Left on 10/20/2012 for a stay in October 2012
My husband and I stayed in this condo with our two young children. We were surprised at how much of the ocean you could see even though this was a "partial view" room. There is not a lot of clutter and the t.v. in the living room sat down low (instead of over the fireplace) in this condo which made it very kid friendly. The kitchen could use a few more essentials but overall was adequate. The best part was the pool! The water was as warm as bath water! Perfect for little tikes wanting to play. The customer service is always wonderful and the rooms are very clean. We will be returning soon.

Austin, TXNice condo, spacious, great view.

We were completely happy with the whole experience. The condo was right on the beach one block from the main drag. It was super bright in the main living dining area.
The only negative, and who cares, but the building looks a little old and shabby on the outside, but not inside. -

Vancouver, WaThe best of both

My fiance and I were planning a quick romantic getaway and had a hard time deciding between a vacation rental home and a hotel. We like to stay in and cook, so the stocked kitchen in a vacation rental is nice. Hotels on the other hand are convenient. Vacation rentals also tend to carry a cleaning fee which adds a lot to the cost for such a short stay. We've also had bad experiences in the past at vacation rentals that charged a steep cleaning fee and required guest to clean (including washing all linens) prior to check out.
What was so great about Sand and Sea is that it had all the amenities of a vacation rental and none of the extra fees or cleaning requirements.
The view was great, even from the "side view" room. We went in February and got the 2-for-1 special which was an amazing value. -

This condo was very clean featuring a new shower stall and exhaust fan in the restroom. I love clean rentals; especially the ones where everything works! We have stayed at competing Oceanfront Condominiums, some Oceanfront Hotels, and even a no tell Motel in Seaside. In some of the others, I clean just to make a stay bearable. The Sand and Sea staff is to be commended!

Kuna, IdahoSo much better than a hotel!
Left on 07/31/2010 for a stay in June 2010
We really enjoyed our stay! The view was really nice and better than expected since we opted for the more economical side view. Nice sized living room and kitchen. We would stay again if we could find the same discount again of $85 / night. We wished the bedroom had a king instead of a queen, and a vacuum in the unit would be nice. The furniture is a little dated, but maybe that is understandable considering that everyone is probably dragging a lot of sand into the units. We loved the fireplace and sitting on the deck enjoying the view. If the furniture and bedding was updated, it would give it a much better feel, but still we would return and loved our time there. Checking in and out was a breeze, and staff was very friendly.

Portland, OregonOne of our favorite spots.
Left on 06/09/2010 for a stay in June 2010
Great place. We have stayed previously in this unit and other units. We like this one the best and request it when returning.
Our only complaint, it is a major one, is we found the bed was very uncomfortable and we did not sleep well. The entry door locks need to be lubricated or replaced. It is very hard to unlock them from the inside and outsice. -

This was the first time we stayed at Sand and Sea, and we totally enjoyed it! The condo was perfect for us...it was comfortable, and we totally felt like we were at home! We were able to cook some meals, which was very nice. The view was gorgeous, and being so close to the beach was great!
We hope to be able to stay there again someday!
Thank you very much for sharing your condo with us!

Longview, WAA Wonderful Anniversary
Left on 05/07/2009 for a stay in October 2008
We LOVE the Sand and Sea in Seaside, OR. It has been our choice of vacation property for the last 5 or 6 years. Every spring break our daughter would choose between 1 and 3 friends and we would head to the Sand and Sea. She is now in college so this time my husband and I went for our anniversary.
We have stayed in many of the units and have been generally pleased with all of them. The beds have been comfortable and the kitchens have had everything we needed. The building is very quiet at night. My only complaint would be that a couple times (out of 7 or so) the units have not been well cleaned but nothing extreme. (We know extreme as we stayed in a place with mold a foot up the wall in Leavenworth one time.)
We would (and do) HIGHLY recommend the Sand and Sea to everyone. This stay was on the top floor and the elevator worked flawlessly and the view and breeze from the balcony was lovely. Book your next vacation here. You really can't go wrong.
