cozy, relaxing, romantic atmosphere. It is convenient to the beach (just a couple of minutes walk), area restaurants, as well as, to bike and walking trails. Charlie & Kendra are great hosts and welcome their guests with a lovely basket of goodies. Bikes, beach chairs and beach umbrella are there for the guests to use. Three Mermaids is one of our favorite getaways.

Many places are "packaged" very well when on the market for rental. 3 Mermaids was exactly as the descriptions, both online and from the Holts, depicted it to be. The location is perfect for beach access and shops/restaurants/grocery trips. Charlie & Kendra had the place perfectly clean when we arrived and were there for any questions/requests we had during our stay. We will be back as guests of theirs without a doubt.

Just what we needed . . . this was our 4th visit to the 30-A area, and 3 Mermaids was the best equipped cottage in which we have lodged! Enjoyed the hammock and garden area sooo much . . . especially @ night. Funky shopping, beautiful beaches, and wonderful restaurants nearby. Cottage is very clean and well maintained. Hope to return soon! God Bless.

Kendra and Charlie have thought of everything -- from the wine and cheese basket welcoming us upon arrival, to providing bicycles for us to explore the area, towels, beach chairs, and grill. But, it was the whimsical garden and hammock that were my favorite!! The location is perfect and is a nice, short walk to the beach. We will most definitely be booking another stay at the 3 Mermaids and will recommend it to others. I don't see how anyone could be disappointed!!

Ok, we were here for work and always prefer staying someplace other than a hotel. This place is amazing! I felt as though we were treated as family. Charlie and Kendra were so kind and worked with us even when we had to change around our plans. They had everything, and I mean everything there that we needed. Since we were flying in, it is always hard to pack everything, no problem,... they had everything right down to the beach chairs and umbrella! The bikes, oh the bikes, we couldn't believe all the places we could ride and enjoyed it as tho we were the locals. The view, the sounds, the beautiful relaxing private garden, the sweet gift basket, the most comfiest bed in the world, the stones throw to the beach and the entire gammet of accomodations made the best hotel look so underrated. This is the place to stay on the beach...!!! In a boutique type village and still close to all the great adventures. Please don't let this place slip by if you are traveling to Florida. It is a best kept secret if we ever saw one. We are telling all our friends.!!!

The 3 Mermaids is a magical cottage nestled in the trees and a lovely little garden. A very quick walk to the beach and, it is clean, beautiful and comfortable. The personal touches of the owners are everywhere -- books, tapes, great directions to all the area attractions and most of all, a respectful friendliness with each interaction.
We loved to sit in the garden, read, watch the birds and take a nap in the hammock. The walk to Seaside and Watercolor was a great way to exercise and if we wanted to bike, instead, there were two provided for us -- a very nice amenity.
We will definitely go back and maybe even in the fall or winter. It would be just as cozy and a perfect place to relax even without the sun!

The Three Mermaids is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. It is a very close walk to the beach, and the stretch of beach where the house is located is just gorgeous. There are many good restaurants nearby. Fire and Borago are two of our favorites.
Charlie and Kendra, the owners, are friendly and hospitable and offer lots of good restaurant recommendations without being intrusive. Charlie and I both like mysteries, and he even gave me several books that he had already finished reading.
I wouldn't stay anywhere else! -

If you are looking for something charming, quaint, affordable, near the beach, you have to look at 3 Mermaids. It has just what you need and is near everything. Great Biking, beaching, golf, dining, and 2 of the most accomadating host we have met in many yrs. We will definitely be baack.

We spent 5 days at 3 Mermaids in June 2009 and had a wonderful experience. Charlie and Kendra were gracious hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Being so close to the beach and having access to beach chairs, picnic basket, and a grill made it feel like home. We also loved having the bikes to explore the town. We used the kitchen to cook some meals, but also used the suggestions left by past guests for restaurants to try out. We loved the place so much, we have already booked another trip for May of this year and can't wait.

We come back every year for our anniversary because it is so wonderful!! We love the charming garden (and the kitties!), the house is perfect~quiet, clean, and welcoming. The first thing we do is check out the goodies in the welcome basket then head out for a ride on the bikes. Its the perfect spot to come relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches.

Oh my goodness we love 3 Mermaids Guest Cottage!!
We found this property after a search on vrbo.com for a small place for my husband and I because we wanted to be in the vicinity of Seaside and adjoining communities. This was just the ticket!
We love the very easy access to the beach, just across 30-A with the boardwalk right there! No need to be "on the beach" with 3 Mermaids. We were close enough. Beach chairs and umbrellas are also provided. The last visit there they had made an addition of bicycles (very comfortable) for us. As always, their front yard area is very comfortable and relaxing. All at no extra charge.
Also, the cottage was made to order for us. The queen size bed is a dream. Just felt like home! The extra perks like the oversize jacuzzi tub, the kitchen upstairs along with our "welcome" basket put together so lovingly by Kendra. I'm sure Charlie helped but the basket is always special.
We felt like we had our own little oasis right there in Seagrove. We try to return each year and have sent our friends to 3 Mermaids for their getaway.
We highly recommend 3 Mermaids as "THE" place to go in Seagrove, Florida!
